I pondered briefly on how much I should reveal before deciding to share only information about the magic the Elder Lich had used, excluding my own past. I explained everything from the purpose of the magic's creation to its working principles.

The reason I could do this was that I had slightly misunderstood the magic, causing the memory exchange to be bidirectional instead of unidirectional. During the memory sharing, even the Elder Lich's thoughts flowed into me.
