I couldn't even think about canceling my reservation and ended up booking a melodrama with Priscilla.

Despite the movie starting in just five minutes, only one other seat besides ours was reserved. It almost felt like we had rented out half the theater.

If Priscilla's true identity had been revealed, we could have easily rented the whole place, but neither of us wanted that.

“Yes, you can head right in,” said the theater staff, checking our tickets. They glanced at Priscilla, who was clinging to my arm with an embarrassed expression, and gave me a slightly odd look.

It seemed they thought I was dragging along a reluctant girlfriend. At least they didn’t look at me with disgust, so that was a small mercy.

“I-I was the one who—” Priscilla tried to protest, but I quickly stopped her.

If we left it at that, people might think I was just a weird boyfriend dragging her to this movie. But if Priscilla had continued, we'd both end up looking like perverts.

Even though I’d changed my appearance, I didn’t want to be remembered like that. And frankly, it’s easier for people to forget the first impression rather than the second.

We entered theater 12, with just one minute to spare. Aside from a single person sitting in the front row, the place was completely empty. The woman in the front glanced at us and quickly turned away.@@novelbin@@

Just to be sure, I cast a detection spell—she was just an ordinary person.

“She’s no different from us,” I thought.

To that woman, we were just two weirdos watching what was essentially a soft-core porn flick. And to us, she was just someone watching the same movie alone. No real difference.

We headed to the back row and sat down. I removed my enchanted necklace. After all, the only other person here was sitting too far away to get a proper look at us even if she turned around.

“It’s about to start,” I said.

“...Yeah.”

As usual with these things, the movie didn’t start on time but began 10 minutes later.

"Aah! Ah! Harder!"

And it opened with a bed scene.

Not the kind with subtle moans, but loud, exaggerated sounds meant to be heard by everyone, the actress’s voice echoing shamelessly through the theater.
