[BL] Seducing Male Leads To Survive As A Villain In A Novel
Chapter 257: The Attack
CHAPTER 257: 257: THE ATTACK
The Great Priest had taken years to obtain the green pearl.
He had spent years traveling all around the world, obtaining ingredients and objects he felt held the answer to what he was looking for. Experimenting with them all and improving on failures.
He had wanted to give up countless times, to look away from everything and pretend it never happened. But he still found himself endlessly going through scrolls in the dark, secretly searching through tales of old and acquiring more knowledge about what he wanted.
And so he pushed on, secretly gathering and experimenting, creating and recreating for years until he got the perfect tool; The Green Pearl.
One he was sure could end what he had previously done. One he was certain could wipe out his mistakes.
He had obtained the pearl but never ventured into making use of it. He had put it aside for a while and ignored all that was happening with the wizard of EL.
But having been summoned directly and his past threatened to be exposed, he knew he had to put his invention to use. And bring an end to The wizard of EL for good this time...

The pearl faded into the priest’s fingers, beaming with green light through his hands as he stared at Eden. He took his time playing with the light in his fingers, intensifying its strength before he finally struck with it.
The priest then positioned his finger towards Eden, the green light flying towards him. And before long, it arrived at Eden, just at his back.
Eden was still dancing with Elvis, unaware of what was happening. But he immediately felt something sharp behind him. It felt as though energy had just dispersed from him.
The purple energy from him had clashed with the green energy sent by the priest. And the clash had sent a wave of energy dispersing through the hall.
Everyone felt it, a wave of energy blasting through the air, sending effects to people through the atmosphere.
Everyone stopped dancing and most people began going down on their knees. The ladies grew weak from the sudden rush of waves that had them dizzy. They staggered while struggling to catch themselves.
Most people didn’t fall, but still felt dizzy. They held onto themselves or something to prevent themselves from falling.
"What was that..." Some questioned, looking around as the lights came back. They were confused as to what happened.
Eden stood there alone as Elvis went down on his knees too. The wave was heavier on him since he was closer to Eden and he felt extremely dizzy.
Eden gasped. He felt it, and he didn’t need anyone to tell him what it was. He immediately turned to stare at The Priest, who had slowly approached, but still at a distance.
Now the audience knew who to look at; Eden. He was the only wizard in the room, the only magical being. And so they could tell he had a hand in this.
Immediately, they began staggering backwards, keeping their distance from Eden and whatever game he was playing.
Eden stared at the priest, who had a cold expression on now.
"You’re still standing," The Priest said. "I guess I didn’t use it well."
And he came again, sending another wave of green light that flashed through his fingers and straight to Eden.
But Eden defended himself. He raised his hands and used the purple light emitted from his palms to counterattack the green light.
They clashed again, and its wave dispersed through the room. Everyone felt the effect and staggered yet again.
Eden too staggered. The power was too strong. Even though he defended himself with his powers, the effect still rang within him. And so he knew this Priest was more powerful than he thought.
They stared at each other again. And without any words, the priest attacked back-to-back, using both hands to cast green waves towards Eden, sending a total of six. But Eden counterattacked.
Eden found himself struggling to keep his stand while using his powers to shield off the attack, blowing waves through the air and affecting everyone in the room.
Soon, almost everyone was on their knees, recovering from the waves that messed with their heads.
The priest glared at Eden. "Just as I thought, you didn’t take the poison. Your powers are still within you. Intact," he observed.
Eden stared at him. "What poison?" He didn’t seem to know.
The priest scoffed. "Or rather, he didn’t give you the poison. I should have known some people are just unreliable. Thank goodness I didn’t rely too much on anyone for today."
Queen Lea gasped as she listened. She stared at her son, who was standing at a corner of the room and watching.
"That brat..." she cursed beneath her breath, having realised that Lysander didn’t poison Eden as promised.
But there was nothing else she could do about it.
Eden watched as the priest played with his fingers again, summoning another wave of green light around his fingers.
Eden scoffed. "Even if you poisoned me, do you think that it’s going to work? You think a common poison would end me? Naive."
"Then you should have received the poison then. I’m sure you wouldn’t even be standing after the first blow if you did," The Priest said as he cast another wave at Eden.
Eden dodged it, but the priest sent another almost immediately. He caught it with his palms, struggled to extinguish its flames, but ended up being blasted backwards by it.
It hit Eden on the chest and sent him staggering backwards till he fell down on his back. Eden felt a sharp pain on his chest from the blow, but knew he had to get up immediately.
And he did.
Eden instantly got up to his feet and stared at the priest, who was now approaching slowly.
"You shouldn’t stress too much," The Priest said. "This is not something you can easily fight against. Not especially in your weak state of powers."
