Bloodline of the Wizard
Chapter 576 - 259: Zhi Bone Demon Snail, Body Forging Breakthrough
CHAPTER 576: CHAPTER 259: ZHI BONE DEMON SNAIL, BODY FORGING BREAKTHROUGH
"Boom——"
The golden giant python howled, the dense gray mist exploded, and the former suddenly contracted, returning to Ronan’s front and transforming back into Titanium.
In just a few breaths of contact, the magic domain and energy particles attached to the Titanium were completely eroded, and even the Titanium, which had surpassed the Third Rank after devouring the "Red Lotus Staff," had consumed some of its power.
"Even a Dawn Wizard accidentally falling into this might not make it out alive..."
Ronan’s pupils shrank slightly as he turned and left without hesitation, abandoning any thought of contending with it.
The terrifying gray mist blocked the way back, clearly making the return path impassable, so now he could only try to find an escape route elsewhere.
Ronan continued along the intestine-like tunnel, which grew narrower as he advanced. The white, vine-like tendrils increased in number, and along the way, he saw the bones of some unknown creatures and things resembling weapons, as if from a very ancient time. They shattered and melted with just a slight touch of spiritual power.
Ronan kept moving forward without knowing how long he’d walked. The light before him grew dimmer, the air became increasingly murky and foul, and the free energy particles in the air became ever thinner.
It wasn’t until the relentless gray mist behind him suddenly disappeared that Ronan stopped walking.
"Kakaka——"
A strange sound drifted from the front.
It was very dense, like many people striking bone objects with high frequency.
Ronan’s eyes flickered, and he slowly approached the direction from where the sound emanated.
By now, the intestine-like tunnel had shrunk to just a few meters in height; the walls, floor, and ceiling were all filled with white tendrils growing from the intestinal walls, entwined like wildly growing vines, crowding the already narrow passage even more.
Fortunately, they showed no intention of attacking Ronan, though they were nauseating and creepy.
After walking a bit further, when the tunnel was almost fully packed with white tendrils, Ronan carefully squeezed through a narrow opening, and his view suddenly broadened.
"Kakaka——kaka——"
The frequent knocking sound became incredibly clear, and the source seemed to be right in front of him.
Ronan moved forward, the alternating light and dark around him made the place not entirely dim. As he finally saw the scene inside, he was left duly shocked.
Laid before Ronan was an enormous cavernous space, with elastic walls growing thick, white fleshy tubes. Each tube pulsated as if breathing; with each pulse, a white light swiftly traversed through the tube.
At the end of countless white fleshy tubes was connected a massive black strange snail.
The shell of the strange snail was crystalline, and from its body protruded coarse, long, sharp skeletal spikes, much like many of the strange snails Ronan had seen inside the Ghost Cry Fish.
If the one that swallowed Ronan was the Ghost Cry Fish King, then the strange snail parasitized within it should be a top individual among the strange snails.
It’s hard to say that Ronan ,who has been surprisingly decisive and calm throughout, had no desire to gaze upon this parasitic strange snail within the giant fish.
Now, he could consider his wish fulfilled.
"Kaka——kaka——"
The strange kaka sound reverberated within the hollow cavern, so close by.
With the activation of [Eye of Truth], Ronan saw a thin veil removed before him, revealing that each skeletal spike on the strange snail carried clusters of deformed, peculiar heads, squeezed together like grapes.
The heads on the "bunches of grapes" had their eyes shut tightly, with faces showing fear, sorrow, or rage expressions, each trembling slightly, with a continual sharp clattering of teeth...
"Are these once the Sea Clan of the Mermaid’s Song?"
Ronan inhaled lightly and attempted to move toward the gigantic black strange snail.
However, as soon as he took a step forward, those eerie heads above unexpectedly opened their eyes all at once, staring straight at him, their teeth chattering more rapidly.
Ronan frowned, ignoring the unsettling scene and continued onward.
Following the urgent "kaka" sounds, all the heads’ gazes moved with Ronan’s movement. As he nearly approached the black strange snail, the "kaka" sounds abruptly paused, followed by a series of shrill screams, and the "bunches of grapes" hanging inside the cavern suddenly scattered, with countless ghostly heads open-mouthed and roaring towards him.
"Ding——"
A crisp bell sound echoed.
A small, archaic-shaped cow bell appeared out of nowhere in Ronan’s hand. He gently shook the square-cornered cow bell, and a peculiar wave emanated from it, forming thick clouds of black smoke.
Immediately after, a pale-faced, blood-eyed youth exuding an overwhelming aura of hatred slowly emerged from the black smoke.
"Go ahead, Ahaxia!"
Ronan said calmly, and the youth’s cold gaze swept overhead. In the next instant, he transformed into a mass of black smoke, rushing out like a black python sweeping across the void, swallowing up dozens of strange heads approaching near Ronan, followed by a series of chewing sounds emanating from the black smoke.
The ghostly youth Ahaxia, though always prepared by Ronan as the perfect "arrow embryo" for practicing the spell [Ghost Arrow], was also an exceptionally powerful spiritual body, nearly on the verge of breaking through to Level 4, making him the perfect fit for handling the current situation.
The whirlwind transformed by Ahaxia created the most solid defensive barrier, securely safeguarding Ronan’s safety. Those ghostly heads were no match for him. Eventually, Ahaxia even began proactively hunting and devouring them, like a fierce rogue shark charging into a fish swarm.
