"Wild Shark Clan, Prince Xue Sha?"

Hearing this name, Mo Yu froze for a moment before turning around. Behind him stood a large, formidable group.

These individuals exuded a chilling aura of bloodlust. Their gazes were cold and merciless, and their presence revealed extraordinary strength, resembling a highly trained elite force.

Seeing this, Mo Yu frowned, a sense of foreboding rising within him.

Back on Ten Thousand Snake Island, he had killed Kuang Lang, a member of the Wild Shark Clan. Before his death, Kuang Lang claimed to be the son of a prince within the clan.

Whether Mo Yu believed him or not, his actions had shown no hesitation. He had decisively ended Kuang Lang’s life.

Now, with the Prince Xue Sha sending people to detain him, could it be they had connected the dots and suspected him?

"Young man, stop stalling! Let me make it clear: not long ago, the life flame of Kuang Lang, the beloved son of the Prince Xue Sha, was extinguished on Ten Thousand Snake Island. Because of this, everyone who emerged from the island must undergo personal inspection by the prince.

Even the Xuan Clan and the Scaled Armor Clan have cooperated fully. If you don’t move now, we’ll suspect you as the culprit behind Kuang Lang’s death, and we’ll arrest or even execute you on the spot!"

The voice came from a tall, scarred middle-aged man with an imposing aura, his tone harsh.

As the captain of the Prince Xue Sha’s guards, he understood the prince’s fury over losing his son. Thus, he carried out his duties with utmost seriousness, leaving no room for error.

Hearing this, Mo Yu’s expression darkened. As expected, this was indeed because he had killed Kuang Lang.

"What about the Shui Clan?" Mo Yu asked, glancing around with a sinking feeling.

"They’ve been invited to the Wild Shark Clan’s camp. Of course, we haven’t harmed them," the guard captain replied coldly. "However, if you don’t come back with us to prove your innocence, even if you’re from Central Plains, our Wild Shark Clan will relentlessly hunt you down.

Not just you—your Shui Clan companions and that Dou Zun who accompanies you will join you in hell!"

Hearing these words, a glint of coldness flashed in Mo Yu’s silver eyes.

Although his current strength allowed him to easily shake off this small squad, escaping would put the Shui Clan and Qing Zhi in a hopeless situation.

Thinking of this, Mo Yu’s expression shifted before he spoke gravely, "Fine, I’ll go with you.

But if I find that the Shui Clan or Qing Zhi suffers any harm, even if it’s your Wild Shark Clan, I’ll make you pay a heavy price!"

The guard captain was briefly stunned. From Mo Yu’s calm demeanor, he sensed a subtle yet unshakable presence, making him hesitate for a moment.

Shaking his head, the captain snorted coldly, "We’re only here to investigate Kuang Lang’s death. We don’t kill innocents unnecessarily.

But you’d better pray his death has nothing to do with you. Otherwise, the prince’s wrath isn’t something you can bear!"

Mo Yu narrowed his silver eyes but said no more. He followed the squad while formulating plans for what was to come.

The Wild Shark Clan’s camp wasn’t far. After walking for about ten minutes, a massive encampment resembling a palace came into view.

The exterior of the camp was shaped like an enormous shark, its blood-red hue radiating an ominous and terrifying presence.

Elite guards patrolled its perimeter, and Mo Yu could sense powerful concealed auras lurking in the shadows.

"So this is the might of the Prince Xue Sha..." Mo Yu murmured to himself, his heart tensing slightly.

As the one who had killed Kuang Lang, stepping into this place felt like a lamb entering a lion’s den. It was unlikely this would end peacefully.

Even so, Mo Yu felt no regret.

Kuang Lang had attempted to reap the spoils of others’ battles. If Mo Yu hadn’t been strong enough, he would have fallen victim to Kuang Lang’s schemes. With his temperament, he would never show mercy in such situations.

Though he now walked into the tiger’s den, Mo Yu’s current strength meant even the Prince Xue Sha wouldn’t necessarily be able to defeat him.

"Reporting to the prince! The eighth individual from Ten Thousand Snake Island, Mo Yu of the Shui Clan, has been brought!"

