Chapter 68 - Second Kill by Lightning, Forum in Uproar, Another Highlight Moment!

Brilliant flashes of lightning engulfed the scene. Each thunderous strike seemed to crash not just into Zhou Sen, but straight into the hearts of everyone watching.

Crack—boom—crack!

Lightning continued to fall for several long seconds before the storm clouds finally dispersed.

The area around Zhou Sen was left scorched and cratered. Although the lightning had ceased, crackling arcs of electricity still danced along the ground.

Watching Zhou Sen lying motionless, Chu Mo (MissZombie) and the others couldn’t help but suck in a sharp breath. No one said a word.

Then Zhou Sen twitched slightly.

That genuinely surprised Bai Wan. As expected of "Blank"—his durability was no joke. He must've used some kind of paranormal artifact to defend himself. Still, judging by the state he was in, Zhou Sen wasn’t far from death either.

Zhou Sen barely turned his gaze to Bai Wan, his face still frozen in a daze.

W-What just happened...?

He only remembered a numb, electrifying sensation before blacking out entirely. As he felt his life ebbing away, terror overtook his expression.

I... I'm dying.

Then he saw Bai Wan gazing down at him with mock pity.

“You’ve lost... Itachi. Right now, my eyes see farther than yours ever did.”

Zhou Sen: “…”

At that moment, he finally realized why this bastard kept calling him Itachi in the cafeteria. His final thought before death was:

This guy is seriously memeing even now?!

And then he died.

The entire scene fell into an awkward silence.

Yang Yujie and Chu Mo had both drawn their paranormal weapons and now stared at each other, unsure what to do. Li Wei—who had been mid-charge—was stuck in a wide-legged stance, frozen in place like he’d just been caught lunging into a squat.

What the f*ck!? Should we still fight?

What just happened?! The battle has yet to even begin, and the team leader got one-shot already?

Thinking back to that massive lightning strike, everyone looked pale. If that had landed on them instead of Zhou Sen, wouldn’t they be the ones lying charred on the ground now?

Even though it was obvious this was one of Bai Wan’s ultimate moves—likely with a long cooldown—no one dared take the risk. The sheer shock of “Raiton, Kirin” had shaken them to their core.

Meanwhile, Jiang Wanfeng and Li Bing’er could only stare in stunned awe, then relief. That thunderous display had been like witnessing a god descend to earth.

Thank goodness we’re on the same team as him.

Just as the villains were hesitating, unsure whether to press on, the school’s electricity suddenly came back online.

Bzzt—

The surveillance systems reactivated. None of the players could make a move now.

For some reason, even Yang Yujie and the others breathed a sigh of relief.

Erm… Now that the cameras are back up, I guess…we’ll spare him—for now? Tch, what dumb luck he has…

With surveillance restored, everyone slipped back into their roles as friendly classmates.

“Waaah, that lightning just now was amazing. Sasuke-kun, you’ve really leveled up,” MissZombie Chu Mo said with admiration.

“Yeah, yeah, that lightning move? I give it a 10 out of 10,” Yang Yujie chimed in.

“Alright everyone, we’ve had our little walk. Time to head back to the dorms for a rest, don’t you think?”

“Mmm-mmm. I’m a ghost who absolutely needs a nap at noon. If I don’t, I’ve got no energy to eat people in the afternoon.”

“Same here, let’s all head back together!”

And so, a group of supposedly murderous ghost students casually chatted and walked back to their dorms together—leaving Zhou Sen’s scorched corpse lying peacefully in the woods.

At that very moment, the forums exploded again.

Everyone had been more than satisfied with the first highlight clip where Bai Wan erased the classroom door. They’d felt like camping the forum had been totally worth it. No one had expected a second highlight moment to come so soon.

But just like that, another video dropped—titled simply:

Raiton, Kirin.

Every player blinked in confusion.

What kind of title is this? Did the system mix up with some Naruto spin-off?

