CHAPTER 36: CHAPTER 31: INVISIBILITY

(These Chapters are a bit of a mind-bender.)

Shawn enjoyed a wonderful sleep.

When he opened his eyes and woke up, he found he had already been promoted.

Not only was he promoted, but he also leaped two Extraordinary Levels and mastered his first Second Ring spell.

Compared to other Extraordinary Paths, the promotion within the Casting Sequence more easily determines the current strength, as the highest Spell Ring a Wizard Path can master corresponds to the respective Extraordinary Level. Before Shawn obtained the Tier Two Extraordinary Essence, his Extraordinary Level was at most 5, and he could master up to 3 Ring spells.

"I’ve jumped two Extraordinary Levels at once."

Shawn gently raised his fingertips, a glimmer of light appeared before his eyes. When he attempted to further harness the Primitive Magic Power within him, the sudden burst of light turned his vision into a blank white.

He was temporarily blinded by his own spell.

"Three new spells have been added."

"All taught by knowledge." Shawn murmured.

The magical essence of the Bizarre Realm is twisted, and the end of the Old Era signifies the complete collapse of the once Professional System.

Therefore, like many Professional Systems that disappeared with the Old Era, many spells in the Wizard Path also became history, as the twisted world rules failed to exhibit these Old Era spells through matching Extraordinary Essence.

Similarly, those spells that survived have also drastically changed, yet the activation of knowledge gave birth to many new spells.

Just as Lady Hecate said — ’Knowledge will teach you spells.’

Shawn further digested the Extraordinary Essence within him.

And the Primitive Magic Power contained within the Extraordinary Essence also taught Shawn some new spells through its mysterious knowledge.

The Wizard Path can master a vast array of Supernatural Spells.

Apart from the spells taught by the mystical knowledge contained within the Primitive Magic Power during promotion, all other spells need to be stolen or seized from other bizarre creatures by Shawn.

However, while digesting the Extraordinary Essence, the Casting Path will not significantly enhance one’s physical attributes.

Most Extraordinary Essences that substantially enhance physical attributes are derived from ’flesh mutates.’

"0 Ring Flash Skill, the simplest trick."

Shawn began to further comprehend the mystical knowledge in his brain, estimating he is now at Extraordinary Level 3, having digested nearly half of the Primitive Magic Power.

Ring Identification Skill.

The second spell derived from the digested mystical knowledge, originally used for identifying Magic Curios in the Old Era, but changed dramatically after knowledge became a living entity.

For it can identify the existence of anything.

As Shawn picked up a pen from the desk, the mystical knowledge in his brain began to flow. The living knowledge touched the pen before him and soon conveyed information to Shawn, which emerged in his mind.

——"A handsome and gifted Wizard Apprentice. Praise the master!"

Knowledge’s expression was somewhat flattering.

At this moment, Shawn has never felt so clearly that the knowledge of the Bizarre Realm is indeed ’alive.’

Though a bit mad.

Shawn turned his gaze to the desk in front of him. The flowing mystical knowledge merely touched it before quickly completing the identification.

The knowledge gave a cold answer.

Shawn slowly removed the confusion, and the mysterious knowledge in his body began to tremble slightly. It flowed to envelop the confusion, lingered for a while, then slowly dissipated.

The knowledge was a bit disappointed, still not abundant enough.

The effect of this Identification Spell is determined by the knowledge accumulated by Shawn, with the most crucial aspect being the digestion and accumulation of mystical knowledge. Compared to other Extraordinary Paths, the Wizard Path requires the most accumulation.

——Invisibility Technique (2 Ring Spell).

The third spell taught by the mystical knowledge to Shawn, the 2 Ring Invisibility Technique, works similarly to when encountering the Ghost-faced Assassin.

However, the other party’s invisibility relies on the supernatural ability of the Shadow Sequence, while Shawn uses Primitive Magic Power to drive mystical knowledge to cast the spell. He can also apply it to others, allowing them to become invisible for a certain time.

Shawn began testing the effect of this spell.

He saw the mystical knowledge driven by Primitive Magic Power transform into an invisible grey shroud, enveloping him, after which he completely disappeared from the naked eyes of others.

"The most useful life-saving ability so far." Shawn mused.

Because knowledge has turned into a living being, most Old Era spells have become ineffective, even when Wizards cast spells, it solely relies on the ability to master knowledge.

So far, Shawn hasn’t encountered any Transcendent needing spells to drive Supernatural Power.

Shawn drew his firearm.

An Invisible Hand extended from his back, picking up the pen from the desk. The invisible shroud wrapped around him did not disappear, only expanded slightly, erasing both the gun and pen from visual perception.

"A very potent spell, perfect for sneak attacks."

The Invisible Hand does not seem to disrupt the stability of the grey shroud maintaining invisibility, but firing the gun might.

"Finally, a bit of a life-saving method."

Shawn opened the door. He still made faint footsteps, left traces on the carpet, merely becoming invisible to the naked eye.

"It appears knowledge is the most vital resource for the Wizard Path."

"Knowledge is crucial."

Once, some Transcendents consumed most of their current stage’s Extraordinary Essence at once; their strength increased far beyond others, presumably linked to accumulation before progressing to the Transcendent.

Some Transcendents suppress their Sequence Level, stay there for a while, then merge the corresponding Extraordinary Essence to directly jump levels to a higher sequence. (For example, jump from 10 to 12.)

"Seems like previous life’s knowledge is effective too."

Shawn closed his eyes to sense the mystical knowledge in his brain, gradually saying: "And the teachings of Lady Hecate, the books she provided containing mystical knowledge."

No wonder Lorice is so much stronger than Shawn.

Her brain probably harbors knowledge from the Otherworld of a previous life, which is why her promotion speed is so fast, much stronger than Shawn.

Shawn’s figure suddenly appeared. He dispelled the spell upon him and turned towards the library.

He now craves knowledge.
