CHAPTER 302: CHAPTER 302: JERRY & MAYA

"But if I keep losing roles like this, what if I really have to do it someday just to survive in the industry?"

Tears welled up in her eyes, but deep down, she was smiling.

The sugar daddy’s jaw tightened. His expression turned icy. Without a word, he picked up his phone and made a call.

"Revoke that director’s license," he said coldly to the person on the other end. "I want him out. Don’t let him work again. And block the drama from being approved for broadcast. Put up every roadblock you can. Understood?"

"Yes, sir," came the reply.

After ending the call, the sugar daddy placed the phone back on his desk.

Maya’s eyes sparkled. She leaned in and hugged him tightly. "You’re the best," she whispered sweetly. "Without you, I don’t know what I’d do."

The sugar daddy held her close. Then he looked into her eyes and said in a stern voice, "Don’t say things like that again. If you ever talk about sleeping with another man again, I will punish you."

Maya blinked, then giggled. "Okay~ I won’t."

The sugar daddy leaned in close. "Good. Now, for saying that, you deserve a punishment."

He was just about to kiss her when...

Ring! Ring! Ring!

His phone started ringing loudly.

The sugar daddy’s face twisted in annoyance. He ignored it and leaned in again.

Ring! Ring! Ring!

He frowned, clearly annoyed. He had just been about to enjoy a special moment with Maya. He didn’t like being interrupted, especially not at a time like this.

Maya pouted. "Ignore it," she whispered sweetly, wrapping her arms around his neck. "It’s probably nothing important."

But the phone wouldn’t stop ringing.

The sugar daddy’s face turned darker. He pushed Maya away gently but firmly and said, "Wait."

He reached for his phone and looked at the screen.

It was his assistant.

He answered the call, trying to keep his voice calm.

"What is it?" he asked coldly.

The assistant on the other end sounded nervous. "Sir... something big just happened. Really big."

The sugar daddy sat up straight. "Talk."

"There’s been a leak... a huge one. Someone just posted all of our company’s confidential data online. Every illegal deal, every hidden project, even the false reports we filed, it’s all there."

The sugar daddy’s eyes widened. "What did you say?!"

"It’s everywhere, sir," the assistant said quickly.

"Social media, news websites... even the shareholders are calling nonstop. They’re asking if it’s true. Some are already pulling their investments."

The sugar daddy’s hands tightened around the phone. His body suddenly felt cold, even though the room was warm.

"Who did this?" he asked in a low, dangerous voice.

"We don’t know yet," the assistant replied. "Our system was hacked. But... the hacker was really good. We can’t trace them. It’s like they vanished into thin air."

The sugar daddy stood up slowly, like a volcano about to erupt. His face looked angry and shocked at the same time.

Maya stood nearby, looking confused. "What happened?" she asked softly.

The sugar daddy didn’t answer. His mind was racing.

Who could do this to him?

He had so much power. So much money. No one had ever dared to go against him before.

And now, his entire empire was on fire.

His phone buzzed again. This time, it was a message from the media.

Breaking News: Secret crimes of a multi-millionaire businessman exposed. Full report inside.

He clicked on the link.

And there it was, everything. Pages and pages of documents, screenshots, emails, and transactions that should’ve never been made public.

There were even details about how he helped Maya steal roles from other actresses, how he threatened producers, and how he bought off film approval boards.

Maya noticed the change in his eyes and felt nervous. "W-What’s wrong?" she asked again, her voice shaky.

But the sugar daddy didn’t answer. He just picked up his coat and stormed out of the room.

"Jerry!" Maya called out; however, the sugar daddy, aka Jerry, didn’t even cast a glance in her direction.

Aurora stood by the window, her phone in hand. She had just finished watching everything that happened between Maya and Jerry.

Aurora smirked.

She had warned them. But they didn’t listen.

Now, they were facing the consequences.

She stretched her arms and let out a soft sigh. "Well," she said to herself with a little smile, "that’s done."

There was no time to waste now. She had plans for the day, fun, peaceful plans.

After all, she had a date with Spencer.

They were going to watch a movie together, then visit an amusement park, and maybe grab some ice cream before heading home.

Aurora was actually looking forward to it. Spencer had been really sweet lately, and spending time with him always made her laugh.

She went to her closet and picked out a cute outfit, something comfortable but still pretty. A pastel pink top, some light denim shorts, and her favorite sneakers.

She added a little perfume and did a quick touch-up to her hair. When she was done, she checked herself in the mirror and smiled.

"Perfect," she whispered.

As she walked outside and locked the door behind her, she suddenly stopped.

Lucas was standing by the hallway, holding his keycard.

He looked up, a little surprised to see her. "Oh, hey," he said calmly.

Aurora blinked. "Lucas? You’re home?" she asked, clearly surprised. "What are you doing here? I thought you were working at the company today."

Lucas smiled a little and rubbed the back of his neck. "Ah... I forgot some files," he said casually. "Just came to grab them."

Aurora nodded slowly. That made sense.

Among all her siblings, Lucas had always been the most serious about his goals. Since he was 19, he’d been doing internships non-stop. His dream? To open his own company before turning 25.

Now, at 21, Lucas already had three years of experience under his belt. He was learning fast, working hard, and never wasting time.
