CHAPTER 612: CHAPTER 525 DO YOU HAVE A WOMAN ON THE SIDE? (PART 1)

Tong Airui hugged his daughter and felt a pang of inexplicable sympathy for the Queen of Haotian. She had never even held her own daughter before, and he’d just been angry with her earlier. How much must her heart ache?

Tong Airui glanced guiltily at his wife, seeing her play happily with their son. He sighed silently to himself. For his wife’s sake, he decided he should get angry at the Queen of Haotian less often in the future.

After dinner, the family sat on the sofa, watching the three children.

The three little ones were sitting on the sofa like mini-adults. Yi Luowa was seated on the rug in front of them, her hand guarding the edge of the sofa to prevent them from falling off.

As everyone chatted, they heard the sound of a car outside.

Tong Jiaqi, who had been dozing off, suddenly opened his eyes wide. "Could it be Xixi arriving?"

Tong Yao glanced at her dad with amusement. "Probably not—it might not be her. She said she wouldn’t get here until after ten. I think it’s Xuanxuan and the others coming back."

Tong Airui shook his head. "Xuanxuan coming back? Unlikely. He told me this morning that he wouldn’t return until he won a yacht..."

"We already won the yacht!" Xuanxuan’s laughter rang out from outside the door.

Tong Jiaqi, realizing it wasn’t his daughter, started nodding off again.

Tong Yao chuckled, "Dad, you should just go to bed. Stop waiting."

Tao Yanran laughed, "Your dad is like this with all of you. Back when you lived elsewhere, he was always looking forward to seeing you. Now that you’re here, he’s just waiting for Xixi."

"If we all live together, he won’t need to look forward to anyone anymore."

Tong Yao noticed that the children were only making noise but hadn’t entered, so she quickly got up. She barely reached the door when she saw Ning Mingxi standing at the entrance, covering Xuanxuan and Youyou’s mouths to stop them from speaking.

Standing behind her, Danton was holding a model yacht, unable to squeeze inside. Mai Shenglun stood next to Danton, shaking his head repeatedly.

"What are you doing?! You arrived but won’t come in? Don’t you know Dad is waiting for you?" Tong Yao gave Ning Mingxi a hard stare.

Ning Mingxi pouted, "I wanted to listen in and see if you were talking bad about me."

"Nobody in this house, except for Long Che, bothers talking about you! Now get inside and stop blocking the door!" Tong Yao said as she pulled Ning Mingxi’s hand down and forcibly dragged her into the room. "In front of the kids, I won’t say much, but you’re getting more and more unruly as you age!"

"You call that not saying much? Mom, your daughter-in-law is bullying me!" Ning Mingxi whined, complaining to Jing Ya.

Jing Ya laughed, "You probably haven’t eaten yet. I’ll go to the kitchen and ask them to make you dinner."

"Favoritism! Every time I talk about Yaoyao, you run away!" Ning Mingxi muttered and directed her gaze at her father.

Tong Jiaqi looked at his daughter and laughed before closing his eyes.

"I told you I wasn’t coming, but you insisted on calling me over! Now that I’m here, you treat me like this. It’s so unfair!" Ning Mingxi pouted but then caught sight of her grandson. "My eldest grandson must be on my side!"

Before she could approach the sofa, Long Che swooped in, picking up Sangyu. Tong Airui wasn’t far behind; he immediately scooped up his son.

Yi Luowa hadn’t even reacted when Mai Zekai rushed forward, grabbing Pengpeng faster than anyone could see.

Tong Yao laughed until she was nearly out of breath.

Ning Mingxi put her hands on her hips, glaring at the three men holding the children, "I’m not some plague! Why are you rushing to take the kids away? If I’d known you’d treat me like this, I’d have never bothered coming!"

"Take it easy for once!" Mai Shenglun strolled over, his voice relaxed. "Go spend some time chatting with Dad. You’ve been grumbling about him the entire way here, and now that you’re here, why aren’t you spending time with him?"

"He doesn’t even lift his eyelids when he sees me. Why should I bother with him? Let’s go home." Ning Mingxi huffed, grabbing Mai Shenglun’s arm as she made to leave.

Long Che cleared his throat, "If you want to go, then go alone! Nuo’er, drive her to the airport yourself!"

Tong Aino responded with a cheerful, "OK!"

"You’re kicking me out and expecting me to leave? I’m not leaving! This is my home too!" Ning Mingxi plopped down on the sofa, finally calming down.

Yi Luowa blinked as she realized her father was the only one who could keep Aunt Xixi in check.

"Oh, is this the yacht you won?" Tong Airui, seeing Ning Mingxi settle down, turned his attention toward Danton. Given that Danton was his wife’s younger brother, Tong Airui suddenly felt unsure how to approach him.

"It really is! Though it’s something I bought for them." Danton presented the yacht model like a treasure, holding it up for the three children to admire. "Do you like it?"

Sangyu glanced at it without much interest, while Ziyan and Pengpeng wriggled excitedly in the adults’ arms.

The model wasn’t small—it was about a meter long and half a meter tall. Yi Luowa noticed Danton struggling to hold it and quickly offered some help, "Put it down on the rug so they can see it."