The guard captain knelt respectfully about a hundred meters from the encampment and announced in a loud voice.

"Oh? Bring him in!"

A stern and furious voice echoed from within the camp. The sheer authority in the voice revealed the overwhelming presence of the Prince Xue Sha, one of the Southern Sea’s most powerful figures.

At the same time, Mo Yu’s vigilance heightened to its peak.

If not for the Shui Clan and Qing Zhi being under the Wild Shark Clan’s control, Mo Yu would have left without a second thought, disregarding the Prince Xue Sha entirely.

Even if he faced relentless pursuit, once he returned to Central Plains, no sea beast clan could trouble him.

As Mo Yu followed the guard captain into the camp, his senses were immediately flooded with a suffocating sense of danger.

His sharp gaze quickly locked onto a man seated at the center of the hall.

This man was tall and appeared to be in his forties or fifties. A small black beard adorned his chin, and he wore a blood-red robe decorated with intricate shark patterns. From a distance, the patterns seemed to flow like living creatures, emanating a faint divine might.

Though his aura appeared weaker than the guard captain’s, Mo Yu’s exceptional soul perception detected an overwhelming sense of danger from him. Even Xuan Guang Zun Zhe had not given him such a feeling.

"So this is the Prince Xue Sha of the Wild Shark Clan. Judging by his aura, he must be at the peak of the two-star Dou Zun stage, just a step away from becoming a three-star Dou Zun," Mo Yu thought, his silver eyes narrowing.

As Mo Yu scrutinized the prince, the latter coldly observed him, a crushing pressure rolling off him like the depths of the ocean.

"Ten Thousand Snake Island is usually open for only two months. Why did you leave so late? Could it be guilt holding you back?" the Prince Xue Sha demanded, his gaze fierce with grief and anger.

When his son’s soul lamp extinguished, the Prince Xue Sha felt as if his heart had been torn apart. He refused to believe his son had died at the hands of the island’s captive beasts. Thus, he immediately suspected the other nine individuals who had entered the island.

Apart from the Crown Prince Jiao, Mo Yu was the only one yet to be personally interrogated.

Hearing this, Mo Yu frowned slightly. Although he had killed Kuang Lang, his delayed departure had been due to protecting Snake Uncle.

"I accepted an inheritance on Ten Thousand Snake Island, which delayed me. What, does the Prince Xue Sha concern himself even with this?" Mo Yu replied coolly.

Hearing Mo Yu’s explanation, the Prince Xue Sha furrowed his brow slightly, but he still said in a deep voice, "Words alone are not enough. I need your essence blood to verify whether you are the one who killed my son!"

"Essence blood?" Upon hearing the Prince Xue Sha’s demand, Mo Yu frowned slightly. However, he didn’t immediately refuse and instead replied gravely, "Fine, but I need to first ensure the safety of the Shui Clan and Qing Zhi."

The Prince Xue Sha casually waved his hand and said, "Bring the Shui Clan members here."

He had detained the Shui Clan and Qing Zhi merely to prevent Mo Yu from escaping; they were not intended as hostages. As a dignified prince of the Wild Shark Clan and a peak two-star Dou Zun expert, he disdained resorting to such underhanded tactics against someone as young as Mo Yu.

Upon receiving the order, the captain of the guards respectfully withdrew. Shortly afterward, dozens of people entered the grand hall.

Leading the group were the Shui sisters, along with Shui Cang and other members of the Shui Clan. Qing Zhi was also among them, though his aura was noticeably weak.

"Are you all alright?" Seeing them, Mo Yu’s expression shifted, and he hurriedly stepped forward to ask.

"We’re fine," the Shui sisters replied, their delicate faces lighting up with joy at the sight of Mo Yu. However, their expressions soon dimmed as they continued, "But Elder Qing Zhi was seriously injured by the Prince Xue Sha not long ago."

Hearing this, Mo Yu’s heart sank. He turned to look at Qing Zhi, only to see a sunken chest and a dull complexion.

"It’s alright, young master. With the nurturing of the Frost Spirit Silve Thunder, I’ve recovered significantly," Qing Zhi said, shaking his head.

