CHAPTER 242: SHOCKED MIRA (PART 2)

"A black door..." Azrael said in a serious tone. "We saw the people of the security forces and the Transcendent Organization working together, draining the blood of the recently kidnapped victims onto a strange black door."

"Draining their blood..." Mira frowned at Azrael’s words, and suddenly, she recalled the bizarre phenomenon that had appeared earlier.

When she connected it with the blood-soaked, corpse-filled environment of the Ancient Ruins, a dreadful thought formed in her mind.

’Is it possible that the strange phenomenon from earlier is somehow related to these ruins?’ She wondered, before quickly asking.

"What happened then?"

"Seeing the kidnapped people being treated like animals, we wanted to save them, but the three of us had no way to face the combined forces of the Transcendent Organization and the security forces, so all we could do was watch silently." Azrael paused for a moment, then sighed before continuing.

"In the end, as they kept pouring blood of the kidnapped people over the door, it finally opened, and all the members of the security forces and the Transcendent Organization went inside."

Azrael looked at Mira with a solemn expression. "We tried to follow them, but the door closed before we could enter. Once it shut, the space inside the ruins began collapsing. The collapse happened so fast that we didn’t even have time to reach the entrance and escape. In the end, I had no choice but to use a Legend-level prop, the Exit Stone, that my mom gave me to safely get us out."

At this point, killing intent began to leak from Azrael’s body.

"But the moment we escaped from the ruins and came out, this guy..." Azrael pointed at Harin’s corpse and sneered, "...Suddenly attacked me out of nowhere, nearly killing me. If it weren’t for this Eclipse Mantle that my father gave me, I would’ve died right there."

Mira’s eyes narrowed at Azrael’s words as she looked thoughtfully at Harin’s lifeless body.

Meanwhile, Luo Bingqing and Elyara stood at a distance, not daring to approach either Azrael or Mira as neither of them was as bold as Azrael, and both feared that if they stood too close to Mira, they might accidentally expose the truth.

’Although he isn’t completely lying... he is really throwing the security forces under the bus just because they tried to mess with him,’ Elyara thought inwardly, struggling to hold back the urge to give Azrael a thumbs-up.

What surprised Luo Bingqing and Elyara even more was how naturally he expressed emotion while recounting everything, it was as if he had perfect control over every feeling he displayed.

"You killed him?" Mira asked calmly, her gaze fixed on Harin’s body.

"Yes. He tried to kill me, so I didn’t hold back," Azrael replied simply.

Though Mira’s expression didn’t change outwardly. Inwardly, she was completely shocked and it wasn’t without reason.

Not too long ago, she had personally watched him die at the ninth level of the Tower of Trials. At that time, he couldn’t even defeat a peak Class-rank warrior. But now, within such a short period, he had killed someone who was almost at the peak of the Epic rank.

’What kind of nonsense is this?’ She screamed inwardly, and it was then that she realized something else was off.

Her eyes widened slightly as her body stiffened.

"You... you are already at the peak of the Class rank?" She asked uncertainly, wondering if her senses were mistaken because she was only a projection.

"We found some good things inside the ruins," Azrael said calmly. "Although it was dangerous, we managed to gain a few benefits."

Mira looked at him silently for a few seconds before speaking. "I want you to tell me everything that happened once you return to the Academy."

The main reason Mira wanted a full account was the strange phenomenon that had appeared earlier. Although she couldn’t be completely certain, she had a strong feeling it was connected to the ruins.

Of course, another reason was that, with her vast experience, she could tell that not everything Azrael said was true. However, since he had cleverly mixed truth with lies, even she couldn’t tell which parts were fabricated.

"Yes, Vice Principal," Azrael nodded, then pointed at Morak. "What about him, Vice Principal? I think he is also involved with the Transcendent Organization. Earlier, while I was defending myself against that dead guy, he suddenly appeared and used his higher level to restrain me, Luo Bingqing, and Elyara."

Morak’s teeth clenched in anger at Azrael’s words. He wanted to speak, but under Mira’s oppressive presence, he couldn’t even open his mouth.

Mira glanced at Morak briefly before saying in a calm tone.

"Don’t worry about him. I’ll inform Maelir, he will handle everything properly."

As she spoke, she withdrew her oppressive aura from Morak. "Don’t do anything foolish in the meantime, and handle the aftermath of the ruins carefully."

Morak let out a quiet breath of relief as the crushing pressure disappeared and spoke in a serious voice, "Lady Mira, everything that he sa—"

"You don’t need to give me any explanation," Mira interrupted coldly. "Someone will contact you soon. Tell them whatever you want to say then."

After finishing, she turned her attention to Luo Bingqing and Elyara and when she sensed that both of them had also reached the peak of the Class rank, her mouth twitched slightly.

"Don’t stay in the Flato Solar System any longer. Return as soon as possible."

"Yes, Vice Principal," Both of them responded quickly.

Finally, Mira turned her gaze to Azrael and seeing his expressions were still serious, she spoke softly, "Don’t worry. He won’t dare to play any tricks anymore."

Azrael nodded and added in a serious tone.

"By the way, I lost one Legend-level and one Star-level prop inside the ruins. If it turns out that he was involved with the people inside, I hope you’ll ensure I receive proper compensation."

Morak nearly fainted upon hearing those words. He wanted to protest, to say that even his entire fortune wouldn’t be enough to buy a Star-level prop, much less compensate for one, but he didn’t dare speak.

Mira sighed inwardly, a weary expression flickering across her face, before nodding. "Alright. Anything else?"

"No," Azrael shook his head.

Mira gave a slight nod, then ended the call.

The moment the projection disappeared, Morak glared at Azrael, his face twisted in anger. "What kind of nonsense were you spouting earlier?!"

Azrael gave him a flat, indifferent look before ignoring him completely.

Turning toward Luo Bingqing and Elyara, he spoke calmly, "Let’s go. It’s time to head back."

Luo Bingqing and Elyara nodded, and without sparing Morak or the security forces another glance, the three of them walked away.
