Regarding the history of the Elf Clan, the Mireya Continent has always been abound with stories.

However, it is generally recognized by scholars from all sides that the arrival of the elves brought civilization to the wild Mireya, and officially ushered in the era of the gods and the transcendents.

For this reason, on the Mireya Continent, the history of the elves also tends to represent mythology and epic.

This is why Charlotte asked Haral to collect elf manuscripts.

In this still savage age, humans had not yet learned to record history and knowledge, but the elves had this custom.

Although relying on the narratives of Lilith and Haral, Charlotte had come to know about the various events that occurred these years, if she wanted to have a more detailed understanding of this era, she would still need to consult the elf manuscripts.

Last time she crossed over, Charlotte didn't have this opportunity, but this time, it was just right.

Lilith and Haral overthrew the Tower Country and seized a large number of the Elf Clan's books, which included not only the history of the Elf Clan but also some transcendental knowledge of the elves and even information about the deities!

These books were all things that Charlotte was quite interested in and would help her further understand the Mythological Era.

And, as someone who liked to read stories from the beginning, Charlotte naturally placed this "Old Continent Brief History" at the top of her list.

With an expectant mood, Charlotte opened the book in front of her.

As the name suggests, "Old Continent Brief History" narrates the history of the Old Continent, which is different from that of the Mireya Continent.

The Old Continent is located to the west of the Mireya Continent, the homeland of the Elf Clan, said to exist only in legends for humans.

Of course, Charlotte was very clear that it was not a legend but a factual continent.

Although "Old Continent Brief History" is termed a "brief history," it is still quite substantial.

However, Charlotte, who had already become a demigod, also had a soul strength that was vastly different from before.

She could easily remember things at a glance, not even needing any "Strong Memory" type of magic to do so.

Charlotte read ten lines at a glance, quickly skimming through, and soon finished reading the entire book.

Unlike what Charlotte had imagined, this "Old Continent Brief History" carried a mythical color from the very beginning.

The whole book started with the origin of life and wisdom.

The book recounted that a long, long time ago, there was only one continent in this world called Albia, which had no life nor transcendental forces.

Until one day, a strange deity accidentally arrived in this world.

As the deity descended, its powerful force tore the world apart, and from then on the Albia Continent was split into east and west parts.

Seeing the desolation of the whole world, the descending deity felt compassion.

Using its own body to create, its bones turned into mountains, its blood into rivers, its breath into magic power, its vitality into life...

The most essence of its body gathered in the West Continent, giving birth to a world vibrant with life and filled with all kinds of incredible powers.

And its body's most turbid part gathered in the East Continent. While it was also full of life, it was barren, desolate, and chaotic compared to the West Continent, and it evolved all sorts of monsters.

The origin of the elves dates back to that era.

It is said that the first batch of elves was born from the deity's breath, descending on the fertile West Continent, their birth carrying the hopes of the deity for the world.

After that, it was the radiant history of elf civilization.

With wisdom and strength, the Elf Clan established kingdoms on the West Continent, initiating the glorious elf civilization, known as the era of the Elf Kingdoms.

The era of kingdoms lasted for nearly two thousand years.

During that long period, the elf countries gradually integrated through wars and peace, eventually establishing a vast Elf Empire.

The Elf Empire had two emperors, one revered as the Sun Emperor Helios, another revered as the Moonlight Empress Artemis.

Moved by the accomplishments of the two emperors in unifying the continent, the Creator Divine Lord shared their last sliver of strength with them as a reward, and thus the emperors were enthroned as deities.

And with that, the Creator Divine Lord fell into eternal slumber.

The two enthroned Elf Emperors were the Elf Clan's revered Main Gods, Sun God Helios and Moon God Artemis.

From then on, the Elf Clan entered the Mythological Era.

Sun God Helios was an ambitious deity, craving monumental achievements and aspiring to become a god as great as the Creator Divine Lord.

In contrast, Moon God Artemis was gentle in nature and not overly ambitious, wishing only to safeguard the future of the Elf Clan.

The two Elf Main Gods nurtured many sub-gods, who assisted them in governing the continent and pushed the elven civilization to its peak.

However, as time passed, the divergence between the two Main Gods grew.

Sun God Helios, unsatisfied with the status quo, sought to go further and lead the Elf Clan to set foot on the Creator Divine Lord's unfinished Eastern Continent, to annihilate the monsters born of filth and bring the chaotic lands under control.

Conversely, Moon God Artemis hoped that Sun God Helios would abandon the idea of war and maintain peace between the two continents.

Yet, the mild Moon God Artemis ultimately could not prevent the ideas of Sun God Helios, and war eventually broke out.

The war between the two continents lasted for centuries.

On one side were the Elves led by the deities of the West Continent, while on the other were the monsters of the East Continent, who also possessed godlike powers.

The war, fueled by the ambition of Sun God Helios, was devastatingly brutal.

Despite dealing a heavy blow to the monsters of the East Continent, the Elves also suffered severe losses, barely achieving a pyrrhic victory.

To secure the final triumph, Sun God Helios attempted to reach further for the power of creation.

But in the end, he failed.

His failure brought tremendous catastrophe to the West Continent, which was destroyed in a terrifying apocalyptic disaster.

And with that calamity, the Elf Gods perished one after another, leaving only Moon God Artemis and some sub-gods.

The Elves were forced to migrate, leaving the ravaged West Continent behind to set foot on the Eastern Continent and engage in a more enduring war with the surviving monsters...

...

"The Old Continent Brief History" was not exhaustive, with many sections evidently altered or edited.

Especially concerning the catastrophe, many descriptions were vague and evasive.

Furthermore, some accounts conflicted with the history of the Elf Era as Charlotte knew it.

But after browsing through it, Charlotte gained a deeper understanding of the mysterious history of the Elf Clan.

She also hypothesized much about the mythological epics and origins of the Mireya Continent.

"So it turns out... the reason the Elf Clan set foot on the Mireya Continent was not entirely due to migration. Their invasion of Mireya began much, much earlier."

"Those monsters... must refer to the Old Gods of the Mireya Continent."

Charlotte murmured to herself.

She closed "The Old Continent Brief History," planning to examine other texts.

However, as she opened the next book, she was suddenly interrupted by the hurried entrance of Haral.

This typically composed young man had an expression that could not hide his urgency.

"What's wrong? Haral, what has happened?"

Charlotte's heart leaped as she quickly inquired.

"Teacher! Lilith... she's in trouble!"
