CHAPTER 250: DOMINION SANCTUM [ 2 ]
The hush that enveloped the luxurious Osborn bus was no ordinary silence. It wrapped around the passengers like a soft blanket, stifling not just their voices but even their breaths.
Fifty-four family members sat wide-eyed and alert, all eyes fixed on the front of the opulent vehicle where Arthur stood, regal and composed, cradling little Eve in one arm.
Her giggles filled the air as her tiny fingers tangled in his coat collar, blissfully unaware that history was about to unfold before them.
With a flick of his wrist, Arthur conjured a dazzling array of holographic screens that spiraled into life down the center aisle, hovering gracefully like ethereal spirits summoned by technology.
The blue light danced across expectant faces, casting an otherworldly glow throughout the bus.
As the central screen surged forward, it revealed an aerial view of an expansive territory,an emblem carved into the land itself,a phoenix rising from flames.
Dominion Sanctum, the heart of the Osborn Dynasty. Gasps erupted as awe washed over everyone present; they were utterly captivated.
"Ladies and gentlemen," Arthur began, his voice calm yet resonant, "what you see is Dominion Sanctum,a sovereign compound spanning 73.4 square kilometers. It’s fortified with biometric walls, internal stealth domes, and boasts self-sustaining infrastructure."
Kaia blinked in disbelief as she sat between Charlotte and Billy.
She had seen private mansions and even minor palaces before, but this... this was something else entirely!
In comparison to what Arthur had just shown them, Emerentia, the largest palace in the world at 30.4 square kilometers, looked like a child’s playhouse.
Arthur gestured again; the view zoomed into focus on a majestic structure at its core: "At its heart lies The Main Palace, our Main Palace. My Palace!"
The screen shifted to reveal a towering obsidian edifice veined with crimson light,a breathtaking blend of gothic grandeur and futuristic design.
A colossal 70-meter statue of the First Osborn Patriarch loomed proudly in the atrium with an expression etched in stone determination.
"Eighteen floors above ground," Arthur continued confidently. "Ten subterranean levels constructed from Obsidian-Titanium alloy with nano-gold filaments embedded throughout. Smart glass adapts to sunlight and threats alike."
Billy whistled lowly in amazement. "That... that’s basically a war fortress!"
"No," Arthur corrected gently with a smile, "it’s home."
Liz smirked from her seat at the back, laptop momentarily forgotten. "So that’s where you’re putting your throne room?"
Arthur nodded enthusiastically. "Yes! Alongside the AI Core Chamber, Quantum Boardroom, and Veyron Observatory,an open-sky garden dome with levitating bridges for only those I approve."
Kaia leaned forward, her heart racing as the screen flickered to life, revealing a breathtaking glass dome shimmering with starlight.
Walkways floated in midair, suspended by magnetic pulses, while gardens curled inward like alien flowers blooming in an otherworldly paradise.
Eve giggled in Arthur’s arms, her big watery eyes sparkling with wonder.
Arthur continued, his voice steady and filled with excitement. "Surrounding the Main Palace are the Nine Crescent Mansions."
As the screens panned out, nine distinct estates encircled the palace like a royal crown, each adorned with its own unique crest.
"These belong to elite family members and potential future heirs," he explained. "They’re connected to the palace via elevated magnetic rail tubes."
Edward grinned and asked playfully, "So we get hover trains now?"
Arthur allowed a faint smile to escape. "Yes! And each mansion comes equipped with cutting-edge AI systems for tight security, personal vaults, heliports, rooftop sky lounges, and even strategic war rooms."
"Dibs on the eastward mansion!" Ashley blurted out excitedly, raising her hand.
Laughter erupted among them at her enthusiasm.
Kaia shook her head in disbelief; the sheer scale of engineering and wealth was simply mind-blowing.
But Arthur wasn’t finished yet,he flicked his fingers again and a holographic screen unfolded before them.
"Moving outward,the Thirty-Six Bloodline Domains."
The screen split into thirty-six rotating images of elite villas featuring neo-futuristic designs with glass walls that shimmered like water and vertical gardens that seemed to defy gravity.
"For high-contribution Osborn members," Arthur elaborated. "Each domain includes 5 to 10 elite villas along with subterranean defense bunkers and legacy archives."
The others’ eyes sparkled in awe as they absorbed this visual feast.
Then the images zoomed out further.
An ocean of architectural marvels spread across the holograms.
