Chapter 227: Chief of Alchemist’s Association
CHAPTER 227: CHIEF OF ALCHEMIST’S ASSOCIATION
"Not only knowing the type of Bloodline and Talent, but also knowing simple habits. Everything from the dominant hand, hairstyle, clothing, and even favorite food and drinks. I can see you’re an attentive person, Gara," Langga praised.
Actually, Gara didn’t want to be that extreme, but all of his friends had done their assignment well.
Madha had managed to get detailed information about his teammates’ Bloodlines and Talents. He had even assigned roles to every team member in case their team was deployed for combat.
Andine, who was already popular, and thanks to her straightforward nature, had managed to get a lot of information from her teammates.
Even Fian had successfully completed his task after his teammates volunteered details of their abilities when asking Fian about his own.
On the other hand, Gara had the misfortune of being grouped with people who were difficult to work with.
Aside from the Human boy on his team, he hadn’t spoken with the other members. This Human boy was also very quiet, seemingly intimidated by Vania.
Meanwhile, Mona, the Ghost girl, was too difficult to track down. Every time he tried to talk with her, she would vanish.
He only got minimal information about his teammates from Miki’s gossip, and it was barely anything.
Because of that, he couldn’t get their detailed Bloodline and Talent information. Instead, he chose a different method, observing them from afar, noting their simple mannerisms, and making that into his assignment.
Unbeknownst to him, this method drew significant attention.
When Langga finally moved to Mona, Gara heaved a sigh of relief.
Meanwhile, another member on his team was grappling with her own thoughts, trying to understand why Gara, who didn’t appear close to her at all, even seemingly hate her, knew such detailed and simple things about her.
Without realizing it, the girl’s cheeks were flushing.
The entire Strategy class was spent reviewing group assignments.
Three students received even higher praise than Gara, making Langga’s acknowledgement of him feel relatively minor: Madha, Revan, and Lysa.
These three Class S students had successfully gained the trust of their teammates and secured crucial information. Langga didn’t stop praising them.
From his seat, Gara stared intently at Langga. This man was truly different from his cold side.
When he became a teacher, he embraced the role completely and did his best to improve his students. He transformed into another person entirely.
...
Inside the long hallway, two humans were walking side by side, a middle-aged woman in a white robe and a middle-aged man in a black robe.
"It took so much effort to find the real identity of that Alchemy Genius and to find where he went. At least, it’s worth the effort when I know he became a student of Gyakarta Academy, a Class S student, nonetheless," the middle-aged woman said.
"In the end, this academy is the place for genius. But, I think there is someone protecting him from the background," the middle-aged man replied.
"That’s good, Professor Ilyas. Talented people need to be protected. Now that we know his identity, we also ought to protect him."
"You’re right, Chief Ambar." Ilyas nodded with a determined gaze. "As long as he remains a student of Gyakarta Academy, I will protect him at all costs."
The conversation of the two middle-aged people stopped when they crossed paths with a petite woman.
"Good morning, Professor Aura," Ambar greeted.
"Good morning, Alchemist Chief," Aura replied, slightly out of breath. "The Niskara tea and all of Alrova products, is it true that the creator is a student from our academy?"
Her astonishment vividly showed the shock and anticipation in her heart.
Ilyas’s nod made her even more enthusiastic. "Let’s meet him in my Alchemist Class."
The three middle-aged people then strode toward the Alchemist Class with anticipating hearts. They finally arrived in front of the class door.
Click.
Ilyas, as the teacher of this class, opened the door. Their gazes met the students’ curious looks.
Who wouldn’t be curious seeing one stranger and the professor of another class enter their classroom?
"Morning, everyone..." Ilyas opened the class, like any other day, ignoring the students’ glances toward the two other people present.
After the opening remarks, Ilyas finally mentioned the stranger in the class. "She is the Chief of the Alchemist Association in our Kingdom."
Sounds of shock, awe, and amazement were heard from the class.
The Chief of the Alchemist Association in this kingdom meant she was the best alchemist in the kingdom, and arguably the best among all alchemists on continent.
It was an immensely high-ranking position.
"Hello, everyone. I’d like to meet all of you, the future alchemists of our kingdom. We aren’t dispatched to the frontline, but we have a significant role in the war against Mist Monsters.
Our pills can save the lives of fellow Liners. So, all of you need to know how important we are..." Ambar explained with fiery enthusiasm.
"Another reason we can take pride in our title as an alchemist is that we can improve, upgrade, evolve— we can make the best pill one day, and we can make an even greater one the next. We don’t have limitations like other Liners."
Every word Ambar spoke ignited an even fiercer passion in the students’ hearts. Those who were already alchemists were more determined to become the best, and those still in the introductory phase realized they had chosen correctly.
"In this class, among your classmates, there is a genius alchemist. Someone who could solve a difficult problem that veteran alchemists couldn’t, and who made a great pill. Right now, I want to meet him, and I want all of you to know that you have this great friend."
After her motivational words, Ambar now showed them that the living proof was right there among them.
In his seat, Gara immediately knew the Genius Alchemist was him. They hadn’t failed to find him. They had found him and were now attempting to meet him in this overly dramatic way.
"This Genius Alchemist is someone who kept his identity hidden, never chased for popularity, solely focusing on making the greater pill. He is..."
The students could feel a metaphorical drumbeat, as their hearts also pounded.
Ambar declared at last, "He is Gara."
