CHAPTER 261: 261: OUT OF THE WAY.

The great priest of Elzager turned. He stared at Eden, who was slowly getting up to his feet.

He staggered while the priest scoffed. The priest raised a finger towards Eden, and a green wave surrounded him. The green wave pulled Eden down to his knees, preventing him from even getting up.

"Ah..." Eden struggled to move, but it was as though all his body had been frozen. He knelt there, his whole body gradually hurting from his position.

The priest smiled, watching as the green wave kept Eden down while hurting him within. He watched as Eden struggled in pain.

"Let me go....." Eden muttered, on his knees. He could feel the pain rushing through his veins and his bones. As though the priest was crushing him within, using his powers.

"He’s trying to seal your powers while rendering you weak," Lenny muttered. "If he continues, he might actually end up cutting off your core."

Eden gasped in pain. He shut his eyes while struggling with the pain. His veins had popped and his eyes grew purple when he opened them.

"He’s too powerful..." Eden said to Lenny. "Why is he that powerful.. why can’t I even touch him...or harm him..." He didn’t understand.

The priest smiled as he stared at Eden. "I should have ended you as soon as it all started..." he said. "I shouldn’t have hesitated..."

He slowly walked up to Eden. His fingers pointing at Eden as the green wave hovered around him. He watched him in pain, watching as he slowly lost himself in the pain.

"No...." Lysander struggled to set himself free from the guards, but they held him tightly. "Let me go!" He snapped.

"Eden! No! Get your filthy hands off him!" Lysander yelled. "Let him go!"

Adrian and Elvis were rolling on the ground in pain; they found it hard to get up considering how hurt they were. But they still wanted to get up and save Eden.

Leo stared. He held the glass of wine in his hand as he stared at Eden in pain. He had thoughts running through his mind, thoughts on how to save Eden.

But before he could even think further, the wave shattered.

A loud burst erupted which brushed the waves to the side, pushing everyone aside. Leo covered his face with his arms while holding himself from sliding off.

And when the wave stopped, Leo looked up to see someone standing in-between Eden and the priest. Someone he didn’t really know.

"Felix..." The priest muttered in shock at the sight of Felix standing in front of him. "What.. what are you doing here...?"

Felix turned and stared at Eden, who was on the floor again now, clearly weak. And then he turned to the priest. "Don’t touch him..."

The priest gasped. "Don’t tell me you’re here to save him..? That bastard..?"

"He’s my master. And I won’t let you harm him. So just leave now..." Felix said firmly, his eyes on the priest.

"You.." the priest was speechless. "You must have finally lost it these past years while you ran off into the world. How can you be taking the side of the wizard of EL? Don’t you even know who he is?"

Felix had his stoic expression on, staring at the priest. "I know who he is, but I won’t let you harm him. Not under my watch. Because I’m here to save him and take him back safely."

The priest simply stared, speechless. He couldn’t believe what was happening right now.

Lysander had finally broken free from the guards when the last wave blew. He had run towards Eden, who was on the floor, and knelt before him.

Lysander held Eden on his lap while he ran a hand through his pale face. "Are you okay? Can you hear me...? Are you okay...?"

But Eden didn’t say anything, even though he was still awake. He casually panted, catching his breath and strength at least.

Lysander still held him. "I’m so sorry.. I’m sorry for this.." He muttered to Eden. "It’s all my mum’s doing.. she brought this upon you..I couldn’t stop it even though I tried... I’m sorry."

He didn’t give Eden the poison. All the times when his mother had given him the poison to feed Eden in one way or another, he didn’t give it to Eden at all.

He had switched it immediately and discarded the old one. It was a risky and hard task since his mother’s men were always keeping an eye on him to make sure he did it.

But he always managed to maneuver their eyes and did what he wanted. And so all he gave Eden was safe.

".. I still couldn’t save you.. I’m sorry..." Lysander lamented while holding onto Eden. But Eden smiled.

He cupped Lysander’s cheeks in his palms while he managed to smile. He could tell that Lysander was the one they had tried using for the poison. And as expected, Lysander didn’t go through with it.

"Thanks.." He managed to say. "Thanks for protecting me. It means a lot..."

Lysander held his hand, which was on his cheeks. "Don’t worry, I won’t let anyone harm you.. I won’t.. "

"You brat! Get out of my view now!" The priest snapped.

"I won’t. If you want to harm him, you’ll have to kill me first," Felix stood his ground.

The priest scoffed. "You useless brat... Is this what you’ve become after all I did for you? Huh??"

Eden now stared at the two; Felix and the priest. Everyone was listening to their conversation, even Eden. And at that moment, Eden couldn’t help but see that the two of them were somewhat related. They spoke as though they knew each other.

And so he was curious to see how they did.

Felix scoffed. "All you’ve done for me?" He laughed. "What have you ever done for me? All you’ve ever done is for your prestigious name. It was never for me. So don’t even act as though you care about me."

"I’m your father, of course I care for you!" The priest.
