Blood Awakening: The Strongest Hybrid and His Vampire Bride
Chapter 467: The Jealous Vampire Follows
CHAPTER 467: THE JEALOUS VAMPIRE FOLLOWS
Ever since Nikola returned from his trip, Anya found the atmosphere stifling. To change this feeling, she sat in the corner with her phone. If I wore this, would Nikolai look at me? She browsed various clothing websites, looking at sexy outfits.
"No."
Anya shook her head while glancing at the door. Tonight, Nikolai would fight again. Although she knew he wouldn’t lose, she wanted to support him, and each time he came home, she noticed more and more bruises. Yet he never complained.
Leona won’t be leaving with him tonight, at least.
The competition between Leona and Anya didn’t cause trouble, thanks to Leona’s gentle nature. Despite this, Anya hated listening to their copulation each night. If she could stop her complex feelings, she would.
However, it was impossible.
He’s even fucked that damn fairy now!
She tried her best to improve from the moment he saved her life. Anya saw Nikolai as someone special and became envious of her sisters and the women around him. Although she became his lover... Anya wanted more.
"I should get going soon, or I’ll miss it..."
With the flick of her wrist, the deep red gloss spread across her thick lips. With a smack, she peered into her camera with a smile and a wink.
Tanned skin, thick red lips and wavy blonde hair and her blue and red eyes.
Anya looked like a young model.
Leona, Ryan and Clara remained in their rooms, giving her the chance to sneak out. She grabbed her coat and rushed out the door, wearing a tight black strapless dress and high heels, which tapped the ground with each step.
***
To her surprise, it didn’t take long to reach the club; the ober driver seemed familiar with the place as his doors opened. Anya rushed out. "Thanks for the ride." The voice of the driver failed to reach her ears thanks to the loud music booming from the club entrance.
"Hmm, so this is where he is?"
Dirty, like always.
Of course, as the daughter of the Tepes family and one of the many heiresses to the Scarlet Group, she carried various VIP cards, and it just so happened. Even in this small country, they recognised the power of even enemy families.
"Young lady, where is your invite?" A huge bouncer asked with a condescending tone.
"Here."
The moment the black card with golden text appeared, the two bodyguards looked strange, their foreheads dripping with sweat as they bowed several times. "Lady Tepes, we will prepare you with the reserved VIP seat!"
"Good. Guide me there."
She didn’t act reserved like Nikolai, or hold back in the same fashion her sisters might. Anya enjoyed the luxury feeling and embraced it. In fact, one might say, she was the only one of the group who acted like a true supernatural.
"Yes, Ma’am!"
Anya’s eyes flicked around the entrance as she stepped inside; the stairs leading down carried the thick stench of oil and rusted iron. Her vampiric instincts grew with each step as if seeking Nikolai’s blood.
"To have the lay of the Fabled Tepes clan coming to our small arena, it’s quite the honour."
"..."
An attendant led her with a nervous smile, his eyes constantly looking at her as if to gauge her responses.
Walls covered in damp, metal link fences and the dense scent of blood, hundreds, maybe thousands of different types and yet Anya could smell his. Nikolai’s blood clearly, his blood lingered with a devilishly sweet and seductive whisper.
Along the hallway leading to the VIP booth used by the most respected clients, her heels tapped the ground as she closed her eyes, guided by his blood.
Nikolai had been here.
The scent of his blood changed her mood. Anya’s veins throbbed, her fangs descended, desperately hungry to taste him again.
Suddenly, she stopped beside a door.
"This room, who has used it?"
"Ah, this room is one of the exclusive rooms used by the Arena champion. Black Bear."
"Hmmm, so it’s not open now?"
"Forgive me, Lady."
"No, it’s fine, carry on."
Her voice twisted into a hum as she could only give up on using the room that carried the scent of Nikolai. Instead, she took a deep breath; the blood of Nikolai, no matter where she smelled it, felt like a treat.
Idiot...
Why is he bleeding everywhere?
