[BL] Seducing Male Leads To Survive As A Villain In A Novel
Chapter 238: The Dots
CHAPTER 238: 238: THE DOTS
It was a wild guess. But it sent chills down Eden’s spine. And it was as though it echoed some reality.
"But..." Lenny said, "it’s strange because the grand priest of Elzager is known for his righteous acts. He’s sacred and only walks in the light. So how is he connected to the darkness? Especially something as dark as sorcery?"
Lenny continued, "If the king called him, then it means he might have some connection to sorcery? Because it doesn’t look like an exorcism scheme. That’d be naive."
"A plot twist," Eden said. "We’ll have to find out soon, I guess."
Eden bit his lower lip. "And that brat.. Felix. I think he also knows something, at least."
"Most certainly," Lenny said. "For the fact that the priest knows him, he’s most certainly related to the bigger picture here."
"I’ll have to find him to tell me what he knows," Eden said.
"And he also relates to your power triggering temporarily..." Lenny pointed out.
"That’s true. Why is he the one who could trigger my power? I think it has something to do with all these," Eden nodded. "I really need to figure out all these. Maybe that will hold an answer to me leaving here," He explained.
"Most probably," Lenny shrugged. "Find out who they are. How they’re related to the wizard of EL. And then you’ll probably be a step towards the truth and set to go home."
Eden nodded. "It might not be that easy.. but I suppose I should begin working towards that."
"It shouldn’t be that hard. You might actually get a clue at the wedding," Lenny explained.
Eden stared at him, confused. "Huh?"
"I think something is wrong with the original plot already, so you might be mysteriously assassinated at the upcoming event by someone other than the male leads," Lenny spoke casually while eating.
"....." Eden was shocked.
"What the hell are you talking about?" Eden demanded.
Lenny stopped eating. "Well. It’s pretty clear. Someone wants to murder you at this upcoming engagement. And it’s not any of the male leads," Lenny added. "But I think at this point we know who this person already is."
Eden blinked. He was already getting tired of everyone wanting to kill him every chance they got. And now they were also going to attempt doing that at a wedding ceremony?
He fell on his back on the bed. "At this point, someone got me out of this dumb novel already! I’m tired!"
Lenny shook his head. "The struggle. It’s not that easy but since you already know it’s going to be that priest, you should get prepared."
Eden sat up. "I should be ready then."
He added, "Because it already seems like I don’t have to ruin the stupid wedding. It’s going to end up in chaos. I’ll try being assassinated and I’ll use that opportunity and see what I can find out about that priest. Ending the wedding and getting some clues. Killing two birds with one stone."
Lenny nodded while eating. "That’s good planning. Keep up the good work. I’ll always be behind you."

Ever since Lysander came back to the palace, he had been under strict monitoring by his mother.
She locked him in his room most of the time while having him study books that would help him become a good leader.
He always had endless guards keep an eye on him so he doesn’t escape. And most especially made sure he never had any means of meeting up with Eden or whatsoever.
But now she had summoned him herself. She informed the maids to let him know that his mother was in trouble and he should come immediately.
And he did come.
As soon as he heard that his mother was in danger, Lysander left all he was doing and followed the maid out.
They arrived at Queen Lea’s chamber and the maid led him inside and closed the door. Lysander stared at his mother who sat there on the bed, quiet. Her expression almost lifeless.
He walked up to her. "Mum, what’s wrong with you? What happened? Are you okay? Are you hurt somewhere?"
She sat there for a while without saying anything. Watching as her son checked up on her for a while. She had already washed up so the tea wasn’t all over her anymore.
"You said you were in danger, what’s wrong? What happened?" Lysander stared at his mother. "Did something happen to you?"
Queen Lea slowly stared at him for a while. Quiet. She didn’t say anything for some time, and when she did speak, she said, "Lysander, you are my son, right? My one and only son. My only pride. You’d do anything for me. Right?"
Lysander was confused but said nevertheless, "Yes, mum. I’m your one and only son. What’s with? Why are you sounding like that? What happened?"
Queen Lea held onto his hands tightly. "Then you’ll have to side with me. You’ll have to bring justice for me. You’ll have to do what I say and stand with me against my enemy. You’d do that, right?"
Lysander was even more confused. "What happened, mum? Why are you saying that? What happened?"
Queen Lea hesitated. She took a deep breath and exhaled. And then she scoffed. "I didn’t want to stoop this low at all. I didn’t want to get this petty but the Wizard of EL is really getting out of hand. And he needs to be stopped."
Lysander was quiet.
Queen Lea continued, "He has disrespected me in all possible ways. He has done everything possible to walk down on me and disgrace my stand as the Queen of this kingdom. He doesn’t even consider me anything! And if nothing is done, he’ll walk all over me. And worse, he might cast me out of my throne."
Queen Lea stared at her son. "I can’t let that happen, son. And you too can’t let that happen, right?" she stared desperately at her son who was already skeptical about the request his mother was bringing to him.
