CHAPTER 150: CHAPTER 145: I AM RATHER IMPATIENT (FIRST UPDATE)
"What are you thinking about? Your ears are all red." Tong Airui reached out, tapped her shoulder, and said with a grin, "Could it be you’re daydreaming about me?"
Yuan Hang glanced at his shameless master through the rearview mirror, chuckled, but didn’t dare say a word.
Yi Luowa squinted playfully at Tong Airui. "How would you know what I’m thinking? I am daydreaming about you! I’m thinking of how best to eat you—steamed, braised, or boiled?"
"Haha... eat me however you like, but don’t make me wait too long. I’m not a patient man."
Yi Luowa shot him a glare. "Starting now, you’re not allowed to talk to me anymore, or else I’ll turn you into a cold dish right here and now!"
Tong Airui chuckled and scooted closer to his little wife. Not speaking? Fine, he’d just grab her small hand and hold it tightly in his own.
The car arrived at the airport. Yuan Hang sent someone inside to check the flight information. After confirming there were no delays, he let Tong Airui and Yi Luowa out of the car.
As soon as they stepped into the departure hall, the admiring gazes of handsome men and beautiful women floated their way.
Yi Luowa glanced at Tong Airui, clad in pristine white, and pouted in discontent. This guy—no matter what he wore—always looked like a walking clothes rack, shining brightly wherever he went.
She hated it when other people ogled her man, and Tong Airui, being an even bigger vat of vinegar, couldn’t stand the way other men looked at his little wife. In the hospital, people would also occasionally admire her openly, but at least there were fewer people there. In this crowded departure hall, there were people everywhere, their stares landing on them. Tong Airui started feeling murderous again!
Tong Airui frowned and turned to Yuan Hang, who was trailing behind. "Yuan Hang, dispatch someone to buy a few hats and masks."
Yi Luowa readily agreed, nodding. "Yes, hurry, and cover up that face of yours that ruins nations and brings calamity!"
"I’m buying them for you!" Tong Airui huffed in dissatisfaction.
"Humph! Nobody’s looking at me; they’re all looking at you!" Yi Luowa puffed up indignantly and turned her head away.
Yuan Hang glanced at the bickering pair, laughing. "They’re not looking at either of you; they’re all staring at me. Honestly, no matter who they’re looking at, just let them! With appearances like yours—Master and Madam—let them look and envy all they want!"
"Am I being ignored?" Tong Airui shot him an icy glare.
Yuan Hang immediately halted, gave instructions to the subordinates trailing them, and then caught up to Tong Airui again. "Master, I’ve arranged everything."
Tong Airui grunted in acknowledgment, glanced around, and found a spot near a pillar to sit down. He pulled Yi Luowa into his arms. "Don’t lift your head, don’t look around, just stay quietly right here in my arms."
"Then you lower your head, too. No peeking around!" Yi Luowa tugged at his ear. "Hurry! We can’t let those little women take advantage of what’s ours."
Tong Airui smiled and kissed her rosy lips. "Alright, our stuff won’t be cheapened by others."
Seeing him obediently lower his head, Yi Luowa smiled in satisfaction. The two blatantly snuggled and flaunted their affection, while Yuan Hang and the subordinates vigilantly guarded their masters.
Just as the plane was about to land, the subordinate tasked with buying hats finally hurried back. Yi Luowa eyed the two ugly hats disdainfully and grabbed a mask instead.
"Tong Airui, just wear this. If I put on one of those hats, that pig will laugh me to death."
Tong Airui shot the subordinate an displeased look before taking the mask from Yi Luowa’s hand.
The subordinate, sensing Tong Airui’s annoyance, hurriedly explained, "Master, there are no brand-name stores in the airport. I searched for a long time and could only find these hats."
"Keep them for yourself." Tong Airui saw that Yi Luowa had already put on her mask. He put on his own and led her to the arrival gate.
"Haha... I’m all geared up now. I wonder if that pig can still recognize me."
"I’ll recognize you no matter what."
"Hey, seems like someone’s coming out." Yi Luowa craned her neck to peer inside.
"Hmm, they’re probably waiting for their luggage. No rush."
Twenty minutes later, people began trickling out with their luggage. Yi Luowa pointed to someone walking in the middle of the crowd and excitedly exclaimed, "Fourth brother, I see the pig!"
Tong Airui followed her finger and saw a pair of handsome blonde-haired, blue-eyed individuals chatting and laughing as they emerged. "Huo Li!" Yi Luowa waved enthusiastically.
Huo Li looked over with delight.
Justus followed her voice, and as his gentle gaze landed on Yi Luowa’s face, Tong Airui’s expression instantly darkened.
Huo Li rushed over and hugged Yi Luowa tightly. "Zhu Bao’er, why are you wearing a mask in the middle of summer?"
"To cover my heat rash. Want one? I’ll give you one to wear."
"No thanks, keep it for yourself." Huo Li chuckled and turned to Tong Airui. "So this is your guy?"
"My fourth brother," Yi Luowa said with a sweet smile. "Fourth brother, this is Huo Li, and this is Justus."
"Hello." Tong Airui nodded courteously.
Huo Li grinned. "Judging by the height and voice, he should be decent. But you’re wearing that big mask in the middle of summer—maybe you’re too ugly and afraid we’ll see?"
