CHAPTER 194: THE PUNISHER

There were three people inside the room.
Kim Yuna, the patriarch, and Jiah’s father.
Three of them simultaneously turned to look at the elder who had just arrived.
The elder nodded, noticing the two people from the younger generation talking to his brother, the patriarch.
Then he strolled in without a care in the world.
"Brother, I want to kill that bastard." He repeated again.
"Bastard? Who are you talking about?" The patriarch’s voice was calm and steady. "Who made you angry this time?" He inquired.
The elder who had just entered the room was the patriarch’s brother. The youngest of the remaining two.
He was known for having a short fuse and being a proponent of strict disciplinary actions.
Someone offending him was not out of the ordinary.
Every day, he would punish someone for their improper conduct.
However, why did he come here to get permission?
A foreboding feeling suddenly surged inside the room.
"Can you clarify who it is you are talking about?" The patriarch asked.
"Hm...I heard his name is Golden Feet. He came here as a guest."
"Golden Fiend, Oliver!" Yuna exclaimed.
Her heartbeat quickened as she nervously tightened her fist.
"Yes. Golden Fiend, that’s it." The elder corrected.
Immediately, silence descended into the room.
Kim Hyungho, Kim Jiah’s and Woojin’s father and patriarch, both looked at the elder in confusion.
The kid, Oliver, should have been resting in the waiting room. How could he have offended the elder?
They glanced at each other, not understanding what was happening.
However, like Yuna, they didn’t panic.
"How did he offend you?" The patriarch asked calmly.
The elder glanced over to Hyungho’s side and replied,
"He almost made your son a vegetable. The tendons in the four limbs of your son are severed. He would need two weeks of stem cell therapy to fully heal."
"Ah!"
Hyungho widened his eyes in shock. At the same time, a seed of anger sprouted in his mind.
"Why did he do that?"
"From what I know, your son tried to poison him. Later, they dueled, and one of them lost." The elder explained with a frown.
He didn’t like what Oliver did.
At the same time, he didn’t condone what Woojin did.
"Once he heals, your son will be punished for trying to poison a guest."
"Before you ask, there was poison in the food served to him. I checked before coming here."
The elder’s words were not difficult to understand. They quickly gained an overall understanding of what was happening.
Hyungho’s anger turned into disappointment when he heard his son had tried to poison a guest.
Being publicly beaten was a deserved punishment for his transgression.
"So, I want your permission to punish this Oliver child." The elder walked closer to the patriarch’s chair and asked.
Yuna and Hyungho stepped aside and made way for him.
Hearing him, the patriarch sighed.
He had a great impression of the kid called Oliver.
Among the younger generation he saw, he was the only one who faced his punch without batting an eyelid.
His fearless nature was enough proof that he was fated for greatness.
And considering that Oliver dodged his fist, it was practically set in stone.
As an elder who had seen many generations of talent, he had the intuition to gauge the prospects of the younger generation.
That’s why he wanted to recruit Oliver into their family, as a disciple or through marriage.
However, they had offended him.
"You can’t discipline him." The patriarch said firmly as he stood up.
This took the elder by surprise.
His brother was not a benevolent buddha. So, why was he being kind to the unknown brat?
"Why?" He asked.
"You will know soon enough."
The patriarch replied while looking at Yuna.
From what he had heard, Oliver was the disciple of the Thunder Emperor. He was an entity beyond the Kim family’s control.
Offending Oliver was like offending the military and the Thunder Emperor.
Punishing him while the mistake was on their side was not a particularly good idea.
Even a fool knew that.
’We can’t recruit him as a disciple. But we might be able to marry someone and form a relationship.’
’Kim Jiah will marry Oliver’s brother. The relationship is already there. We could tie him down if he can marry someone else to him?’
The patriarch eyed Yuna as he thought.
Yuna felt the change in his emotions and looked at him curiously.
The change in emotion was not substantial for her to detect what it was.
However, she had an inkling that it was related to her.
"Too late." Suddenly, the elder said, capturing the attention of everyone in the room.
"What do you mean by too late?" The patriarch asked.
The elder shrugged his shoulders and replied. "I asked the guards to break his legs and imprison him along with the mana beasts."
"YOU DID WHAT!" Yuna couldn’t hold back her words.
She shouted without realizing it and looked at the elder in complete shock.
In her mind, she was praying that what she had just heard was a mistake, an illusion, or something similar.
She didn’t want to believe Oliver was locked up, that too with the mana beasts.
The Kim family had a group of mutant and mana beasts imprisoned inside an underground facility. They use them for practical training and for experiments.
Many of these beasts were weaker ones, captured to train the younger generation. But there still existed some B and A-ranked beasts within the facility.
Yuna felt the grand elder before her and wanted Oliver to suffer. Or else, he wouldn’t have put him alongside the beasts.
The elder frowned because of Yuna’s outburst.
His nose flared as he squinted his eyes while he looked at her.
From his perspective, her outburst was a disrespect to him.
"Yuna, I think you have to learn the family rule once again. Copy the rules about respecting your elders a hundred times and bring them to me tomorrow."
The elder dishes out punishment as usual.
Despite receiving the punishment, she didn’t bat an eyelid. She was not in the right mood to think about that.
She quietly turned to look at the patriarch.
Immediately, she noticed the patriarch rubbing his forehead, sighing.