The young vampire princess passed several familiar faces on the way to her private room, which made her a little nervous. To see people who normally lived in S-City and never left the country, suddenly in Londis at the same time as her felt strange.
"Lady Tepes, this is the booth your family has paid to reserve."
A grand black door, the panel at the door inscribed with "Tepes", something she thought silly for a small Arena to have, but they also copied the Nexus style perfectly. Anya realised this place wasn’t small but created to look small and insignificant.
"Quite an impressive arena, you’ve put a lot of effort into this place."
"Hah!?" The guide looked a little shocked, but also proud.
Another member of the Silver Clan, a mere outside branch because of his low-level blood, yet to hear someone from a royal clan compliment a building his great-grandfather helped build meant a great deal to him.
"T-Thank you, Lady Tepes."
Snap!
With the snap of his fingertips, two females stepped forward holding elegant bottles of wine, as the doors hissed and the mechanical parts whirred as they opened. Anya stepped inside and found it beautiful, three leather sofas, a deep oak table with dark walls and light blue neon LEDs lighting the room.
"This is quite impressive."
Anya sat on the largest sofa, ignoring the women who placed the bottles of wine in ice coolers and poured her a glass. Instead, she watched the massive 3D screen that fused with the window, showing the arena as if she hovered right above it.
"My Lady, are there any fighters you wish to place a bet on tonight?"
Ever since they arrived, the servant showed a more genuine attitude. He then took the pad from the table and swiped across, showing Anya how to make a bet and explaining the essence of "Earning fruit" at the arena.
Unlike Nikolai and the frugal Leona, Anya’s bank account was international and charged nothing for using foreign currency.
"This is how you place the bet and withdraw your winnings, My Lady."
"I see, thank you for the help, Davis."
Anya flicked her hair away, and with such a simple gesture, the servants left the room and left her to watch the screen. Her eyes focused on the betting slip for Nikolai against some strange old man who reminded her of Sebastian.
"You are fighting here for fun... Is it so fun for you, Nikolai?"
She couldn’t quite understand why Nikolai wanted to fight, but also wished to support him and thus made a huge bet on his victory. The numbers wouldn’t give her a massive gain, only tripling her bet.
However, that was enough for her.
From the moment she was born, Anya struggled to compete with her sisters because of how special and talented they were.
It wasn’t until she met Nikolai that her life changed, and instead of being a mere spoiled child, Anya became an equal in status to Lunaria and Selene.
"Thinking about it now... isn’t everything I have, thanks to you?" Her eyes looked at Nikolai’s rugged and sexy promotional picture. "If I never met you, wouldn’t I still be doomed to die, unable to awaken any bloodline..."
With the snap of her fingertips, a sphere of blood appeared, then with the simple thought of wanting heat, it became a bloody flame warming the room. "This power..." Her eyes narrowed, and with a shimmer, it became an orb of pure purple ice.
"How do I confess to you, without sounding like a child?"
Anya struggled to tell Nikolai with her words... and used her body like a fool. However, that didn’t mean her feelings were inferior to her sisters. Nikolai was special to Anya. He was a hero, a guide and the first man to bring light into her dark life.
"He’s coming..."
The announcer called out his name, and Nikolai stepped into the arena, nothing like the passionate and loving man who pushed her down, or flirted with Leona and obsessed over Clara... Anya watched him while gripping her glass tightly.
Fierce, with a violent aura that made the air crackle like lightning.
This side of Nikolai was something Anya hadn’t seen before... she struggled to breathe for a moment at how excited she became inside a storm erupted as her blood pumped faster and faster to her second heart.
The sound of two hearts pounding echoed in her ears, as blood dripped from her nose.
"Nikolai..."
She obsessively whispered his name, her body froze in place, dripping with sweat from the strange reaction inside her body.
Then Nikolai’s mouth opened wide, and he howled into the air...
And she...
"!!!!"
Anya’s head snapped back, breathless and unable to breathe as she convulsed in the seat.
Ah...
I am a lost cause.
