CHAPTER 200: INTRO

Once Jiah agreed to leave with Oliver, he didn’t let the Kim family sway the decision. He forced them to agree to let her go with him, on the condition that she could return any time she wished.

The previous warnings and show of force did help him convince them that he could also protect her.

Thereafter, the Thunder Emperor and the patriarch conversed for a while before departing.

An hour later, Oliver returned to his home.

Kim Jiah was standing next to him, holding a suitcase which contained her clothes and the necessary items she brought from her home.

Oliver paused for a moment to consider how the situation had ended up this way.

Initially, he went to the Kim family to discuss the matter. Then they poisoned him, which made him angry and resulted in further complications.

Then, when he met Jiah, he noticed she was being mistreated and decided to ask her if she was willing to leave with him.

For some reason, she happily agreed.

So, Oliver had no reason to reject her. After all, he was the one who invited her to come with him.

Finally, they returned home and were standing in front of the door.

’How am I going to explain this?’

Oliver paused in front of the door, not knowing what to do.

’Ah! Damn it. Let’s see what happens.’

Thinking more did not help him, so he decided to act first.

Technically, this was not his problem. His brother was the one who impregnated this kind girl.

Oliver glanced at Kim Jiah, who stood patiently before him with a smile.

She didn’t seem averse to coming to his old, less spacious, and poorly built house, even though she came from a family of the ultra-rich.

’Now that I think about it, it’s time to change the house. We should move to somewhere with more space and security.’ Oliver silently decided.

Then, with a slight hesitation, he pressed the doorbell.

He didn’t have to.

He had changed the front door lock to a biometric system, allowing him to enter by simply pressing his finger against it.

But that would not be right, right?, right!

After pressing the doorbell, he waited for it to finish chiming.

It was already nine o’clock at night. Everyone should be present in the house. So, he didn’t have to wait long until the door was unlocked.

"Hmm!!"

The one who unlocked the door was Oliver’s mother, Maya. She widened her eyes and stood shocked when she saw Oliver standing next to a girl.

’Who is this girl?’

’Why did he bring her home?’

’OH! MY GOD! Is that a suitcase full of luggage I see?’

’Wait a minute, my son is...a son. I was beginning to think he wasn’t...’

A hundred questions instantly raced through Maya’s mind. She immediately wanted to hear the answers, but she didn’t know which question to ask first.

Meanwhile, Oliver smiled wryly, seeing the colourful expression on his mother’s face.

’She is overthinking...’

"Mom!" He called out.

"AH! YES!" She yelped.

Quickly calming herself, Maya said. "Oliver, you are home."

Then, hesitating for a second, she asked, "Umm! Who is this?" pointing at Kim Jiah, who was standing next to him.

"Oh! This young lady here is your daughter-in-law. She comes with a special offer of buy one, get one free." Oliver replied, pointing at Jiah and her belly.

It didn’t take a genius to understand what he meant.

Maya stood there shell-shocked, clutching the door for support.

On the other hand, Kim Jiah turned her head bashfully. The pure white skin of her flushed red from the neck up as her mother-in-law’s eyes passed over her.

’DAMN!’

Maya’s eyes widened further.

The girl was beautiful.

She was as graceful as a swan, yet possessed the charm of youth.

And from the way the girl was acting, what Oliver said is most likely true.

’What did he do this time?’ With a hint of anger and frustration, Maya immediately turned to face the smug mug of her son.

It would have been the perfect time to bring the broom and knock some sense into him.

But seeing Jiah standing next to him patiently, she didn’t want to do it.

Taking a deep breath to calm herself, she invited them inside.

"Come in."

"Okay," Oliver grabbed the luggage Jiah brought and pulled it while strolling into the house.

Unfortunately, he lacked the common sense to understand that a misunderstanding had occurred.

Oliver’s mother, Maya, thought Oliver was the one who knocked up the cute girl.

Meanwhile, Jiah was too embarrassed. Similar to Oliver, her brain was not functioning properly and she didn’t realise the misunderstanding that had formed. She thought Oliver had explained everything to the family before she was brought home.

