CHAPTER 67: KIDNAPPED!

’Sorry, Sir, I forgot to clear the road for you. Done!’

The light turns green, and Noah accelerates once more, speeding along the remaining road without stopping, as all the traffic lights ahead are now green.

It didn’t take long. Zoe’s voice echoed in his mind again, ’Sir, I found Seven near the location. He is five minutes away and I have already notified him...’

"Thank you. Ensure he searches the area for her, and send him Emma’s latest picture." Noah gave another instruction.

Noah could guess what had happened to Emma; someone must have kidnapped her. But he tries not to believe that. He hopes whoever attacks her only wants money and leaves her alone.

After a few minutes, Noah tried to settle his frantic mind as he focused on the street ahead. Suddenly, something crossed his mind.

"Zoe, can you access any CCTV near Emma’s cell phone location?"

’Yes, I can. I will check and report asap.’

Noah notices that the connection with Emma’s cell phone has ended, and soon after, an incoming call interrupts the silence.

He quickly glanced at the cell phone screen and saw Jason’s name. After turning on the speaker, he answered, "Jason, where are you?"

"I’m following the GPS link I received in your text. Noah, is everything okay?" Jason’s voice sounded worried.

"No, I’m not okay. Ugh. Emma’s in this city, and out of nowhere, she called me, saying someone was following her. It seems she’s been kidnapped. I’m heading there now..."

Noah paused when he heard Jason express his shock from the other end.

Jason’s voice was shaky as he asked, "Have you found her?"

"I’m still searching. I’ll update you later. For now, follow your GPS link." Noah ended the call.

By the time Noah’s car finally arrived at his destination, he spotted Seven waiting by the side of the road. The area appeared quite dark.

He could see that the hotel was just a few meters away.

How could that person dare to kidnap someone in such an open space?

His heart felt like it was dropping as he imagined Emma had been kidnapped and that person would harm her.

And now, he has not yet heard anything from Zoe. Curious, he asked, ’Zoe, any clue!?’

Noah didn’t wait for Zoe to reply; he opened the door and approached Seven.

"Sir, I found this cell phone..." Seven offered the black cell phone to Noah.

Looking at the familiar cell phone, Noah couldn’t hide his calmness as he tightened his grip on it. It was Emma’s phone.

"Sir, after retrieving the cell phone, I surveyed the area but didn’t notice anything suspicious. A few passersby also mentioned they hadn’t seen or heard anything unusual. Additionally, I checked and found there are no CCTV cameras in this area..." Seven explained.

Once Noah felt his mind clear again, he looked at Seven and said, "My friend visits the convenience store over there. Let’s check the CCTV..."

"I had already sent someone to check after noticing the shopping bag filled with snacks and drinks."

Seven replied while looking in the direction of the convenience store, and saw a man approaching them. "Ah... looks like he’s coming back."

The man politely greeted Noah before explaining what he had found at the convenience store.

"Sir, we can’t access the CCTV in the store. The store staff needs a police report to show us the recording..."

Seven, upon hearing that, instantly expresses his anger, "What? You should use any means to check it, why the heck are—"

Nevertheless, Seven’s voice trailed off when he noticed Noah’s expression slowly change. The calmness was gone; instead, he looked furious, pinching his eyebrows, and his face turned a deep red.

"Sir, no worries, I will go to check..."

"No! It’s fine. I found a clue..." Noah interrupted Seven after hearing Zoe’s clear explanation in his mind.

"Do you already know where they take her?"

"Yes! Seven, follow my car. And please share your location with Jason, asking him to follow us as well," Noah said before he rushed to his car.

Noah drove quietly, following the GPS directions on his dashboard. The kidnapper’s car is now heading to an abandoned port on the other side of town.

He still doesn’t know who the kidnapper is, as Zoe continues her investigation, while he focuses on driving faster.

Noah no longer cares about anything else. He only needs to get close to the kidnapper.

...

Soon, he reached an abandoned port area located far from the nearby city.

’Sir, I lost track of the van in this area because there is no longer any CCTV coverage around this abandoned port.’

Noah said nothing; he could only grip the steering wheel tighter and focus on his surroundings.

After taking a few more moments to drive slowly and absorb the surroundings, Noah stopped his car just before entering the port gate.

He could see the place was massive, with many large structures visible even in the limited light.

There was only the gentle glow of lamps along the roadside. Still, through his keen eyes, he realized that the large structures that once lined the seashore and served as warehouses were no longer in use.

Noah stepped out of his car and looked ahead. Just in time, Seven and his team joined him.

He only gave him a brief nod before looking ahead.

"Sir, how is it?" Seven asked as he stood next to Noah.

Noah signs deeply before glancing at Seven, "I know the kidnapper’s van is in this area, but I don’t know which building."

Seven looked ahead and saw over ten large buildings. "It seems we can’t use this car to enter the area. Not if we want to enter undetected. They will hear us if we enter with our car."

"Yes, you’re right, Seven. That’s why we need to inspect each building individually and do it quickly. Our time is limited..."

Noah paused as he saw another car arrive, and Jason rushed out of the vehicle. He asked them all to come closer to him and began explaining his plan.

"Alright, we need to move now! We only have five people, and we’ll check the building one by one. Anyone who finds the white van or hears something suspicious must notify me before making a move..."

No one refused the idea; they all nodded after hearing Noah’s instruction and started moving.

After retrieving his gun from his mind storage, Noah began to move, hoping he could defeat whoever the enemies are without hurting Emma.
