“Run! Don’t get caught in the range of the white hair attacks, or you’re dead meat!”

Yang Yujie and the others struggled to survive amidst the chaos of the ruined campus.

Their journey had been pure hell. Random wild monsters kept ambushing them, forcing them into turn-based battles. While dodging paranormal students, they also had to watch out for white hair falling from the sky.

And as time went on, the distortion within the campus grew worse and worse.

At that moment, they watched in horror as a figure slowly approached them. A dark cloud hovered above his head, constantly zapping him with lightning.

Crackle! Crackle!

Despite being charred like overcooked meat, he kept muttering to himself: “I’m definitely claiming that Family’s head. No one can stop me—Zhou Sen is invincible! Blank is unbeatable!”

What the hell?!

Watching the fully-blackened Zhou Sen hobble toward them while still getting struck by lightning, everyone’s eyes went wide.

Bro, you look like burnt roadkill and you’re still talking about being invincible?!

Even in death, Zhou Sen continued getting struck by lightning. The others felt a mix of sympathy... and dread. Because right now, Zhou Sen looked terrifying—like a zombie that had crawled up from hell.

As he charged forward with thunder crackling all around him, Yang Yujie panicked and shouted: “Itachi! The one who killed you was Uchiha “Family”, not us! Don’t attack your own teammates!!”

“Let’s get away from him! He’s clearly lost consciousness!”

Li Wei grew increasingly alarmed as the dark cloud above Zhou Sen’s head swelled, thunder rumbling louder and more frequently.

Rumble… rumble…The cloud expanded rapidly—ten meters… a hundred meters… and lightning started falling like rain.

Zhou Sen stood in the middle of it all, like a thunder god descending to Earth.

Nearby paranormal students were all caught and paralyzed by the storm. Surrounding buildings crumbled one after another.

BOOM! BOOM!!

Even Bai Wan drew in a sharp breath when he saw Zhou Sen.

Holy crap, is this guy going Super Saiyan?!

Chu Mo and the others bolted, terrified of getting chased by Uchiha “Blank” Itachi—Thor Edition.

But as they ran, they found themselves blocked by a swarm of ghost students ahead. They were stuck—nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.

One of the ghost students charged right at Chu Mo. She pulled out a paranormal artifact, ready to go down swinging—

But then, a strange sound echoed from the sky. Everyone looked up—and froze.

Dark specks, densely packed, were falling from the sky.

“Is… is that a meteor shower??” Li Wei exclaimed.

Yang Yujie squinted, confused, “No… no, wait…those are…bears???”

Chu Mo: “???”

Sure enough, one after another, black bears fell from the sky.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! The ghost students in front of them were instantly flattened by the falling bears.

Then, across the entire city—black bears started to appear out of nowhere. The Boonie Bears…were coming.

Miss Chu Mo’s expression twisted, and then she screamed at the top of her lungs:

“AAAAAAHHHH!!!! HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO SAY THIS?! MY NAME ISN’T BEAR!!! WHERE THE HELL ARE ALL THESE BEARS COMING FROM?!!”

She’d rather be killed by paranormal entities than be saved by a bunch of bears! Chu Mo was in complete mental collapse.

But the one who was truly devastated—was the ghostly principal.

After getting blown up and scorched by countless bombs, it stood dazed in the middle of the street, staring blankly at the sight before it.

One half of the school was now covered in thunderclouds—bolts raining down, buildings shredded. The other half? Flooded with rampaging black bears. And even more were still falling from the sky.

The ghost principal rubbed its eyes in disbelief.

What… the actual hell is going on?

Looking at its once-proud haunted campus turning into Bear-Bear Academy, the principal’s mind began to blur. It couldn’t help but wonder—

Is my Nightmare Haunted Campus… done for?

And just then, everyone—ghost principal, ghost teachers, ghost students, and all players, suddenly heard a bizarre voice echo from the sky:

“You insolent monkey! Reflect your actions inside my furnace!”

“Ha! You senile geezer! In your dreams! A lousy furnace can’t trap me!”

Moments later—BANG! BANG! It sounded like the furnace had been knocked over.

Upon hearing that, everyone’s heart skipped a beat.

Yang Yujie and the others stared up at the sky, mouths twitching in dread. Even Bai Wan’s eyes widened as he looked upward.

No… no way…

Then—The sky turned red, like it had been set ablaze by the fires of the apocalypse.

Flames descended from the heavens. The air turned scorching hot, as if everyone had been thrown into a real burning furnace.

Whooooh!

The inferno crashed down onto the school. Everything was set on fire.

The Celestial Court had unleashed its heavenly flames.

BOOM!

Everyone—paranormals, humans, everything, was swallowed by the fire.

“It’s over… It’s Flame Mountain!!” Yang Yujie and the others were pale with fear. The last thing they expected was to be burned alive by the flames of a celestial furnace. That was the legendary fire of Flame Mountain!

Even Bai Wan was stunned—his face frozen awkwardly.

W-Wait a second… Can I survive this?! Oh crap!! Please no!!!

Su Yuening was nearly in tears, barely holding back as she screamed at Bai Wan:

“BAI WAN! THIS IS THE LAST, ABSOLUTE FINAL TIME I’M EVER BEING FRIENDS WITH YOU!!! IF I SURVIVE THIS, WE’RE DONE!!! DONE, YOU HEAR ME?!”

The bugged products in the sky—Gold, Silver, and White “Su Yuenings”—also shouted in unison: “We’re done!! We’re done!!”

Just when everyone was at the brink of despair—

The flames vanished. All the anomalies—black bears, titans, stand users, chaos—disappeared as if they had never been. Even Zhou Sen collapsed to the ground.

Bai Wan blinked in confusion, then saw the Awakening Crystal in his hand had shattered. The awakened skill… was over.

He slumped to the ground, looking immensely relieved.

Whew…That was close. Good thing the crystal’s effect ended when it did…

Su Yuening and the rest nearly collapsed as well, eyes full of gratitude and hope.

We—we’re alive?!

The atmosphere was… strange.

The haunted school no longer had a single building left intact. It looked like a battlefield after a war. No—calling it that would be an insult to actual battlefields. This place was nothing but rubble and ash.

Even the ghost students and teachers had stopped attacking. Now ghosts and humans stared at each other silently… awkwardly… peacefully. There’s no school left. What’s the point of fighting anymore?

After several seconds of quiet, Bai Wan spotted his P.E. teacher—the headless ghost—standing not far from him.

“Ahem…”

He cleared his throat and asked meekly: “Uh… teacher? So… would you say I passed the physical fitness test? Do I still get a reward?”

The headless teacher stared at him blankly. Then turned toward the demolished campus and fell silent.

You… you destroyed the entire school. And now you’re asking if you passed?

This is no longer the school giving you a physical exam… This is YOU giving the school one!!

All the ghosts fell into stunned silence. Even the ghost principal didn’t know what to say.

According to the script, they were supposed to have battles in the library, the pool, the classrooms…And then Team Good and Team Evil were supposed to clash head-on…

But now every building was gone. What were they supposed to do?

As the players and ghosts exchanged blank stares—the Paranormal Game Forum exploded with its biggest drama yet.

A short video was posted.

Its title?

“Nuking the Haunted Campus.”
