CHAPTER 57: FORCED TO GIVE UP!

Noah looked at Alexander Morgan, finding him both funny and annoying.

He finds it quite amusing that this old man is entirely mistaken in accusing Edgar of paying him.

At the same time, he can’t help but feel a bit annoyed by the old man’s insults.

"What do you need from me?" Noah finally asks.

Everyone in the room smiles happily, correctly guessing that this young man is a fake—he came after their money.

"Young man, by signing this agreement, you’ll give up my son’s inheritance."

Noah could only laugh inwardly as he looked at the paper before him.

"Don’t worry about losing money; I will provide enough to ensure you live comfortably for the rest of your life." Alexander Morgan continued his voice, now gentle and starkly contrasting to the unfriendly tone he had used before.

Noah didn’t rush to respond. He gazed at each of them individually, trying to remember their joyful expressions before he shattered their hopes into the abyss.

He then fixed his gaze on Alexander Morgan. "And what if I refuse?"

Alexander Morgan was surprised to hear Noah’s question. He had expected this young man to accept his offer immediately. But alas! He still wanted to negotiate the offer.

’What a shameless brat!’ A faint smile crept onto Alexander Graystone’s lips as he suppressed his anger.

"Young man, you have no choice. You must sign the paper, regardless of your disagreement."

Everyone was watching Noah.

"Are you going to force me to sign the letter?"

"Damn it! You’re wasting our time. Sign that paper now!" The first son snapped in irritation, his gaze so piercing it felt like a slap to Noah.

Still, Noah ignored him. He didn’t care about his first uncle or the others.

"Andrew, stop interrupting. Let your father talk to him," Isabel gently scolded her oldest son.

Andrew Morgan growled in annoyance, clearly irritated at his mother for interrupting him. However, he kept his mouth shut, his glare unwavering.

"Young man, my son is right. Let’s not waste time. You have other things to do, right? Just sign the document, and you can leave safely. I will transfer the agreed amount as stated in the paper."

Alexander took a moment to breathe deeply before adding, "However, if you decide against signing it now, we’ll have to force you; it might even cause you injury..."

Noah smiled at Alexander Morgan before turning his gaze to the man beside him, the lawyer.

"Sir, are you a lawyer?" Noah asked innocently as he glanced at the paper, trying to spot his name. "Ah, I saw your name here, attorney Patrick Langford from Langford Law Firm..."

"Yes, correct?" Patrick Langford responded, confused. "Why did you ask?"

"Mr. Patrick, I may not be a lawyer, but I can tell that Mr. Alexander Morgan did something wrong according to the law. However, as a legal expert, YOU didn’t point this out and seemed to accept that these threats are normal."

Noah spoke calmly, yet he couldn’t help but chuckle inwardly at Patrick’s expression, which had become so rigid.

When Noah saw him wanting to speak, he interrupted, "So, I want to ask you whether what Mr. Alexander Morgan did was wrong in the eyes of the law?"

"Unbelievable! This country bumpkin really makes my blood sugar spike!" Jeremy Morgan could no longer contain his mounting anger, his frustration boiling over. "Stop saying something; just sign that agreement!"

Noah ignored his uncle’s son entirely. Rising from his chair, he surprised everyone around him. Fixing his gaze on Alexander Morgan, he declared, "Mr. Morgan, I have nothing more to say, and this is my final answer: I won’t sign anything!"

The room suddenly grew noisy as Noah was preparing to leave.

"What the fuck?"

"Did he understand our words?"

"This motherfucker..." Jeremy Morgan marched toward Noah, firmly gripping his shoulder to halt him. "You can’t go anywhere, you bastard! Sign that paper right now, or you won’t be able to leave this room at all!"

Noah suddenly halted.

Instead of showing fear, Noah calmly met Jeremy’s gaze and said, "Move your hand now. Or you will regret it..."

Jeremy was too angry to hear Noah’s words and failed to notice how calm Noah was now.

"You ask for it, motherfucker!"

Jeremy shoved Noah back into his seat with all his strength, but Noah wouldn’t budge no matter what. The effort made Jeremy’s arm hurt like crazy. It makes him even more furious.

He looked at Noah’s eyes.

’Is this guy frozen in fear or just being foolish?" Jeremy wondered.

Clenching his teeth, he barked at him again, "Move! Sign the paper..."

"I’m giving you one last chance. Move your hand now... or you’ll find yourself on the operating table."

"Bwahaha, do you think you’ll have the courage to do that? We’ll toss you to the po...Aaaaah..."

Jeremy cried out in agony as Noah swiftly seized his arm and twisted it hard.

"Let go of my hand!"

Jeremy yelled, but Noah paid him no attention. He even ignored the furious protests from the others, especially his first uncle, Jeremy’s father.

Noah casually pushed Jeremy’s hefty body toward the table, forcing half of him to lie on it with his left cheek pressed against the surface.

Before Jeremy could shout, a sound like broken bones was heard, followed by his louder howl.

"Fa-Father, please help me. Imprison this bastard!" Jeremy cried out in despair.

"Grandpa, I demand justice! I will not forgive this scoundrel!"

Noah laughed inwardly. He still twisted Jeremy’s arm with one hand while gently patting Jeremy’s flushed cheeks with his other hand.

Lean closer, he said mockingly,

"You claim to be the eldest grandson of this family, but all I see so far is that you are a whiny and weak person! You see, I only held your hand gently, and you are already crying like someone has just squeezed your wrist until it cracked. You are so fucking WEAK!"

Jeremy was on the verge of going insane. How could this man say he didn’t break his wrist?
