[BL] Seducing Male Leads To Survive As A Villain In A Novel
Chapter 247: The Banquet Day
CHAPTER 247: 247: THE BANQUET DAY
Prince Lysander’s butler brought Eden his attire for the engagement on Lysander’s commands. He dropped it off and then left.
Eden was soon dressed in the attire after taking his bath and getting ready. He stared at himself in the full-length mirror while Felix sat on the bed behind him.
"You look like you’re the one getting engaged," Felix commented.
Eden ran a hand through his hair, admiring the extravagant attire. He smiled. "I know, I always look this pretty in pretty things. I can’t help it."
He admired himself in the mirror for a while as he asked, "Are you sure you’re not coming to the engagement?" He stared at Felix through the reflection.
Felix had his arms folded. "I’m okay. I’ll just be here waiting for you to be back."
Eden stared at him for a while and then shrugged. "Okay then. If you say so, I guess." He wanted to have Felix there as well because he was sure the priest would be there too.
Felix being there would certainly create some awkward moments for the priest. And it might help him get some information on their relationship somehow and could potentially help him distract the priest, who would try harming him.
But Eden stared at his arms. A purple light flickered over his palms as he said, "I guess I’ll get to fend for myself then." He already had his powers activated temporarily. It was basically what he needed for now, at least.

Felix and Eden were in the room for a while before a knock came. Lysander soon walked in, also dressed in red.
It was a couple outfit for Eden and Lysander. And Felix couldn’t help but raise his brows at the sight of it. "What’s this?"
Lysander’s smile faded at the sight of Felix sitting there on the bed. He stared at Eden and put on another smile. "Are you ready?"
Eden smiled. "Yes. How do I look?"
"Amazing," Lysander admired.
"That’s good then."
Lysander stared at Felix, who had both arms folded. "Is he coming?"
"Nah, don’t worry. He’s not," Eden said.
Seeing the matching outfit, Felix suddenly wanted to come. But he held himself and said nothing.
Lysander walked up to Eden and ran his fingers through his hair. "Then we should get going; we don’t want to be late, do we?"
Felix rolled his eyes. "Wearing those doesn’t make you special. You look like a crow in it."
Eden and Lysander stared at Felix.
"It still makes me Eden’s number one," Lysander defended. "I don’t know about you, though."
Felix flashed him cold eyes, and Eden knew he wasn’t ready for some bickering from these kids. "We should get going now..." he smiled at Lysander. "Okay?"
Lysander smiled back with a nod. "Sure. Let’s go." Lysander put out his elbow for Eden to put his hand through. Eden hesitated but did so, and the two of them left the chamber.
Felix sat there, arms folded as he watched them leave.
"Poor you," Lenny was suddenly sitting beside Felix. Felix turned in shock, staring at the cat beside him. He blinked.
Lenny added, "You’re probably not part of his choice. You should work harder."
Felix blinked. "And who are you to decide?"
Lenny stared at him and shrugged. "Whatever you say." He disappeared again.

THE BANQUET HALL
THE ENGAGEMENT CEREMONY.
The hall was packed with nobles who had come for the grand engagement ceremony between the Crown Prince and the Imperial Princess.
It was a big event, so no noble would wish to casually miss it.
The hall was filled with these nobles in exquisite attire, roaming the hall in groups or pairs, standing at different corners while enjoying some chats with some drinks.
Soft music drifted through the room, complimenting the exquisite decorations made across the room. The chandelier illuminated rich, pretty lights through the room as soft laughter from the audience solidified the rich atmosphere.
A gathering of the rich.
King Edward stood in the company of Crown Prince Elvis and some nobles. The nobles congratulated them on their feat.
"I know your son was already destined for such greatness. I still can’t believe he’s going to get married to the Imperial family."
"A great blessing indeed. All in all, the gods are in support of the great Royal Family of Valencrest after all."
"Your great wisdom of rulership has won you this feat. Well deserved," one said to King Edward.
King Edward only smiled while accepting the compliments showered on him. He couldn’t help but feel extremely proud.
Elvis, on the other hand, stood there without much expression. His expression was neutral while he stared at the nobles come and go, all congratulating and complimenting him.
He didn’t even bother saying anything but rather nodded to their words.
"...that’s my son, always aiming and achieving high. He always brings pride to me and the kingdom. And what can we do about his good looks? He certainly got it from me," King Edward said while laughing with the nobles.
While they were busy with that, Elvis also looked around. He couldn’t see his mother anywhere.
He couldn’t meet his mother all this while but planned on seeing her at this banquet, but she was nowhere to be seen. Just like in most banquets, it seemed she didn’t attend this one.
Queen Lea was busy having some laughs and chatting with some ladies in the harem at some corner.
The banquet was a really bustling atmosphere. No one knew what people came in and left. But as the Grand Marquis made his way in, most attention was drawn to him.
Most stared in fear, some in contempt, and some in admiration of the red-haired young man who walked into the banquet.
They watched as he elegantly made his way through and walked up to where King Edward and Elvis stood with some nobles.
King Edward couldn’t help but smile and wave at him with a smile as he approached their direction.
