Bug Abuse? I Swear I'm Just Playing Normally!
Chapter 71 - Awakening—Bug Overwrites the Paranormal Campus, Let the Nuking Begin!
Sszzzztt! The scorching heat visibly warped the air.
Over eighty ghost students stared grimly at the sky.
“Holy shit!!”
“Run!!”
But it was too late. Those terrifying fire-laced meteor peas came crashing down.
Whooshhh—BOOM!! BOOM!! BOOM!!
Ghostflame peas rained into the crowd, igniting screams as the ghost students were set ablaze in eerie blue flames. The entire horde was engulfed, ghostflame spreading in waves of unnatural light. Some of the entities were blasted directly off their feet, flying back from the explosive force.
BOOM!! BOOM!! BOOM!!
Even more despairing was the sight of a never-ending barrage of ghostflame peas still hurtling toward them.
And soon, quantity became quality. As the ghostflame stacked up to ten layers, a devastating explosion erupted.
KABOOM!!
A dazzling blue flame burst forth—this was the passive skill of the Ghostflame Wall-nut: Ghostflame Explosion. Once ten stacks were reached, it triggered an explosive detonation.
And with so many peas flooding the field, stacks maxed out instantly. One after another, ghostflame bombs ignited across the campus.
KABOOM!
KABOOM!
KABOOM!
Staring at the sky filled with ghostflame, the headless PE teacher was dumbfounded. Never before had she seen such a catastrophe. She couldn’t help but shout, “No bullying your classmates!!”
But the only response she received was a volley of incoming fire from the heavens.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Even the headless teacher was struck by the waves of flaming peas, howling in pain. The ghostflame, far from ordinary, had lethal potency even against paranormal entities.
The whole place had devolved into chaos. From afar, more paranormal students were rushing over—some led by ghost teachers—likely the sixth wave. But with the PE teacher buried under ghostflame peas, no one was keeping count anymore.
Watching the reinforcements swarm in, Bai Wan stood tall without fear. He summoned two more Peashooter Fountains! The barrage intensified into pure insanity.
Bai Wan stood at the center of the stadium, raising his hand solemnly.
“I cast Volcanic Meteor Storm.”
Three Peashooter Fountains rotated in a full 360-degree spread, launching fire on all sides at the oncoming ghosts. With the ghostflame amplifying them, the peas were all wreathed in that terrible blue fire.
Then came a scene to behold.
Like the end of the world, fireballs—molten and unrelenting, rained down over the entire campus.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!!!
Students and teachers weren’t the only ones hit—classroom windows shattered, trees and flowers combusted on contact.
In seconds, the entire school was consumed in flames.
Some ghost students didn’t even make it halfway before they were struck down by ghostflame peas and bombarded into submission. Once they hit ten stacks of ghostflame, the explosions ripped them apart.
KABOOM!
The students shut down completely, lying still on the ground.
Paranormal entities, once incapacitated like this, could take years to revive—almost indistinguishable from human death.
Bai Wan had intentionally spared Su Yuening and others from the hailstorm. But for Yang Yujie and her crew, it was a different story.
They scrambled, diving for cover. Even though Bai Wan wasn’t specifically targeting them, one stray shot could finish them instantly. They’d seen what happened to the ghosts—blasted into oblivion before they could even scream.
“Shit…this is too terrifying… Easily as bad as that thunderbolt earlier!” Yang Yujie’s voice trembled.
The entire spectacle was beyond belief. It was like doomsday—if doomsday were directed by Bai Wan. It was even more horrifying than the earlier lightning attack. And this time… it was AOE.
“He… he’s really trying to burn the school down…” Chu Mo was stunned to the point of numbness.
This is one man against the entire paranormal campus? Is he really just a rookie?
No… he is a monster.
Jiang Wanfeng stared, mouth agape.
I’m not even remotely close to his level. Is this really someone who’d only cleared three dungeons like the rest of us?
Even Su Yuening was a little stunned.
Good grief… Bai Wan just keeps getting stronger… Taking on the entire Nightmare Haunted Campus alone? At this rate, only the four HQ squad captains might be able to take him down.
In the flames, several powerful ghost teachers began to force their way through. The one-eyed homeroom teacher emerged from the inferno.
Sssszzzzttt!
An oppressive ghastly aura radiated off her. Compared to others, she was on a whole different tier. Just from her one-shotting Wu Di before, it was obvious. The one-eyed teacher was far beyond your average NPC.
But Bai Wan wasn’t afraid. He recklessly swung his hammer straight at her.
SWISH! His Whirlwind Hammer Style lashed out at the teacher.
Her expression darkened. With a single raised hand, she caught the hammer mid-air.
THUMP!
Bai Wan’s smug face changed slightly, his homeroom teacher was indeed tough.
“Disobedient students deserve to be punished…” she said coldly, reaching for him.
Just as she was about to touch him, Bai Wan jumped—shoulder checking in midair and with a shimmer of Kun-shaped aura, dodged the strike.
Whoosh!
Kun Flash, baby.
The one-eyed teacher blinked in confusion as Bai Wan broke into a dance.
“Dun dun dun—One-eyed teacher, you’re too beautiful! Dun dun dun—One-eyed teacher, you’re too hot!”
Clink! A few Paranormal Coins were forcefully dropped from her.
Seeing Bai Wan bouncing around like that, the teacher exploded with fury and charged again.
But by now, Bai Wan had activated his skill: Kun Flash. For a period of time, he could dodge almost anything with near 100% success. Thus, he and the one-eyed teacher began a game of ring-around-the-rosy.
She was strong, no doubt, but Bai Wan wasn’t here to trade blows. He glanced at the timer—his special Awakening Crystal cooldown was nearly done. He just had to stall a bit longer.
Then the whole school started to shake. A massive hand emerged from underground, reaching for Bai Wan.
SHINK SHINK!
His expression turned grim—the ghost hand sealed his movements. He couldn’t move—this terrifying hand had paralyzed him completely!
The one-eyed teacher smiled cruelly. “You’re finished. The Principal has arrived.”
Hiss…
Another giant hand reached for his head, as if ready to pop it like a grape.
Then—SHOOM!
A blue light flashed in front of Bai Wan.
Su Yuening had arrived in the nick of time. She held a single chicken feather in her hand and stabbed it into the giant hand.
CLANG!
The fragile-looking feather blocked the giant ghost hand’s strike. It was the title skill of the Chicken Feather Assassin—capable of blocking one attack without taking damage. Usable once every six hours, up to three times per dungeon.
Bai Wan looked on, amazed.
“Damn, you really did learn Bankai?”
“Are you seriously cracking jokes at a time like this?” Su Yuening snapped. “That Principal is no joke—I can only block one hit!”
Whoosh!
The hand struck again. Su Yuening was helpless—her title skill had already been used.
But Bai Wan grinned.
“It’s fine. Because now…”
“…it’s time for the real nuke.”
Right before the hand landed—his awakening crystal came off cooldown.
BOOM!
A blinding white light exploded outward, bursting across the campus.
Error Code, the unsolvable skill, swept through the entire school.
The nuclear purge has begun.
