The others stared at me as if I hadmitted all seven deadly sins while they walked past. I quickly gathered my belongings and made a swift attempt to exit, anxiously trying to avoid being murdered by their piercing gazes.
I clicked my tongue in irritation. I was merely offering my perspective on the topic, yet some voices in the room interpreted
as an act of defiance against Elias‘ words–or, even worse, an audacious attempt to capture his attention.
With a heavy sigh, I shook my head and hurried my steps, only to feel a sharp tug at my arm that made me frown. Turning around, I was met with Sienna’s ire–filled bgaze/b.
“Let go, I demanded.
She smirked, tilting her head slightly, and ignored my request. “Didn’t you say you were going toy low?”
“I did.” I replied.
“It doesn’t seem that way to me,” Sienna said through gritted teeth. “What? Now bthat /bJaxon’s left you, you’re targeting the other Alphas?”
“What are you talking about?” I eximed, pulling my arm away from her hold. However, her sharp nails grazed my skin in the process, leaving a stinging scratch.
Before I could further defend myself, someone interrupted our tense exchange. Sienna froze and spun around, her floral scent intensifying in the air, prompting me to cover my bnose/b.
“Alpha Elias,” she addressed him, bowing slightly. “What brought you here? Do you want to talk-”
“bArden/b.” Elias interjected, raising an eyebrow as he crossed his barms /bover his chest. “So, that’s your name.”
I pursed my lips in response. “Yes,” I muttered under my breath.
Sienna shot me an incredulous re before Elias turned his attention to her. “Can you leave?”
Sienna’s face flushed a deep crimson, band /bafter a long pause filled with tension, she finally stalked off, though not without. shooting me onest contemptuous look.
I sighed bin /brelief, grateful to have her gone, bbut /bnow I faced the task bof /bdealing with Elias. Turning around, I hoped he would let me slip away without dragging me into a conversation, but he ced a hand firmly on my shoulder, dangerously close to my scent bnd/b. I instinctively backed away and bremoved /bhis hand from bthat /bSensitive area
A smirk yed on his blips /bas he locked bhis /bgaze onto mine. “Sensitive, bare /bwe?”
“It bmakes /bme wonder what other parts byou’re /bbsensitive /bin.” he murmured, his bvoice /bdropping to ba /bnear whisper.
I clicked my tongue and crossed my barms /bdefensively. “What do you want?”
You’re mustaken!
My brows knutted together in confusion. iHe /ihad gone out of his way just to say that?
“Weaknesses are precisely what lead to your heart bbeing /bbcarved /bbout /bin the first ce. When byou’re /bas tough as stone, that won’t happen.
While Lagree that by running away, you’re merely stalling the inevitable, it also bmeans /byou are gaining time. Time to ormte better strategies, rally strong allies, band /bultimately bsave /bthe majority”
I bdidn’t /bfully understand why he was imparting all this wisdom to ine, bas /bif he were eager bto /bbprove /bbhimself /bfurther. “But I must say,” he continued, stepping closer this time. I held my bground /band met his gaze head–on, refusing to back away.

“You made ban /bexcellent point.”
“I don’t say this lightly, but you seem exceptionally intelligent.”
He scrutinized my face, cataloging every detail, bdrinking /bit in andmitting it to memory with his gaze.
“Intelligence is very attractive, he remarked, a hint of appreciationcing his words.

“I really think we should consider a different approach to earn those points,” Rowan interjected, tapping his pen rhythmically on the table.
My group
for Pack Psychology & Bonding was nestled in the library, where Miss Loveson had granted us the freedom to continue our presentations outside the confines of the ssroom.
“I agree,” Tessa added timidly. “I heard the other groups are nning roleysb, /bwhile some have even opted to create songs.”
I pursed my lips, contemting the suggestions. A song or a roley based on knotting wouldn’t garner much interest, would it? In fact, it sounded ridiculous.
Rowan shook his head. “That won’t work for us,” he echoed my thoughts. “But I agree that we need a fresh idea to elevate our presentation above the rest.”
Cade nodded thoughtfully. “We don’t know how many points are in y, but bMiss /bLoveson is known for giving out significant points.”
We were silent for a few moments before Rowan turned to me with a small smile. “Have byou /bslept with any of the Alphas yetb?/b”
My brows furrowed, band /bI felt Tessa stiffen beside me. “Excuse bme/bb?/b”
“If you haven’t, then would you like to make a video demonstration of knotting? I bthink /bit would be really hot.”
I couldn’t believe my ears. It was appalling how he would be /bup with a suggestion. He must bhave /bnoticed the look on my face as heughed out loud, throwing his head back.
Come bon/bb. /bIt’s not that weird. I’m bassuming /byou’ve seen those videos in the Aftersound. I’m telling you–people won’t even bat an eye.
“In bfact/b, your status is going to be uplifted the moment we share the video,
“This bis /bban /bbacademic /bbproject/b,” I deadpanned
“Yes, and I’m bsure /bMiss Loveson would appreciate the… visual rity a video demonstration providesb./b”
“Knotting is done between bonded pairs, or those with bruts /bband /bheats. It’s to seed the man’s essence and increase the bchances /bof pregnancy.”
That’s all true,” Rowan bsmirked /b“But it’s more than just biology. It’s primal Raw. Intense. I’m telling you–when you’re knotted, it’s like nothing else exists. You feel everything. The stretch, the pressure, the heat. It’s addictive.”
I turned to the side and found bTessa /bwith very red cheeks, which told me she bhad /bdone this before. bAgain/b, Cade’s face remained neutral, but it wasn’t too far off bthat /bhe had done something like it.
“Why?” Rowan suddenly asked, leaning against his elbows b“/bbAre /byou a virgin or something?
Helt my heart skip a beat, but I didn’t bgive /banything away with my bexpression/b. “No,” I bcalmly /bsaid.
“Ah,” he bcontinued/b. “You must be the old–fashioned type, thenb. /bThat’s better. I bcan /bshow you the wonders and pleasures of

“bThe /bfeeling of fullness is unmatched. It will be an ache bthat /bspreads bthrough /byour whole body until you’re gasping. You might even grow addicted to it if you do it with me,” he winked.
The table was silent, all their gazes on me. Well, except for Cade, who appeared deep in thought. Just then, the bell rang, and I bwas /bbfinally /bable to bbreathe /bproperly.
“Bummer, Rowan said, pulling out bhis /bchair. He then grabbed my phone and inputted his number before winking at me.
