Blood Nemesis
Chapter 162: Chew 2
CHAPTER 162: CHEW 2
The demon felt something amiss as it sensed Oliver swim deeper. But before it could realise what was happening, he had already entered the pathway to the small intestine.
Suddenly, an ominous feeling shrouded the demon.
For some reason, it felt a chill crawl up its spine.
If everything had happened as predicted, Oliver should have fiercely resisted the acid and still should have succumbed to it.
However, contrary to what he expected, he somehow swam down into its intestine.
How?
The demon couldn’t understand that.
This was not the first time he was eating a B-ranker whole.
Non had the mana to resist the stomach acid.
And yet, Oliver did.
The golden mana Oliver indeed provided him with enhanced defense.
While the demon was perplexed by the situation, he swam deeper into the intestinal tract, trying to go further.
Finally, the demon realised it needs to prevent Oliver from moving.
Channeling its mana into the intestinal walls, it tried to squeeze Oliver and kill him.
No more did it care about giving Oliver a fate worse than death.
With the seed of doubt in its mind, it couldn’t let Oliver move around anymore.
Oliver too sensed the wall around him collapse towards him.
He sensed the fluid from the small intestine, which was less acidic, rise up and wash over him.
He didn’t need the armour to survive anymore.
Promptly, he diverted the mana used to protect him to a blood tentacle.
Hardening it, he made it into a spear tip.
Oliver could feel the blade-like tip of the tentacle hover near him.
’All or nothing...’
He said and plunged the tip into his own body.
Not into the body of the demon.
But into his own body.
Suddenly, a clicking sound came from his stomach.
Oliver smiled in the darkness, covered my mucus and disgusting fluid.
"Goodbye Bitch." He muttered.
Immediately, a glowing ball of fire burst out of his abdominal cavity.
"BOOM!"
When the walls of the intestine squeezed him, a giant explosion ripped apart Oliver and struck the intestinal walls.
The rippling mana wave disintegrated Oliver’s body. Meanwhile, a focused mana explosion in the brain completely destroyed his brain, eradicating all chance of his healing.
Even after doing all that, the explosion didn’t stop.
The mana wave, combined with the heat and pressure from the explosion, tore through the constricted intestinal wall.
Even though the demon did everything it could to protect itself. The explosion was too strong.
Stronger than any grenades Oliver used.
The demon didn’t predict the chance of something like that happening.
How could it?
No one in their right state of mind would ever place a bomb inside their body.
Only a suicidal maniac does that.
So, how could it have predicted it?
As the explosion ripped through the soft walls of the stomach, the demon grimaced and fell to its knees.
Hatred and anger burned in its eyes, thinking about the human’s face.
Because of it trying to constrict and slay the human, it suffered even more damage.
The explosion seemed to have severed the connection between its stomach to the small intestine.
The demon’s face darkened.
It wanted to bring Oliver back from the dead to kill him again.
Furious, the demon clutched its stomach and sat on the ground. While the injury was terrifying, it was not enough to kill it.
It was currently occupying the body of a monster.
A monster that is known for its healing ability.
Concentrating the mana around the injury, it tried to swiftly move the intestine to its right position, eliminate the undigested bits from its abdominal cavity seal the wound.
But...
"HUH!"
"WHY?"
For the first time, the demon lost its composure and shouted.
The monsters nearby shrank their neck and backed away.
Despite being low in intelligence, they instinctively knew their leader was angry.
With a whimper, every one of the beasts backed away and stood far away from the demon.
"HOW?"
The demon shouted again in utter confusion.
It didn’t know why, but the mana it was using to heal was suddenly running amok.
Instead of healing its injuries, the mana was flowing rapidly in a different direction, disregarding its will.
This was the first time something like that happened to it.
At the same time, a numbing sensation began to spread from the stomach to the surrounding muscles.
The demon struggled to control the stomach muscles.
The injured area spasmed.
For a moment, the demon panicked.
When it suppressed its emotions and pain, taking a moment to think, it realised it was poisoned.
The puny human was not just a suicidal bomber, he was also a crazy fucker that carried lethal posion on its body.
For a moment, it wondered whether this human was a trap the humans set to kill it.
Wasting not a second, the demon quickly focused all its mana around its abdomen and protected the rest of its body.
The poison was terrifyingly lethal and seemed to be made by mixing different toxins.
It was killing the cells from the inside, paralysing the nerves, and disrupting the flow of mana.
It was a poisonous cocktail that could kill it.
There was no time to waste.
The demon couldn’t allow the host body to die.
Pondering for a few seconds, it concluded that there was only one method that could save it.
The demon grimaced, thinking about it.
Still, it moved its hand towards its bulging stomach.
Suddenly, a thin blade of water formed, connected to its open palm.
With a slight hesitation, the demon bit down and slashed the stomach open.
Without the mana protecting it, the stomach was cut effortlessly.
Blood, half-digested food, and everything inside spilled out.
The demon’s hand moved again, swiftly to cut away the stomach and the intestine.
An unimaginable amount of pain travelled through the demon’s nerves. It clenched its jaw and released a guttural roar.
Still, it continued to cut away and clean all the poisoned body parts.
If it tried to leave the host body, the monsters that it controlled would be the ones that would kill and eat it.
So, it had to do the unthinkable and continue to heal the host body.
