CHAPTER 645: CHAPTER 548 YOU ARE BLESSED (THIRD UPDATE)

The Queen of Haotian asked nervously, "How many?"

"Ten! They must really want us dead! Luckily, Airui has everything set up here, so we didn’t have to rush back. Otherwise, we might’ve lost our lives on the way!"

The Queen of Haotian tightly held the Emperor’s hand. "Randy, we promised to face hardships together, so I must go back with you!"

"You don’t need to go back with me, and you don’t need to worry about me. This time, there definitely won’t be any danger. Airui arranged for me to take the special train back, and he will send people to escort me."

"You’re fortunate to have such a wonderful son-in-law who is always looking out for you."

The Emperor of Haotian laughed. "Isn’t he your son-in-law too!"

The Queen threw an arrogant glance at him. "Of course, he’s mine too! Randy, let’s have the plane take off early. It might help test whether there are any remaining threats."

"Hmm, the plane will take off half an hour before the train. We’ve already arranged everything on the RV. Now you should be able to relax, right?"

"Then I’ll stay here first. Once Danton’s toxin is cured, I’ll return. After you go back, let’s stay connected by phone at all times, and take care of yourself, okay?"

"For you, our three children, and our two adorable grandchildren, I won’t let anything happen to myself." The Emperor of Haotian smiled and patted his wife’s shoulder. "Let’s head out. We should spend some time with the kids."

The Queen hesitated with her hand on the door handle and turned to her husband. "Randy, do you like Airui’s car?"

The Emperor of Haotian was momentarily stunned. "What are you plotting? Are you thinking of stealing our son-in-law’s car?"

The Queen chuckled. "Why would I steal it? Your daughter said she wants to make one just like it for you."

The Emperor’s gaze darkened slightly. "We’ve hardly fulfilled a day’s worth of responsibility as parents, yet we’re already enjoying our daughter’s blessings."

The Queen’s hand fell weakly. "Luowa is a good child. She wouldn’t hold grudges or weigh gains and losses against us. But the kinder she is, the more guilty I feel."

"Take it slow. The child doesn’t lack anything; all we can give her now is more familial love."

"Truthfully, the child doesn’t even lack familial love. In such a family, Luowa is practically living in a honey pot. Meeting Airui is her blessing, and ours too."

The Queen raised her eyes to look at her husband as though she wanted to say something, but ultimately, she swallowed her words. Some things, despite being correct, are still unattainable due to the whims of fate and are better left unsaid.

The spouses stepped out the door, and Long Che dutifully handed Ziyan to the Queen while the Emperor took Sangyu from Tong Yao’s arms.

A sudden event compounded by faint farewells made the living room feel heavy. Were it not for the two kids constantly entertaining everyone, Luowa might have ended up crying.

Her father was returning alone to clean up the mess. Despite Tong Airui repeatedly assuring her that their father wouldn’t face any harm, she still couldn’t stop worrying. She even felt an impulse to accompany him back, but she had her family here, and no one would agree to let her leave for Haotian.

After dinner, Tong Airui and Luowa personally escorted the Emperor of Haotian to the train station.

The Emperor lovingly looked at his daughter. Seeing her trying to hold back tears to the point where her nose reddened, he gently pulled her into his embrace.

Luowa spoke through her sobs, "Dad, you must be careful when you go back!"

"Dad will be fine; don’t worry. For you all, I will cherish my life!" He stroked her head gently. "Since Dad won’t be with you for now, take care of yourself. Only when you’re in good health can you take care of your mom, your brother, and the two kids."

Luowa nodded vigorously, steadied herself, and turned to Yuan Hang. "Yuan Hang, I’m entrusting my dad to you. Please take care of him!"

Yuan Hang said solemnly, "Don’t worry. If I’m here, the Emperor is here. If I’m not here, the Emperor will still be here!"

Luowa sniffled, slowly stepped out of her father’s arms, and said, "Dad, safe journey."

The Emperor smiled and nodded, turning to board the train. The moment his foot touched the step, tears blurred his vision.

The Emperor raised his head slightly, stopped the tears, and resolved that once he returned, he would conduct a meticulous investigation to ensure such farewells would never happen again.

The train slowly pulled out of the station. Luowa stayed in place, staring into the distance.

Tong Airui gently pulled her into his embrace. "Don’t watch. Everything will be fine."

Luowa pressed her lips together, buried her head deep into his chest, and murmured, "Having you here feels so good!"

