Bloodline of the Wizard
Chapter 228: 124 Mirror Dagger, Silver Comb, Bloodline, White Stone Castle
Chapter 228: Chapter 124 Mirror Dagger, Silver Comb, Bloodline, White Stone Castle
Ronan handed the lock of hair to Borbi, who divided it into three parts and exchanged each with one of the three Level 3 wizards inside the tower.
The first Level 3 wizard brought Ronan a half-fist-sized transparent object through Borbi. It was soft to the touch, like some kind of gel.
It was the essence of brain fluid from a Mind Control Monster, a type of demon beast that inherently possessed extraordinarily strong spiritual power, even capable of comprehending some Mind System and Curse spells.
The essence of their brain fluid was useful for helping Low-level Wizards enhance their spiritual cultivation, and it was used by lighting it during each meditation session, having been processed by special Magic Potion means, enabling such a small piece of gel to burn throughout an entire summer.
Ronan hadn’t specifically tried out its effects yet, but once he advanced to Level 2, this item would definitely be useful, making it a resource he was quite satisfied with.
The second item was a small bottle of Essence Blood from a Moon-eating Demon Whale, a powerful Magic Beast that lived only in the Extreme West Ocean, with a long lifespan and a very high growth ceiling. It was said that some people had even seen a Moon-eating Demon Whale whose body was comparable in size to a small piece of land, hosting a Wizard Kingdom on its back.
Benny had mentioned more than once that any powerful creature’s blood had an effect on the growth of the Holy Blood Tree. Thus, when this Level 3 wizard provided Ronan a list to choose from, and after not finding any item that would directly aid the enhancement of his own strength, he chose this bottle of Moon-eating Demon Whale’s Essence Blood.
Ronan didn’t know where the other party had obtained this item; it must have been years old. After many extractions and studies, it had been diluted beyond recognition.
However, considering that if it was flawless Essence Blood of a Moon-eating Demon Whale, it wouldn’t have ended up in Ronan’s hands, being able to trade it for a few strands of hair was already quite a favorable deal.
Compared to the items given by the previous two Level 3 wizards, the last one was quite straightforward, directly handing over two thousand Advanced Magic Stones through Borbi.
When this number was laid out in front of Ronan, he truly felt the immense allure his so-called “Ancient Giant Demon Bloodline” had to these Level 3 wizards.
Most bloodlines were the results of experiments by Ancient Wizards, some developed by digging into themselves to unlock powerful characteristics, which they successfully preserved down through generations.
Others, like Ronan’s “Ancient Giant Demon Bloodline,” were believed by the wizards of the Seventh Magic Rings to be examples of successful Bloodline Transplants by some Ancient Wizard.
They attempted to analyze this “Bloodline Transplant Technology” from Ronan’s body, aiming to reproduce the power and brilliance of the Ancient Wizards.
This act was not much different from deciphering the Space and Mirror Magic legacy through runes from the Mirror Court; both were nearly delusional endeavors, yet many wizards obsessively pursued them.
As Kosti described, including himself, there were no more than five wizards within the Silver Magic Ring who possessed Ancient Bloodlines, and the other four wizards’ bloodlines were not as powerful as his own, which allowed him to counter Level 2 Late Stage with only Late Level 1 Stage capabilities.
Using the Bloodline Power also showed no side effects, nor did it cause any trouble in his daily life and practice.
This was only possible in the relatively stable order of the Silver Magic Ring; if he were still wandering alone, after revealing his Bloodline Talent, it wouldn’t be uncommon for some extremely evil wizards to capture him for experimentation.
“Bloodline… what exactly is a Bloodline…”
Ronan murmured while looking at the small bottle containing the blood of the Moon-eating Demon Whale.
No one would have thought that he was not actually a possessor of an Ancient Bloodline at all; his “giant demonization” form was the result of his physique reaching a certain extreme, but if he were to disclose this, fewer would believe… No wizard would think that without physical alteration, a person’s physique could enhance to such a level.
His gaze then fell on the last two items, stirring a bit of anticipation in Ronan’s heart.
He picked up the dagger that lay on the table first.
The material of the dagger was very similar to the surface of the Second-tier Magic Tool mirror held by the Ponytail Witch, Fuling, from the First Magic Ring. Holding it felt slightly metallic, yet it seemed to be constantly flowing, as if the mirror was continuously reflecting the light in the air.
Only one rune, which was quite mysterious and completely different from the core rune in the Mirror Magic Tool, was enchanted inside the dagger, and it was estimated to be about Second-tier as well.
Ronan thought for a moment, then released his spiritual power to slightly activate the rune’s effect.
After the rune was activated, the dagger’s blade, like a mirror, swiftly flashed a gleam of light, with a faint wave of Spatial Energy emanating.
Ronan held the dagger and tried to make a light cut through the air in front of him…
Nothing happened.
So, he aimed the tip of the dagger at a feather pen on the table.
Before making the cut, Ronan was mentally prepared for any situation that might occur.
He considered the feather pen could silently split in two, possibly including the table beneath it, or even the floor below…
But the result–
“Pop–”
With the dagger flashing a silver light barely touching the feather pen, there was a slight crisp sound, and the latter seemingly vanished into thin air.
Then…
“Clatter–”
A sound indicating something had fallen to the ground came from behind Ronan.
He turned around to see a feather pen lying undamaged on the floor behind him, rolling slightly, then gradually coming to a stop.
