Luo Yimeng smiled as she explained, “Awakened Skill—you’ve probably never heard of it. Once a player collects four Awakening Crystal Shards, they can awaken their potential and obtain an Awakened Skill. It’s essentially a powerful ultimate move, one that grants players real strength to stand against the paranormal.”

“The crystal you're holding can temporarily activate that power.”

“W-Wait a second! Awakened Skill?!”

Bai Wan froze, wide-eyed.

What the hell!! You should’ve told me that earlier!!

If he actually triggered his Awakened Skill right now…

This whole city was done for!

He immediately tried to yank his hand away, but the crystal was stuck to his palm like glue. It wouldn't budge.

Seeing the nervous look on his face, Luo Yimeng couldn’t help but laugh a little. “Relax. The room we’re in is designed to suppress Awakened Skills. At most, only a third of your power can be unleashed. You don’t have to worry about your skill going—”

She didn’t even finish her sentence when—

A blinding white light exploded from Bai Wan's body. And then…

“Huh?”

BOOM!!!

In an instant, every wall reinforced to suppress Awakened Skills was obliterated. And along with it, everything above this floor.

CRACK!! BOOM!!

The entire headquarters tower collapsed—everything except for the floor Bai Wan stood on, and the ones below it—reduced to rubble and dust.

Now, Bai Wan and the others were standing in what looked like an open-air plaza.

A gust of wind swept straight through, blowing against the stunned faces of Luo Yimeng and Zhao Jie. They looked up at the now-exposed sky above and instinctively froze in shock, mentally unplugged .

Then, an invisible field burst outward, expanding across the entire city.

Whoosh!

And just like that—The Error Code domain was fully deployed.

The whole city began spiraling into chaos.

WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH!!!

An old man lying in the sun opened his eyes wide in horror.

The once-normal sun overhead… had turned into a baby’s face. It grinned at him.

He nearly had a heart attack.

“It's—It’s the Teletubbies!!” his grandson screamed beside him.

At a funeral.

A middle-aged man knelt before a framed photo of his mother, dressed in mourning robes. He sobbed as he kowtowed:

“Rest easy, Mom… from now on, I’ll work hard, never gamble again, stop drinking… I’ll take care of my wife and live like a proper man.”

The guests around him nodded with heartfelt sympathy. Old Zhang only had this one son. The boy had always been a screw-up—maybe now he was finally growing up.

His aging father clapped him on the shoulder. “Good, son. Time for a fresh start.”

“Yes… from this day forward, I promise I won’t let Mom down again!”

Just then, another sobbing sound came from the photo. Everyone instinctively turned their heads—and froze in fear.

The woman in the photo had started crying.

“Waaahhh… my good son, you’ve finally grown up!!”

Guests: “……”

Father: “……”

Son: “……Ma?”

Chaos.

Chaos everywhere.

People stared in terror at the tops of buildings, where bizarre creatures now roamed the streets.

One gigantic monster, moth-like in shape, spotted a human and lifted a massive foot, ready to stomp. If that landed, the person would be pulp.

A girl froze in despair, certain death was seconds away.

In that moment—FLASH!

The monster was kicked sky-high.

A giant Ultraman landed in front of her.

She stared blankly. “There really is… light in this world…”

And then, Ultraman began duking it out with the moth monster.

BANG BANG BANG!!

Skyscrapers nearby toppled. Homes crushed like matchsticks. The city looked like a warzone out of hell.

All over the city, Para-Hunters rushed out in shock.

“What’s going on?! Did an unsolvable-class entity breach reality?!”

They stood frozen, horrified by the utter madness around them. Some rookies' legs gave out entirely.

“What the hell is happening?!”

“Wait! Look—what’s that in the sky?!”

One of them pointed upward.

“Holy—!”

They all looked up and saw people in the sky—dozens of them. One of them had the character “悟” taped to his back. The others were dressed similarly.

“Is that… Son Goku? Piccolo??” The hunters stared, dumbfounded.

That was clearly the cast of Dragon Ball.

Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Krillin, Master Roshi—they had all surrounded an orange-haired man with spiral eyes, draped in black robes.

Then that man slowly levitated upward, crossed his arms, and coldly intoned:

“Itami o kanjiro, itami o kangaero…Koko yori...sekai ni itamiyo.”

“...No…” The hunters were hit by a sudden realization of terror.

“SHINRA TENSEI!!”

“What the hell?! RUN!!” the hunters screamed.

And then, the orange guy exploded.

BOOOOM!!!

A shockwave blasted Goku and the others flying—and took several innocent hunters with it.

CRACKKK!! A massive vacuum zone had opened up.

Even Ultraman was caught in the blast.

WHAM!

The explosion sent Diga Ultraman flying.

BOOM!!

He crashed into buildings below, burying entire blocks.

“Beep beep—ding-dong ding-dong—”

He staggered back up, hand on the ground. The light on his chest began blinking red, flashing urgently.

Several Para-Hunters, barely holding on, looked to the sky in horror.

What in god’s name is happening to this city?!

Before they could even breathe a sigh of relief, a horrifying sight stopped them cold—countless tiny black specks were slowly descending from the sky, growing larger and larger before their eyes.

Up in the air, Pain was still striking a dramatic pose, arms crossed and motionless in full stylish flair. It wasn’t until he heard something stirring above him that he looked up in confusion.

And then, to his shock, he saw meteor after meteor crashing down from above.

Wait a minute… I didn’t cast my Chibaku Tensei…

“Chotto matte!!”

BOOM!!!

BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!

A dazzling meteor shower blanketed Longbei City. One after another, they slammed down. A third of the city was reduced to steaming craters.

Even Pain got pancaked too.

The Para-Hunters summoned every power they had just to hold the line, their faces pale. Then suddenly, one of them dropped to his knees, trembling as he pointed skyward.

Everyone else looked up.

What they saw made their souls leave their bodies.

A giant meteor, larger than half the city, was plummeting toward them.

Whroooo…

More and more hunters fell to their knees.

“It’s too much… It’s too damn much!”

“Is Longbei City… finished?!”
