Black Quantiarch: The Progenitor's Odyssey
Chapter 50: "She is not yours."
CHAPTER 50: "SHE IS NOT YOURS."
Although Black wanted to ask her what was Octagram or why did she have to take them there however he couldn’t even open his mouth let alone utter a single word.
Then suddenly his vision blurred, then it turned all dark, where it felt like he couldn’t even tell what was up or down or left or right properly.
Then just as suddenly a bright light assaulted his eyes causing them to abruptly shut up. "Ugh.. "
He fell to the ground on his knees followed by zephyr because of the disorientation caused by the sudden teleportation.
Furthermore since it was both Black and Zephyr’s first time experiencing teleportation the side effects were even grater that they nearly felt like puking the poisenous fruits that they had eaten previously below the massive vertical cliff in the poisenous forest.
Additionally the sun rays and the bright light was also something they had never felt before since all of their time was spent in the dim luminesce of the dark caverns while roaming it, causing their earlier discomfort and the sudden pain that unexpectedly assaulted their eyes because of the sun ray’s.
And the heat of the sun ray’s themselves further contributed as to why they suddenly felt so uncomfortable physically too.
Nonetheless just within 10 seconds both of them quickly composed themselves and got up looking as though nothing had happened because of their higher level and their unique identities.
While rubbing his head, "what was that.. ughh.. it hurts damn it?" He mumbled.
While zephyr just had a wronged expression on her face as though saying she felt betrayed.
Evelynn observed them with an amused expression, "Well this is what happens when the kids living in the cave’s see light for the first time." She uttered.
"Anyways don’t worry about it to much since it was a first time thing, therefore it won’t happen again. I guess." She reassured them just to be safe well more like she didn’t wanted to hear Black’s pointless questions again.
Meanwhile..
"Wow!! " Zephyr uttered in amazement.
Black also finally observed just where were they getting out of his earlier discomfort.
They stood on a plane grassy field near a steep mountain slope. Looking beyond the cliff. They saw the towering massive trees with dark green leaves stretching for as far as the eyes could see like a vibrant emerald ocean rising into the sky.
And even with their strong eyesights they weren’t able to see the end of the forest as though an endless green ocean stretching out before them.
Welling a feeling of awe and wonder to rise up within their heart because of the vastness and the majesty of the forest.
’Beautiful’ was the only thought echoing in both of theirs minds.
"So these are The Hollow Woods.. Huh!." Black blinked.
"Yes, they are! Impressive aren’t they!" She question.
Then shifting her attention towards The Hallow Woods she continued,
"Although the younger ones aren’t more then 1000 meters tall and also don’t have that thick of roots underground. The older one can reach upto tens of thousands of meters tall, furthermore there roots are so thick and long that one couldn’t even describe them, reaching till the ground layers."
"Additionally the older ones aren’t usually found in the outer regions of The Hallow Woods, Urr.. more like you can find them anywhere, sometimes in the outer region, sometimes in the middle. Although most of them are in the core region. But because of there old age its really possible to find them in the middle of nowhere." She gave them a long speech about The Hollow Woods though she only gave them a brief descriptions and nothing else since they didn’t have that much time to talk about it anyway.
Meanwhile both Black and Zephyr just kept nodded marveling at the sight of the wondrous forest. While not forgetting to silently absorbe the knowledge too.
"Let’s go, we are going at your place." She said turning around.
"Our place?" Black asked, puzzled.
She just sighed inwardly looking at him. She just couldn’t wait for their training to start anymore. However they still have to do those important things first.
"Yes they’ve already been prepared long ago and it wasn’t that hard to began with. Elytheria would never let you both stay like some roadside beggars.. Uh.. considering your identities. Understand!."
Black nodded as they walked through the grassy plain which too stretched into the horizon without anything in sight. Well if one doesn’t include the odd number of trees visible. Though they weren’t that many and each one had atleast thousands of meters of distance between them.
Then they weren’t that tall either. Maybe used as a shade to protect oneself from the heat of the sun light.
Apparently they were on top of a massive flat plateau jutting out from the earth like a giant flat table put on Elytheria. With a diameter of thousands of kilometers. That’s just how large it was like a giant mountain severed from the middle.
"Umm! Master just who is this Elytheria person you keep talking about?"
Evelynn turned towards Zephyr and with a charming smile answered, "Well! My little serpent, Elytheria, is The World Spirit of this World Elytheria. Although most people address her with more respectful, dignified even novel names or titles, I simply call her Elytheria since I’m not good at.. Uh.. with those fancy titles."
"She is not yours." Abruptly Black’s Voice boomed. Even he didn’t know why but he didn’t like it one bit when she addressed Zephyr as My little serpent. No — For some reason he didn’t even like it when she addressed her as ’little serpent’. He thought that only he had the right to call her that and no one! absolutely no one can address her like that.
"..." Evelynn and Zephyr blinked.
Even Black didn’t know why he felt that way, even so he just shook his head to get his mind straight and turned towards Evelynn and Zephyr...
"Uh.. sorry about that I.. En.. don’t know what came over me". Black apologized upon seeing their confused faces.
Then he quickly asked her another question, indicating to not continue the previous conversation...
"Why is that! Why do you get to call her by her name while others don’t!." Black uttered intrigued by the matter.
Though Evelynn had a rough idea about why he suddenly behaved like that, she still didn’t call him out for that, ’Interesting! It’s getting more fun with every passing second spent with this Progenitor. Oh! How Interesting. Hehe" She thought, her dark amethyst eyes sparkled with a hidden mischief.
Nonetheless she answered,
"Well, Isn’t it obvious! Your Master is naturally very strong! And only the stronger people gets the privilege to address the World Spirit of their World by there very Name! Boy! Understand that — Only Strong People." She finished with a wide grin, bragging. Even repeating the last part putting more emphasis on it.
"Tsk.. "
"So where is that home of ours! Oh My Very Strong Master! Since I can only see grass and tree here" Black uttered, his tone sarcastic.
"Yeah, you are right at this rate we would never reach our destination." At the same time her right hand moved forward.
"Ugh.. Not again.. " Black.
And with a snap of her fingers all three of them — Black, Zephyr and Evelynn — Vanished.
*snap*
