I tried to speak, but the words just kept swirling in my mouth, dissipating before I could say them. My lips wouldn’t move, and my mind was in such turmoil that it felt like it was about to explode.

I had no idea who this woman was—someone who looked exactly like the Goddess but with an even stronger divine power. I didn’t know what this place was, who the Goddess outside was, or why this woman in front of me was bound in chains.

The woman was leaning against the wall with her arms spread wide, and chains were wrapped around her entire body like a snake, securing her to the walls, floor, and ceiling of the temple.@@novelbin@@

Upon closer inspection, her body was in a terrible state. Her hair was disheveled and had lost its color, and the once pure white dress was now stained with red and black blotches.

"Are you feeling confused?"

A weary smile crossed her face. She seemed to have given up all hope of escaping the chains.

"I can understand your confusion, but there’s no time left, so you need to pull yourself together. Please listen to me. The fact that you found me means... this was all destined to happen. The me outside would have done anything to stop you from finding me."

"Wait a minute. What do you mean by ‘the me outside’?"

The woman silently looked in one direction.

In that spot, the Goddess appeared. She still seemed anxious, glancing nervously between the woman bound in chains and me, with a half-crying expression.
