CHAPTER 622: CHAPTER 532: YOU ARE NOT A CHILD WITHOUT PARENTS! (PART 2)

Long Che and Tong Airui went out together. As soon as the two of them left, the whole family gathered in the living room—some were playing chess, some playing cards, others gaming or chatting, while some were looking after the kids. The living room was packed with laughter and activity.

Tong Yao smiled and said, "This year, everyone is here, the most complete gathering we’ve had in ages. It feels like those days we spent back in Z country have returned."

Madam Jing Ya nodded with a smile, "Indeed, although a few are missing, we’ve added quite a few family members over the past couple of years, making it even livelier."

"Let’s all stay up tonight. Whoever gets sleepy, go rest now instead of dozing off later tonight," Tong Yao said with a grin, looking at everyone.

Tong Aino chuckled mysteriously, "No need to sleep. Tonight, everyone will definitely be wide awake. Mom, send these three little rascals to your room to sleep later. I want to set off fireworks and don’t want to wake them up scared."

Ning Mingxi pursed her lips, "Our Pengpeng isn’t going to your dad’s room. Don’t let him accidentally kick us out again."

Connie laughed, "Auntie, isn’t Mom going to be there? He wouldn’t dare."

"Your dad is unpredictable!" Ning Mingxi snorted. "Tonight, I’ll hold Pengpeng while sleeping. You all go set off your fireworks; I promise not to let Pengpeng be startled."

"Everyone’s having a great time, don’t ruin the fun for us! If you don’t want to send him to Dad’s, put Pengpeng in my room," Tong Aino said, reaching out to nudge Danton, who was still playing games. "Come join me tonight to set off fireworks with Fifth Brother."

Danton quickly nodded, "Mm-hmm, I haven’t set off those things before."

Yi Luowa glanced at Danton, her chest tightening inexplicably. Over these years, he had never even had the chance to set off fireworks.

"Can you two quit playing these dumb games already?" Mi Chenxuan, who was playing cards, snatched Youyou’s phone away with a flick of his hand.

Youyou glared angrily, "Just a few more hits, and I’d have taken him down! The drop this time was rare materials!"

Without her help, Danton panicked, frantically using all his skills. In the end, he was still sliced down to the ground by the big boss.

Danton put down his phone in frustration, looking at Yi Luowa pitifully, "I died."

Yi Luowa smiled, "It’s just a game. If you die, you die—take it as a break. Don’t stay glued to the phone all the time; it’s bad for your eyes. With such beautiful eyes, it’d be a shame if you had to wear glasses."

"Do you still think I’m a kid?" Danton replied helplessly with a smile.

"You’re no kid—you’re a young man now!" Yi Luowa laughed, turning on the TV and handing the remote to Danton. "Watching TV is better than staring at your phone. If you really like playing, I’ll buy you a tablet tomorrow. That screen is at least bigger."

"If you’re going to stop them, then stop them completely!" Mi Chenxuan pressed Youyou’s phone under his leg and reached out to grab Danton’s phone too. "I won’t let you two play this trash game together anymore. Hand over all your phones—confiscated!"

"Haha... I thought you didn’t get jealous, but turns out you do!" Maizekai joked as he tossed out a pair of twos and hesitated over his next move. Jimo Shanshan held up one finger toward him.

Mi Chenxuan glared at the pair, "Are you even playing? If not, get out of here!"

"Exactly! Picking on us!" Joyina pouted.

"Yes, I’m picking on you two!" Maizekai said with a laugh, tossing out a three.

Jimo Shanshan quickly followed with a four, then smugly threw her remaining cards onto the coffee table. "Just one card left—figure out how to deal with it."

"Definitely a joker. Joyina, got any bombs? Bomb it out and play a pair," Mi Chenxuan said, leaning forward to sneak a peek at Joyina’s cards.

Youyou seized the chance, snatching the two phones back from under his leg.

Before long, the group was laughing and teasing, piling into a playful melee. Sangyu, Ziyan, and Pengpeng, watching them, burst into laughter.

The lively atmosphere lasted all the way until dinnertime.

After dinner, the family gathered in the living room to watch Long Che and Tong Airui’s TV speech.

This year, their speech was short but packed with meaning.

Ziyan stared at his dad on the TV, babbling, "Yah-yah."

Sangyu seemed to understand his brother and began babbling along, "Yah-yah."

Yi Luowa looked at her twins with a smile. "You two think Daddy is super handsome, don’t you?"

Sangyu scrunched her little nose at Mom, giggling.

Ziyan became a bit anxious, repeating "Ba-ba" over and over again.

Tong Yao and Yi Luowa exchanged glances. "Luowa, is Ziyan calling Daddy?"

"It sounds like it, but he’s too young to be calling him ’Daddy,’ right?" Yi Luowa said, visibly excited, holding her son’s chubby little hand and speaking gently. "Ziyan, were you just calling Daddy?"
