Breaking Free from the Ex-Husband
EX Husband 489
Chapter489
She was Beckett’s biggest fan.
Willingly and without anyints, I supported Beckett in every way.
Not only that, in her mind, Beckett and Aedan were her whole life.
That’s also why, for decades, she could handle being alone and didn’t look for men or get married.
Now, hearing that Iris actually said something so “outrageous,” not only going against Beckett, her future father–inw, but also humiliating her son like that.
How could she stand it?
She was instantly burning with anger.
If Iris was there, she would’ve wanted to strangle her on the spot.
In her opinion, Iris supporting Beckett was all benefits and no harm.
But Iris just didn’t support Beckett.
He even humiliated Aedan like that, just treated Aedan like a dog by his side.
That just meant Iris really treated Aedan like a dog and didn’t care about Aedan at all.
Not to mention loving Aedan.
Margaret was so mad she almost coughed up blood.
She got so mad that she totally lost her cool and didn’t care about all her years of nning at all, and just called Aedan right away.
It was alreadyte. On the other end of the phone, Aedan had just finished reading a student’s paper and was getting ready to lie down and sleep.
He saw a call from Margaret, grabbed his phone, and answered
“Mom.”

“Aedan, I’m dying.” Margaret ordered, panting with rage, “You, right now,e back immediately!”
Margaret was really not okay, she did have high blood pressure, and her heart wasn’t doing well either.
So, Aedan didn’t think much and agreed right away.
After he hung up the phone, he didn’t even have time to change out of his pajamas. He just threw a coat over them, didn’t bother to change his shoes, rushed out the door, got in the car, and headed to Margaret’s ce.
It waste at night and everything seemed to be asleep. The street was especially empty, with
almost no cars.
Aedan sped all the way. What usually took half an hour only took him a bit over ten minutes.
But what he totally didn’t expect was, when he rushed into the house, what greeted him was a p from Margaret.
Aedan looked at Margaret in front of him–she looked healthy, and except for the
anger all over her face and in her eyes, there was nothing unusual about her. He was totally stunned.
But Aedan just froze for two seconds, thenughed.
He ran his tongue over the inside of his cheek on the side that got hit and asked casually, “Ms. Valois, what kind of crazy are you pulling this time?”
Since she was little, in other people’s eyes, Margaret was a wless single mom.
Through a lot of hardship, I raised my son Aedan all by myself, dealing with all the messes along the way.
Her appearance was always bright and beautiful, elegant and graceful.
She became someone everyone envied, even more so because of how outstanding her son
was.
Only Aedan knew that, under Beckett’s gaslighting, she was already a messed–up woman.
The inner perversion and desire for control were beyond what most people could imagine.
So, when Aedan was very little, he already wanted to get away from her.
