Were they... really puppets?

Charlotte's brow furrowed slightly.

Thinking it over, she accessed the Crimson Star Sea within her consciousness, and then realized... the crimson stars symbolizing Alek and Campel had gone out.

Charlotte's frown deepened instantly.

The stars in the Crimson Star Sea represented all those with Bloodline lineage.

The extinguishing of a star meant death.

In other words, Alek and Campel must have fallen.

However, the crystal core Charlotte saw in their "consciousness," as well as their disintegration akin to weathered puppets, made it difficult for her to associate them with the normal demise.

"Their consciousness... it seems to reside within that crystal, and their bodily structure is not quite like the Bloodline as I know it."

"After their death, I couldn't even sense their souls."

"They are also unlike Elves like Sebastian, who at least... Sebastian possesses a Spirit World and a soul power that I can sense."

"Bloodline Elves... could they not belong to the true Bloodline, or even to natural living beings?"

"Having said that, none of the historical records mention the origins of the Nais Clan lineage from Moon God Island. How did they first appear?"

"That crystal just now... it looked very much like some sort of puppet core, could it be... they were artificially created?"

"Whoever managed to destroy them silently within my Spirit World... must be no weaker than me, perhaps even stronger..."

As she recalled everything she had just seen, Charlotte fell into deep thought.

Alek and Campel were definitely not avatars controlled from afar, of this Charlotte was certain, because the expressions on their faces just before "death" were definitely real.

"If that's the case... perhaps these so-called Bloodline Elves harbor some kind of secret."

Charlotte mused to herself.

With this thought, Charlotte delved deeper into the Crimson Star Sea.

Within the Crimson Star Sea, the stars representing the Nais Clan were now distinguishable from the others; the biggest difference being that each star representing the Nais Bloodline was encircled by a crimson halo.

Moreover, compared to other stars with fragile connections, these stars felt closer and even more intricately connected in Charlotte's perception than the points of light from the Dark Night Believers.

However, Charlotte noticed that there were also some stars with auras similar to the Nais Clan that had not established such a connection.

Previously, she had not looked closely, but after some investigation, she found that the ratio of these stars roughly matched the proportion of the Nais Clan in the Falling Star Kingdom and Moon God Island.

In other words, this group, which had not made a connection with her despite the Nais Clan's submission, were all from the Nais Bloodline of Moon God Island.

This caused Charlotte to stir:

"The submission of the Nais Clan... should have activated the Blood Oath of the Bloodline, but the branch from Moon God Island was not bound by it."

"As described in the Blood Holy Scripture, the Blood Contract is a covenant of bloodlines, as well as a recognition of them. When most of the clan members swore the same oath, it would be recognized as a covenant made by the clan."

"Bloodline Elves were not bound by the oath, which means they did not pass the recognition."

"Although the Blood Oath this time was not personally initiated by me, but a result of the voluntary submission of the Nais Clan, it may be slightly lacking in strength, but not being recognized is not being recognized."

"The Bloodline Elves on Moon God Island... they may not truly belong to the Bloodline, let alone the Elves. They are simply entities with Nais Bloodline, 'disguised' as Bloodline 'beings'."

"Considering Alek and Campel's reactions, perhaps... even they aren't aware that they are not real Bloodline."

Looking at the stars that represented the Bloodline Elves of Moon God Island, Charlotte speculated.

Of course, even if the Nais Bloodline on Moon God Island were not true Bloodline, they still possessed Bloodline lineage.

And as long as there was Bloodline lineage, they could be forcibly summoned by Charlotte's Blood Summon to the Dark Night Ancient Castle.

However, Charlotte chose not to act.

Most Bloodline Elves were on Moon God Island, too far away and guarded by the mythic-level protective spells of the Island.

Even for her, bypassing the protection and performing a Blood Summon would not be easy.

Besides, from another perspective, not long after Alek and Campel were brought into the Dark Night Ancient Castle, they turned to ashes. Should she expend great effort to bring another one inside, the result might be much the same.

They might not even realize that they are not true Bloodline.

With these thoughts, Charlotte fell into contemplation once more.

Considering the changes in the status of the Moon God Island's Nais Bloodline within the Nais Clan over the years, as well as Bloodline Elf Alek's actions before and after, Moon God Island and Falling Star Island were not only not united but even had conflicting ideas.

There may be a great secret behind the Bloodline Elves, and even further, perhaps even a great secret behind Moon God Island.

Perhaps... the investigation of the secrets of the Bloodline Elves on Moon God Island could be entrusted to the Nais Clan on Falling Star Island.

Thinking this, Charlotte collected the two heaps of ashes and left the Conscious Space.

As for how to deal with these ashes, she planned to hand them over to that guy Nisi, who was full of tricks and might discover something.
