CHAPTER 60: CHAPTER 60: WHEN MORNING BREAKS

He looked up at me, eyes dark and hungry, and whispered, "At your service, Evric."

The sound of his voice almost undid me. Slowly, I freed myself, and he tugged my pants lower, his fingers trembling but sure. I leaned down and pressed a kiss to his forehead. "I’ll go slow," I murmured, "tell me if it’s too much." He nodded, lips parting with a shaky breath.

When he wrapped around me, the heat of him stole the air from my lungs. My hand slid into his hair, guiding him gently, carefully, as I began to move. The wet sound of his lips and the faint hum in his throat vibrated through me, making me groan low.

"Ahh... Baby..." my voice cracked, heavy with pleasure. His eyes flicked up, glistening, as if he wanted to watch me unravel. The sight alone nearly broke my control. Each glide sent shocks racing through my body, and each muffled sound from him made my grip tighten in his hair.

The room filled with the mix of my ragged breathing, the soft slurp of his mouth working me, and the quiet hum of need vibrating between us. I couldn’t hold back the curses spilling from my lips, nor the way my hips began to move faster, chasing the heat and the sweetness only he could give.

"God... Yes, right there... Zayn, you... so damn good."

His fingers dug lightly into my thighs, encouraging me, urging me to lose myself completely.

His eyes watered, but he didn’t pull away. Instead, he pressed forward, swallowing more of me, making my legs tremble. "Shit... just like that, baby... yeah, fuck."

I tugged his head gently, guiding his pace, and the sounds of him choking slightly, then humming low around me, drove me insane. Every gagged gasp, every obscene wet sound only made me push harder.

"You love this, don’t you?" I groaned, breath ragged. "My cock filling his mouth, using you like this." His nails dug into my thighs, and that was answer enough.

My rhythm grew rougher, the slick, messy sounds of his mouth stretching louder. His throat tightened around me and I almost lost it right there.

"Ahhh—fuck—Zayn, I’m close—" I panted, hips jerking faster, chasing the edge. His moan vibrated through me, and that was it. I couldn’t hold back.

With a shuddering cry, I spilled into his mouth, hot and hard, my whole body tensing as wave after wave crashed through me. He took it, lips sealed around me, swallowing down everything I gave with a soft, needy hum.

I slumped, chest heaving, still tangled in his hair, staring down at him with raw hunger and something deeper. He licked his lips slowly, eyes dark with a mix of pride and desire, I whispered hoarsely to him. "Thank you, baby."

He nodded. "You are welcome"

I smiled, pulling him into my arms, pressing a tender kiss against his lips. My hand wandered instinctively, wanting to give him the same release he gave me, but he caught my wrist, shaking his head with a small smile.

"I’m fine," he whispered. "I just... wanted to satisfy you. That’s enough for me."

I searched his eyes, uncertain. Was he really fine, or just hiding something?

"Are you sure?" I asked quietly.

He nodded, reassuring, but his gaze flickered away. I didn’t press him further. Instead, I kissed his forehead and held him close as we both rose and headed for the bathroom.

The water was warm, washing away the heat of what we had just done, but I noticed it, the way Zayn avoided my eyes. He moved quickly, rinsing himself off, quiet in a way that unsettled me.

When we finally lay down again, the room dim and quiet, I pulled him into my chest. My arms wrapped around him, my voice soft against his hair.

"Is everything okay?" I asked again.

"I’m fine," he repeated, his voice tired but gentle.

"Did I hurt you?" The question came out heavier than I meant, my worry spilling through. I kept asking, circling around the same fear, searching his face for cracks in the calm mask he wore.

But every time, he gave me the same answer. "I’m okay. Just tired."

I kissed the top of his head, though the knot in my chest didn’t ease. Holding him tighter, I let the silence stretch between us, hoping tomorrow he’d open up if something was wrong. For now, I chose to believe him, though my heart refused to stop worrying.

Not long after, his breathing evened out and he drifted into sleep. Watching him so peaceful, I realized he truly had just been tired. Relief softened the tightness in my chest, and a small smile touched my lips.

I pressed a gentle kiss into his hair, the scent of him lingering against me, and wrapped my arms around him a little tighter. With his warmth pressed against mine, my worries finally eased. My eyes grew heavy, and before long, I, too, slipped into sleep, holding him close.

The soft glow of morning filtered through the curtains when the sudden buzz of my phone jolted me awake. I blinked at the screen, careful not to disturb Zayn still sleeping peacefully beside me. The number was unknown. Thinking it might be a client or something important, I answered in a low voice.

"Hello?"

A woman’s voice came through, smooth and confident. "Hello, my sweet boy."

I froze. "Who is this, please?"

She gave a light chuckle, dripping with arrogance. "Sweet boy, this is the one and only Vanya Martixus speaking. Evrics Draeven, you need to be here in three hours. I’ll be waiting for you at my office."

My brows knitted, pulse quickening. "What are you talking about?"

Her tone shifted, firmer, impatient. "Didn’t you check the file with you? Check your email, man."

And just like that, she ended the call, leaving me staring at the phone in silence.

I dialed Rogan’s number immediately. Thankfully, he picked up on the first ring.

"Dad," I said, voice tight. "Who the hell did you just join me to work with?"

There was a pause before his calm, knowing voice replied, "Vanya? I guess she’s already called you."

I clenched my jaw, forcing a smile that felt more like a growl. "You made me work with her? Of all people? Even if I have to travel, I’ll be stuck with her?"

"Yes," Rogan said firmly, no room for argument in his tone. "Until every assignment in the file with you is sorted out, you will work with her, everywhere you go."

The words sliced through me. I wanted to scream, to shout, to throw the phone across the room. But Zayn was right there beside me, his breathing soft and steady. I swallowed down the rage, pressing my palm to my forehead as if it could hold back the explosion inside me.

The mattress shifted lightly. Zayn stirred, turning to face me with half-lidded eyes.

"Is everything okay?" he asked, voice husky from sleep, concern flickering in his gaze.