Though possessing some sentience, Qing Zhi was still a puppet and had a slightly different constitution compared to ordinary Dou Zun experts.

If it had been a typical one-star Dou Zun, they would likely have been critically injured or killed by the Prince Xue Sha’s attack. Qing Zhi, however, was able to gradually heal under the nourishment of the Frost Spirit Silver Thunder and although it is a sub-thunder.

"Enough chatter! I only care about finding out who killed my son!" The Prince Xue Sha’s face darkened as he interrupted their conversation. His blood-red eyes turned toward Mo Yu, and he said in a low voice, "Hand over your essence blood. If you are not the one who killed Lang’er, I will let you all go and even offer an apology. But if his death is connected to you..."

At this point, a chilling murderous intent flickered in his crimson eyes. The sheer pressure would make even a typical one-star Dou Zun tremble in fear.

"Even if you have strong backing in Central Plains, you won’t leave the Southern Sea alive!"

Faced with such threatening words, Mo Yu’s silver eyes narrowed slightly. Although he wasn’t sure how the Prince Xue Sha intended to find proof of his involvement in Kuang Lang’s death, he knew that refusing now would only arouse greater suspicion.

At this moment, he decided to take a gamble and see if he could bluff his way through.

While Mo Yu pondered, the Shui Clan members exchanged glances with him. During their captivity, they had learned about the Prince Xue Sha’s wrath. With his only son dead on Ten Thousand Snake Island, the domineering prince would stop at nothing to find the culprit.

They never imagined that Mo Yu might be the perpetrator. All they could hope for was that the verification process would pass without incident, and they could leave safely.

Only Shui Muxue, watching Mo Yu’s ever-changing expression, had an ominous feeling in her heart.

"Boy, hurry up! Or do you want me to act myself?" The Prince Xue Sha’s blood-red eyes narrowed as he pressed further.

Under the prince’s mounting pressure, Mo Yu’s expression shifted several times before he finally bit his finger. A drop of crimson blood emerged and floated in front of the Prince Xue Sha.

Taking the essence blood, the prince stood up abruptly. With a wave of his hand, another dark red drop of blood emerged.

Mo Yu glanced at the blood. It was dark red with a faint trace of green when observed closely. Seeing this, Mo Yu’s thoughts stirred. This blood likely belonged to Kuang Lang, left with the Prince Xue Sha before he went to Ten Thousand Snake Island. Now, it served as a clue to track down the murderer.

After obtaining Mo Yu’s essence blood, the Prince Xue Sha’s face darkened further. His hands formed a series of mysterious seals, and the drop of Kuang Lang’s blood traced intricate symbols in the air. The prince then flung the symbols onto Mo Yu’s essence blood, enveloping it in a red glow.

As the red light engulfed his essence blood, Mo Yu felt a strange energy probing it, as if his secrets were being laid bare.

Simultaneously, Kuang Lang’s blood began to tremble violently, as if it had encountered something terrifying.

Seeing this, the Prince Xue Sha’s expression grew even darker. The oppressive atmosphere in the hall intensified.

Noticing the shift, the Shui Clan members’ faces also changed. They glanced nervously at Mo Yu, their eyes filled with unspoken questions and growing fear.

Could Kuang Lang really have been killed by Mo Yu? If so, he had slain the Prince Xue Sha’s only son!

Despite maintaining a calm exterior, Mo Yu’s heart was heavy. He sensed that his plan to bluff his way through might not work.

The red glow continued to scan Mo Yu’s essence blood until, abruptly, the Prince Xue Sha opened his mouth and swallowed both drops of blood, along with the runes. A crimson light dove into his body.

After this, the prince remained silent, closing his eyes as though perceiving something.

The tension in the room was palpable. Everyone watched as the Prince Xue Sha’s face became increasingly grim.

Noticing this, Mo Yu’s silver eyes narrowed slightly, and his hands tightened into fists.

Suddenly, the prince’s eyes snapped open. He stared at Mo Yu with boundless hatred, and a roar like thunder erupted throughout the island.

"Guards! Seize this brat! I will carve this murderer of my son into a thousand pieces!"
