CHAPTER 255: EPIC RANK (PART 2)

Azrael returned to his mansion and ordered a hearty meal for himself, as he had been surviving on nothing but energy bars for the past few days.

While waiting for the meal to arrive, he pondered over the Blood Moon Phase that Mira had mentioned.

According to what Azrael had read, Eonrift occasionally went through something known as the Blood Moon Phase.

During this time, most of the individuals inside Eonrift would go berserk and lose their sanity. Only powerful individuals with exceptionally strong will and spiritual power could resist the influence of the Blood Moon.

The strength of the monsters within Eonrift would increase tremendously during this period, and they would become insanely bloodthirsty.

To survive the Blood Moon Phase, most of the weaker individuals would take refuge inside the sanctuaries. However, since the Blood Moon occurred randomly, many who were unable to return to the sanctuary in time would lose their minds under its effects.

Even if some managed to resist the mental corruption, they would still be in grave danger, as the monsters would riot violently during the Blood Moon Phase, slaughtering countless people in their frenzy.

"Well, my strength has increased greatly recently. I still need some time to settle down and get used to it, so there’s no rush to enter Eonrift," Azrael muttered, shaking his head as he dismissed the thought.

After a brief pause, he decided to message Felix, asking where he was. A few minutes later, he received a reply and was surprised to learn that Felix wasn’t at the academy.

Instead, he had accepted a mission along with a group of students and was currently out in the field.

’Actually, considering he possesses the Power of Blessing, which provides strong support, he must be quite the hot commodity among students who take on missions,’ Azrael thought.

He sent another message to Felix, telling him to take care of himself and to meet him as soon as he returned to the academy.

’I wonder if he will show any reaction after seeing No. 4...’ He mused quietly, leaning back on the sofa.

Although he knew the chances of Felix recognizing No. 4 were almost negligible, since this wasn’t Earth, and Felix had no memories of that time, Azrael still wanted to test it. Perhaps it might trigger something buried deep within.

’Am I really the only one who remembers Earth...?’ He sighed inwardly before pushing the thought aside.

Some of the things Nalvadir had told him disturbed him greatly. He wanted answers, but he had no idea where to even begin searching for them.

Just as he was lost in thought, the doorbell rang.

Azrael didn’t bother getting up to answer it. Instead, he used his Power of Wind to open the door.

Outside stood a small robot, about a meter tall, holding a package in its metallic hands.

Azrael’s student ID card floated out of the mansion, carried gently by a wind current, and tapped the robot’s head. Once his identity was verified, the robot released the package, and the wind carried it inside, closing the door behind it.

"The Power of Wind is really suitable for lazy people," Azrael chuckled lightly before opening the package and digging into his meal.

As he ate, he opened his status window and checked his task points.

---) Task Points: 34,045

"What should I buy with them?" He murmured, thinking deeply as he opened the shop window.

"For now, I don’t need any new Essentia Arts, skills, weapons, or props, the ones I have are already good enough."

He scrolled through the shop, and his gaze eventually stopped at two categories that caught his interest: Runes and Attributes.

"Once I break through to the Epic Level, I’ll be able to embed another rune and attribute," He thought, focusing on the attribute section specifically tailored for those compatible with the Power of Wind.

====

---) Sharp Attribute: All your attacks will carry the Sharp Attribute, allowing you to cut through objects more easily and inflict severe damage on your target.

(Price: 18,000 Task Points)

====

"Although this attribute is quite simple, it can greatly increase the lethality of my attacks..." Azrael muttered, rubbing his chin thoughtfully.

If he obtained the Sharp Attribute, the power of his normal wind-based attacks, such as Wind Blades and even his Essentia Art SkyRift Slash, would rise to an entirely new level.

Not only that, it would also complement his Astral Attribute perfectly.

The damage caused by the Astral Attribute depended heavily on the degree of physical harm his attacks inflicted. The stronger his physical damage, the greater the soul damage dealt by the Astral Attribute.

Considering that the Sharp Attribute could amplify the lethality of his wind attacks, it was an excellent choice.

Moreover—

’It’s cheap,’ He thought, glancing at the price before deciding to keep it in mind.

====

---) Graviton Attribute: Upon embedding this attribute, your winds can become crushingly heavy or deceptively light at your will, controlling the battlefield.

(Price: 70,000 Task Points)

====

Azrael’s brows lifted slightly as he read the description.

"It’s similar to Fallen Star’s The World ability..." He murmured, thinking of his Soul Armament.

’If I embed this attribute, I’ll be able to manipulate my opponents more effectively in battle,’ He thought as numerous ideas flashed through his mind.

By altering the weight of his winds, he could suppress opponents stronger than himself, limiting their movement. The thought of increasing the weight of his winds by thousands of kilograms and forcing his enemies to their knees filled him with anticipation.

"In the case of weaker opponents, they’d simply be crushed to death under the weight of the wind..." He whispered, only to sigh softly when his gaze returned to the price tag.

"It’s too expensive for me right now," He said, shaking his head before continuing to browse through more attributes.

As he scrolled, a sudden notification flashed before his eyes, causing him to freeze.

====

(You have completed the hidden task — Successfully simulate your Eternal Grade Bloodline)

(Reward: 100,000 Task Points)

====

Azrael stared blankly at the massive reward that dropped out of nowhere with a dumbfounded look on his face.

However, instead of feeling joy, he found himself frowning deeply, confusion flickering in his eyes.
