Haider’s POV:

S voucher

My foot pressed down on the elerator, the engine of the car roaring to life. The world outside became a blur of color and motion, the streetlights a long, winding streak of light. My mind was a mess, a whirlwind of fear, confusion, and a single, burning purpose. All I could hear, all I could think of, were Mkai’s final words.

“If you’re serious then go after her, if you two are meant to be together then you’ll be able to catch her. But I suggest you think twice before doing that because if you are capable enough and change her mind about staying, then it’s either you being with her forever or death. So choose wisely.” It wasn’t a promise of a happy future. It was a wager. A challenge. He wasn’t giving me permission to be with his daughter; but he wasn’t stopping me either.

Of course I chose her. I would choose being with her over anything. Over my life, over everything.

Dad had tried to stop me. But Mom understood. I knew she understood what I felt, her eyes were somber but understanding as she held Dad back, her grip firm against his arm, letting me leave the mansion.

I didn’t need words to know what she was thinking. She had a story that was just like mine. And I knew my father did too, he was just so blinded by the need to protect his son that he wasn’t able to give Sienna proper thought. I knew from the bottom of my heart that they would learn to not only ept but love Sienna if she stayed. Because that was just the kind of people they were.

As soon as I reached the airport, I parked my car haphazardly, uncaring of any fines as I raced inside. I looked around, my head turning in all directions, my eyes frantic, trying to see where she could be. It had taken me all but ten minutes to reach the airport. Boarding doesn’t begin so early; she had to be here somewhere- fn05f4 Th?s chapter is updated by findnovel/fn05f4

My eyes widened as my gaze finally caught on a familiar sh of ck. Not her hair, but the worn ck hoodie. She was standing by therge, ss window, her back to me. I didn’t think, I just ran. I moved through the crowd. I didn’t care about the people I bumped into, the angry voices that followed me, the curious nces that were being thrown my way.

I reached her, grabbed the back of her hoodie before pulling it down sharply, and a curtain of ck, silky hair cascaded around her neck. The scent of her hit me instantly.

She snapped her head around, her eyes wide with surprise.

“Haider?” She whispered. My heart clenched at the sight of her red–rimmed eyes, the telltale sign of a pain she couldn’t show. My hands were trembling as I bent down and pulled her into a hug, my arms tight. “Don’t go.” The words were a desperate plea.

She stiffened in my hold, her body rigid as she spoke, “How did you… find me?” She pushed away slowly and I reluctantly let go. But I didn’t let go of her arm.

“Your dad…. he came to my house.” I said. Her eyes widened, a wild, panicked thing, as she moved to grab my face, her hands soft against my skin. “Are you okay? Did he hurt you? Did he do-”

“He didn’t hurt me, Lisichka.” I cut her off softly, my voice reassuring, as I clutched her hand. “He’s the one who told me where you were… he said that if I was serious about you then I should go get you.”

Her eyes widened further like she couldn’t believe my words. “Did he… really say that?” She said with a frown.

“After a tirade of angry back and forths… yes.” I said with a smile, though it was a little crooked. Then I paused and asked, “So… can you please stay? Please don’t go. Don’t leave me.” I said and she stiffened as she tried pulling her hand out of my arm, but this time I didn’t let go as I stared at her pleadingly.

“I can’t, Haider…. we can’t be together.” She said, her voice low, almost defeated.

“Why not?” I asked.

“You… are a human. I’m a vampire.” She answered.

“Isn’t that perfect? You can drink my blood every day.”

“Doesn’t that scare you?” She questioned, looking at me like I was insane.

I frowned. “You drinking my blood?” I asked a little confused. After all, she knew it didn’t scare me, it only turned me on.

She shook her head. “Every day? You’ll get sick of me—”

“I will never get sick of you.” I cut her off, my voice was filled with a deep, powerful conviction.

“I can’t give you any kids.” She said with a shuddering breath, making me freeze up.

I frowned. Was that because she was a vampire? Or was it a disability? Or was it her own choice? No wait, why did that even matter?

“I’m not really interested in kids…. but if you want, we can adopt.” I said, my voice gentle and she seemed startled.

“Haider, you don’t understand this is permanent. You’ll be stuck with me… you don’t-”

“I understand, Lisichka.” I said, my voice firm. “I imprinted on you…. somehow. I don’t understand exactly how, but I know that you feel scared. I won’t…. I can’t abandon you…. Believe it or not, it’s like you’ve etched a part of your essence onto my very soul, a mark that will never fade. So that even when I think of you leaving me, of never being able to see you again, death seems like a better option. You are a part of me now. And I am a part of you.” I finished, hoping she’d finally understand.

Her eyes widened, and she stood silently for a while before asking. “You know?”

“That I have Alpha genes. Yes.” I said.

She pursed her lips, going silent again, her eyes drifting to her suitcase, “You… really won’t regret it?”

“I promise. I will never-” My voice was cut off, when someone gripped my arm and with the force of an army pulled me back.

A gasp escaped Sienna, as she yelled, “Anna?!”

“What the hell do you think you’re doing? How dare youe here.” The voice was a furious growl that was

filled with a deep, powerful disgust. I looked up with a frown to find an older woman wearing business clothes sneering down at me.

I recognized her immediately, Seraphina Legacy, Sienna’s Aunt.

I pursed my lips. “I’m here to take her back.”

She scoffed, a low, defeated thing. “And who gave you the right too?”

“I did.” My head snapped to the side to find Mkai walking towards us. The whole ce bustled around us with asional gawkers, and a security guard approached us, asking Seraphina if everything was okay.

“It’s fine.” She gritted out with a smile. “We are leaving to board the ne. Come on, Sienna.”

My eyes widened. “No.” I said moving forward to grab Sienna but Serpahina pulled her away.

“You can’t force her, sister.” Mkai interjected, and Sienna snapped her head to him, her face a mask of anger, like she wanted to tear him limb to limb. I pursed my lips. How could someone look at their sibling with such hatred?

“You want her to turn out like you?” She sneered. And Mkai stiffened.

But then he took a deep breath and answered, “I don’t. Which is why I want her to make a decision. A decision I couldn’t…. because fate didn’t let me. I lost my wife because of this feud between the Vampires and wolves. I don’t want her to lose her mate because of us.” He said and I felt a wave of surprise wash over me. So…he was taking my side now?

Seraphina scoffed, a low, defeated thing. “You lost your mate because of the wolves, not because of us!”

“If you and father had shown support for me then there was a chance I wouldn’t have lost her, and you know that very well.” His eyes trailed to his daughter, before he spoke, “I distanced myself from my daughter because you advised me too… only now do I realize what a huge mistake I made.” He said.

Seraphina’s eyes widened. “You’re ming me? I wanted the best for you.” Even now her volume was lowered, not loud or booming… but their words. They were filled with cutting emotions.

“No… you wanted what was best for the vampires… you’ve always been like that, sister. You just don’t understand because you’re so used to thinking with your mind and not your heart. You wanted to make Sienna a copy of you, a heartless being. Which is why you’re so against this.” He said and Seraphina stiffened, as she shook her head, “Stop spouting bullshit.” Only now did her voice get louder.

But Mkai’s only grew softer. “Sienna… if you want to leave, then turn around and walk away… no one will stop you. No one will question you or even say a word.” My heart dropped and I looked at her, frozen in ce.

My heart rate picked up as I watched her move…