This dungeon is Nightmare Haunted Campus, not Konoha Village…

Curious, they clicked the video—and their jaws collectively dropped.

Onscreen, a calm young man stood tall amidst a dark forest. With a slight downward swing of his arm, he said flatly:

“Raiton, Kirin.”

Countless meme-loving players had opened the video hoping for laughs—but what they got made them choke on their snacks.

“Holy shit!!!”

“Holy shit!!!”

“Holy shit!!!”

“...”

The collective IQ of the forum plummeted. All high-tier vocabulary seemed to vanish, sealed away by the sheer absurdity of what they were witnessing. Only one phrase remained usable: Holy shit—the eternal free-to-use expletive.

A glorious tsunami of “Holy shit” washed across the thread like synchronized national chanting.

“Dude, that really was Kirin! Is this guy hacking?!”

“Look at that thunder dragon! Jesus Christ, that's terrifying!”

“That’s gotta be one of the strongest attacks I’ve ever seen. Zhou Sen—Blank himself—just got one-shot?”

“Damn… we were expecting an epic duel between the two… but Bai Wan just dropped a Spirit Bomb on him mid-Kamehameha! What the hell??”

“Yo bro! Wrong anime!”

Post after post flooded in as everyone began dissecting the absurdity of Bai Wan’s Kirin.

“That move’s broken as hell. Unless you’re a veteran, you’re done. No way any rookie survives that.”

“Wait, was that a personal skill or a paranormal artifact? Did… did a human just cast Kirin for real?? Show us the way, Kishimoto-sensei!”

“It’s gotta be a skill. Paranormal items always come with spooky effects, but that lightning effect was too righteous.”

“So let me get this straight—his first skill makes doors vanish… and his second is Kirin. What kind of cursed skill tree is this?!”

At this point, the whole player base was chattering nonstop about Bai Wan.

Meanwhile, in a dark, secluded room, several wanted criminals had gathered. All of them had past connections with Zhou Sen.

The man at the head of the group wore a grim expression. “Zhou Sen… is actually dead.”

“That Bai Wan… his potential is terrifying. We can’t let him grow any stronger,” another shadowy figure muttered, clearly worried.

There were already four terrifying squad captains in the officials. If a fifth one emerged, their lives as fugitives would only become harder.

“We have to find a way to eliminate him...”

“This kid must be taken out—he’s a ticking time bomb.”

“Can you idiots stop saying stuff like that? Every villain who says those lines ends up dead.”

“…”

Just then, the leader received a message. His expression shifted slightly, then brightened.

“No need to panic. That person has decided to act.”

The others immediately lit up.

“If that one’s making a move… Bai Wan is doomed.”

“Hey! Shut it! I just said stop jinxing it! You trying to get them killed now?!”

God, these cliche spouting villains are gonna be the death of us all…

After being shocked by Bai Wan’s sheer power for a while, the forums swiftly returned to their usual goofy chaos.

“Zhou Sen: Ah… my foolish otouto. Hate me, curse me, and then smite me with lightning.”

“Zhou Sen: Forgive me, Bai Wan. This was… our final dungeon together.”

Blank's demise delighted the masses. The community launched into a festive outpouring of celebratory Naruto memes and virtual confetti.

While the forum burned with activity, Bai Wan returned to his dormitory building. Compared to human dorms, the walls here were plastered with disturbingly bloody artwork.

One painting depicted a ghost feasting on a pile of humans, their mangled bodies arranged to form the character “诡” (paranormal).

Bai Wan’s lips twitched at the sight. This place is seriously messed up…

Following the system’s prompt, he arrived at his assigned dorm room, opened the door, and then—

He froze.

Because inside wasn’t a dorm at all. It was a bathroom.

And standing there in blue pajamas, humming a tune while brushing her teeth, was a white-haired girl.

She turned, blinking in confusion as the door creaked open… and upon seeing Bai Wan, her toothbrush slipped from her fingers.

Clatter—
