CHAPTER 5: NAME

Then the next thing he saw was a giant ball of energy above, lit with an ethereal glow, pulsating with the rhythmatic beat of his heart, lighting the whole soul sea with an otherworldly warmth that he couldn’t describe.

The calm even still azure water reflecting his visage.

The sky above was bathed in an eternal twilight, at the epicenter that large ball of energy pulsed with an ethereal luminesce glowing even burning like a true sun.

The sheer amount of energy he felt in that it when he peered at it left him paralysed! Even Spellbound. His heart beating against his chest erratically, although he didn’t have a real heart in his ethereal body standing in his soul sea the felling was quiet similar.

*ba-dumb* *ba-dumb*

*ba-dumb* *ba-dumb*

After 1 minute his emotions finally calmed down. Taking a deep breath to also calm his beating heart.

*Inhale... * *exhale... *

After taking another minute to compose himself and his beating beating heart, he finally looked towards the only other thing in his immeasurable soul sea!.

It was another ball of energy though small in size. Furthermore it was made after the crystallization of magical energy though it was in a liquid state, It moved, wiggled and even shifting like it had a life of it’s own.

Even so, As for what it was, for now even he didn’t know. Although it was so far away but he could still see it clearly it felt both distant, out of his hands reach and close, just within his hands reach. A weard feeling indeed!.

After a thought he nodded and decided to walk up to it.

Then he took his first step towards the small ball of crystallized magical energy in the distance. As his first step landed on the calm water surface initially he didn’t notice anything unusual however after a few more steps when he looked down he finally realized that the still reflective water he walked on didn’t ripple by his action, it simply remained still and tranquil as though forever frozen in a state of statis.

Hence making him both fascinated and intrigued by the new even unique experience.

Then he shifted his attention towards his soul sea again regarding it with the same intrigued and fascinated expression all the while continuing his walk towards his destination, "So this is my soul sea! Uh?" He uttered with an absent minded expression.

He was left stunned even lost by the otherworldly experience...

Stunned by the majesty of his soul sea and lost by just how expensive and grand his soul sea was, ’Are all soul sea’s this massive’ he thought lost in the illusive scenery.

Nevertheless, he still continued walking towards the small ball of crystallized magical energy however then he heard the irritating voice again, breaking him out of his reverie.

"It is your soul sea, you can just teleport there with a thought.. haha... " ’It’ chuckled, his words tinged with a mocking tone.

He looked towards the source of the irritating voice and with a thought he was in front of it.

When He teleported the first thing he saw was the small white ball.

This time he observed it more closely, It was 2 meter in diameter hovering a meter above the calm and still reflective water surface.

Which again remained stasis even after he supposed teleportation, still without any ripples.

Meanwhile after observing small white ball of energy for the 10 seconds with his undivided attention.

He finally looked at him...

There in front of that white ball of energy stood ’It’ looking exactly the same as him.

Its face! Its hair! Its body, everything was a copy of him. One could even say it was his long lost twin. But no even twins don’t look this much alike, it would be more accurate to say it was something akin to his doppelgänger.

They started and observed each other in scrutiny.

Nonetheless after some time the other him finally broke the long silence.

"How do you feel entering you own soul for the first time!?" It question, a knowing smirk playing across his lips.

Even so he just ignored the smirk and examined him without replying for a whole minute.

Then finally he decided to answer, he opened his mouth, "I don’t know.. I guess.. you can say I’m.. overwhelmed! I don’t know how.. Uh.. I can describe what I’m felling!." He responded while again glancing at his soul sea. Trying to find the right words to describe his emotions properly. Even so couldn’t!.

"So.. " He began, "Why don’t- " However before he could continue...

"First thing first — You should name yourself! Its so confusing talking to you like this!." ’It’ intrupted him again with a wave of his hand. His face serious as though a ’no’ would trigger ragnarock itself.

Upon seeing his unique expression, he questioned, "So, you want me to name myself" his voice tinged with curiosity. Looking him straight in the eye.

"Yes!! "

"Alright, we’ll start with that then!." He responded.

Hence, he tried to think of a good name for himself, while ’It’ scrutinized him with an unreadable expression on its face in the tranquil stillness of his soul sea.

Only the rhythmic pulse of the giant ball of energy above could be heard!.

He came up with many unique or weird name but none were to his liking.

’As they say ’Name’s’ have power. So I can’t choose a random name as it can very well define my very existence in the future.’ He thought. His face solemn.

Which was quiet comical when one think about it, he had such an expression when thinking a name for himself.

After good 10 minutes of thinking and mulling over his thoughts, he finally came up with a good name that was to his liking.

It was a name that matched the dark and eerie place he was born in.

The Darkness, it was the only thing that gave him a semblance of warmth on the uneven cold surface of the earth. It was the only thing that embraced him on the silent cave giving him a sence of peace and belonging.

It was a name that would remind him of his humble origin — ’The Small Cave!’.

"Black! " He mumbled "That’s a good name!." He said aloud and asked It, "What do you think?"

"Black! " It repeated, "I think it’s good! It even matches with the place of our origin!" It added with a nod of his head like giving him his approval as the ’wise’ man.

"Uh.. Umm.. For someone like you to think of such a good name! I’m impressed" It prasad. With a sarcastic tone.

As though mocking Black as someone stupid forgetting the fact that both of them were the same beings.