"I love hearing you say that!" Tong Airui laughed and ruffled her hair. "Let’s go back. Don’t keep the family waiting."

"Mm." Luowa hugged his neck and said, "I’m so nervous I don’t even know which leg to move."

"Let me be your legs," Tong Airui said with a smile before lifting her into his arms.

The two returned home, but Luowa felt the house was desolate. Her father had left, You Jia had left, and her elder brother’s family had returned. Aunt Xixi and Uncle Randy had also gone back to Z Country.

"Where’s my sister?" Tong Airui frowned, seeing that his sister and her family were missing. "At this hour, they wouldn’t have taken the kids to Soya too, would they?"

Tong Yao laughed and responded, "Duoduo and Yak are exhausted. Your sister and brother-in-law took them upstairs to sleep. Your sister said she’d take Danton to the hospital tomorrow to check his condition before deciding when to leave."

Luowa smiled softly. Little Raindrop has always been a warm-hearted person.

Tong Yao gestured toward Yi Weiyang’s bedroom and said, "Go check on Huo Li. She’s been throwing up badly; I think she’s had a heat rash from staying here these past few days."

"Alright." Luowa dashed to her uncle’s bedroom without even knocking, pushing the door open.

And instantly regretted it.

At this moment, Huo Li was nestled in her uncle’s arms, acting spoiled, while her uncle comforted her like a child.

Seeing Luowa enter, Yi Weiyang’s face flushed red to his ears, and he quickly tried to help Huo Li sit upright.

Huo Li clung to him tightly. "What’s there to be scared of? She and her husband are even clingier than us!"

"Exactly, stay like this. Cling all you want!" Luowa teased with a grin as she approached. "My mom said you threw up earlier. How are you feeling now?"

"As long as my big uncle hugs me, I won’t throw up anymore," Huo Li giggled.

Yi Weiyang chuckled helplessly.

Luowa laughed and said, "Then let my uncle keep hugging you. If there’s anything you’d like to eat, let me know, and I’ll have someone make it for you. If staying here has made you feel unwell, you should go home tomorrow. Nothing beats being at home."

Huo Li pouted and said, "We’ll check on Danton first before deciding whether to go back. No matter how uncomfortable I feel, I’ll stick it out a couple more days."

"You’re planning to go to the hospital tomorrow? Don’t go. A place like that isn’t good for pregnant women."

"He’s your own brother. How could I not go?" Huo Li said impatiently, dismissing Luowa with a wave. "Hurry up and leave; stop interrupting our sweet time. So annoying!"

Yi Weiyang held Huo Li’s hand firmly and gazed at Luowa. "Your dad has left, so your mom will surely worry about him. Go and keep her company. I’ll take care of Huo Li."

"Okay," Luowa said softly but firmly. "If Huo Li wants anything, just send me a text."

After seeing Yi Weiyang nod, Luowa finally left the room.

Everyone sat in the living room for a while longer until the three kids were ready for bed, and people gradually retreated to their respective rooms.

Luowa and Tong Airui followed the Queen of Haotian up to the third floor. The Queen smiled and said, "No one needs to stay with me tonight. You two can sit for a while and then head back to rest."

"Mom..." Luowa looked at her mother worriedly.

The Queen of Haotian grinned. "I’m more afraid of you kicking me at night. I’d sleep even worse."

"Only I’m not afraid of your kicking," Tong Airui teased with a laugh, ruffling his wife’s hair. "Where’s Danton? He’s been gone for a while now."

"He’s hiding from you, afraid you’ll scold him. I’ve already taught him; he won’t mess with other people’s systems anymore."

Tong Airui raised an eyebrow slightly. "Who said I was going to scold him?"

"If you’re not going to scold me, I’ll come in right now!" Danton peeked in timidly.

Luowa laughed and waved him in. "Come on, hurry up."

Danton walked in hesitantly.

Luowa stared at him half-amused, half-annoyed. "We’re going to the hospital tomorrow. Feeling nervous?"

"Not while you’re here," Danton replied, grinning as he sat down beside his mother. "Mom, Sis, you guys don’t need to worry either. Detoxification isn’t life-threatening. If it works, it’ll be my luck. If not, I’m fine this way too. People should count their blessings. At least I don’t have to stay in bed all day anymore—that’s already a big win."

The Queen laughed as she patted her son’s head. Just as she was about to speak, her phone rang. She glanced at it quickly and answered.

"Dad’s call?" Luowa whispered to her brother.

Danton puckered his lips and shook his head.