However, that was not the case at all.

Oliver didn’t even call his brother to inform him that he was bringing Jiah home.

Although he was dependable when he took action, he lacked emotional intelligence and practical communication skills.

The inside of the house was warmly lit, and they were about to have dinner.

Oliver’s father and brother were sitting around the dining table, waiting for Maya.

However, it was at that time that the doorbell rang.

Maya was near the doorbell. She went to get it first.

That’s how Oliver and Jiah were brought into the house.

Wondering why Maya was taking that much time, both Jame and Arin stood up and walked to the door.

Then, the moment they saw Oliver and Jiah walking over, they paused.

Arin was stunned, flabbergasted and speechless. His eyes nearly popped out in disbelief.

He wondered whether what he was seeing was real while rubbing his eyes.

Meanwhile, James gave Oliver and Maya a puzzled look.

Jiah became self-conscious as the gaze drifted towards her. She awkwardly looked away to hide her embarrassment.

’Why are you being shy now?’ Oliver was puzzled.

He brought the suitcase and strolled into the living room. He met Arin’s gaze and waved to him.

"Why are you standing there? Come here and sit." Oliver called out to Jiah, who was behind him and pointed to the sofa.

Then he faced his parents and introduced himself.

"Mother, Father, this is your daughter-in-law. Her name is Jiah, Kim Jiah."

He motioned for Jiah to come closer.

"Sister in law, this is your father-in-law, James Thorne. That is your mother-in-law, Maya." Oliver said happily, not understanding the waves it created in everyone’s mind, as he pointed at his father and mother.

Kim Jiah smiled and bowed respectfully towards Maya and James, who were barely standing and said.

"Hello, my name is Kim Jiah. It’s a pleasure to meet you."

The bowing custom was prevalent in her family, so she treated everyone with the same respect.

However, Maya and James were not in the right state of mind to notice any of that. They looked at each other in confusion for a while before slowly turning to face their youngest child.

’Oliver called her sister in law. Which means...’

Arin swallowed hard.

His face blushed like a monkey’s butt as he nervously looked back at them.

Large beads of sweat were rolling off his face just thinking about explaining the situation.

His gaze shifted towards Oliver for a moment, wondering what the hell had happened.

Jiah was from the Kim family.

Arin knew of the Kim family better than anyone. After all, he had his ass whooped by them many times.

So, how did his brother bring her here?

Did he kidnap her?

But when he thought about it, she didn’t look like she was kidnapped.

Then, was Oliver trying to help him elope?

No way, if they were supposed to hide from the Kim family, Oliver wouldn’t have brought her here?

Arin thought over many scenarios, but he couldn’t find an answer.

But still, happiness welled up inside him. His gaze softened as he slowly turned to face Jiah.

He had a lot to talk about.

He wanted to speak.

However, no words were coming to him.

For a second, he stood, forgetting time and place, just looking at Kim Jiah.

The initial embarrassment and panic disappeared from his eyes as he slowly walked towards her.

Watching this, James and Maya understood what was happening. They initially thought Oliver brought his love home, but it was not the case.

It was Arin’s.

’But Arin is sixteen.’ James thought.

"Buy one, get one free!!" Maya muttered.

"What?" James didn’t understand what she meant. "What do you mean?" He asked.

The living room was small and everyone was standing close, so they could hear each other.

Hearing his father, Oliver stepped in to answer.

"Oh! I forgot to introduce the last member." Oliver walked forward and lifted his hand, pointing at Jiah’s stomach. "Father, meet your grandson or granddaughter."

His voice slowed the time within the living room.

"From what I heard, it’s two weeks old. In nine months, you are going to be a grandfather. I am going to be an uncle and mother...a granny...pfttt." Oliver laughed out loud when he called his mother ’granny’.

"EH!!!" James exclaimed and turned to look at his wife.

Maya shrugged her shoulders.

Then, together, they looked at Arin, standing next to Jiah.

’It might be true!!!’

They thought simultaneously.