"The Villa Fields," Arthur announced proudly, "contain over 5,500 smart villas! With adaptive architecture, Zen pools, rooftop gardens made from self-cleaning solar glass, all connected by electric AI roads. No manual driving permitted!"
George muttered in disbelief: "Even our roads are smarter than half the countries in Aurelia."
Kaia couldn’t help but laugh involuntarily. "This isn’t just a compound; it’s a utopia!"
Arthur pressed on without missing a beat: "Next up are the Servant Complexes,100 ultra-modern sky apartments spanning 30 floors each. Every unit comes complete with healthcare services, recreational zones for relaxation, and education hubs designed for nurturing talent."
He paused for effect before adding: "Their AI overseers monitor emotional well-being to ensure peak loyalty."
Julian’s eyes lit up with admiration. "We really do take care of our people."
"Always," Arthur affirmed confidently.
The screens zoomed in on five towering mega-structures, each more impressive than the last.
"Welcome to our Dynasty Facilities," Arthur announced, his voice brimming with pride. He gestured towards the first building. "This is the Library of Osbornia, fifty floors filled with over 500 million archives! It’s a treasure trove of knowledge, both physical and digital, featuring memory Echo chambers where family members can record their experiences."
Eva’s eyes widened in disbelief. "Wait, like... actual memory recording?!"
"Exactly," Arthur replied. "Imagine your children one day reliving your victories through your own eyes!"
Next up was the Osborn Medical Tower, ten wings dedicated to hyper-medical advancements. "Here, we’re capable of genetic resequencing and AI-assisted surgeries, among many other cutting-edge treatments."
Arthur continued with enthusiasm. "And then there’s the Gymnasium and Combat Dome, complete with sparring arenas and simulation zones! Training AIs are mandatory for all heirs."
Billy raised an eyebrow playfully. "So we’re doing family duels now?"
Arthur chuckled softly. "We always have; now it’s just a lot safer."
As they moved on to the next structure, Arthur introduced the school: "Osborn Genesis Academy, covering everything from kindergarten to middle school! In addition to standard subjects, kids will learn about Family Dynasty Law, Political Warfare, Legacy Economics, Honor Ethics... you name it!"
Ashley blinked in surprise. "So our kids are going to be baby tacticians?"
"Yes," Arthur confirmed flatly.
Oscar groaned dramatically from the back of the bus. "Ahh! I wish I had this kind of education! Why do good things never happen when I was in school?" The others rolled their eyes at his theatrics.
The screens shifted again as Arthur revealed another gem: "And here’s our Global Golf Course," he said with a sly smirk. Lush greenery unfolded before them in a stunning simulation of Earth’s finest terrains.
"22 square kilometers of pure luxury," he continued enthusiastically. "With auto-gravitational fields and seven pro-player designs, all managed by AI caddie bots!"
With a wave of his hand, the image morphed into an overview of the entire estate: "Twelve Imperial Gardens featuring lakes with magnetic hover pads and light-enhanced artificial rivers that adjust mood music based on emotional feedback."
Kaia clutched her seat in awe. "That’s insane!"
Finally came the pièce de résistance: "Security." Arthur’s tone turned serious as he listed off features like quantum-signature surveillance systems and DNA-triggered gate systems. "And don’t forget about our Stealth Dome."
Liz looked intrigued but cautious. "You mean... it vanishes?"
"Absolutely," Arthur affirmed confidently. "When activated, nothing outside the Osborn Network can see us."
Silence enveloped the room once more, but this time it felt heavier, almost sacred. Arthur’s voice dropped to a serious tone.
"At the heart of all this lies a powerful AI,the very one you’ve caught glimpses of. The entire estate operates on its predictive logic: financial dashboards, communication networks, threat analysis..."
He let that sink in for a moment before revealing the staggering truth.
"The total expenditure? A jaw-dropping 100 trillion Unicreds."
Kaia gasped so sharply that she nearly fainted. Charlotte quickly caught her arm. "Girl! Breathe!"
Arthur pressed on, unfazed. "The Main Palace and Nine Mansions alone cost 22 trillion. Villas and apartments? Another 18 trillion. The library, school, and hospital together added up to 10 trillion more. Transport systems took 12 trillion; security measures accounted for 14 trillion; gardens and leisure zones rounded out at 11 trillion. And the AI Core? That was another hefty 13 trillion."
Billy let out a slow breath, his eyes wide with disbelief. "A hundred trillion Unicreds... just to move us into paradise?"
Arthur turned to hold Eve closer, his expression resolute. "No," he said firmly.
Everyone looked up in confusion.
"A hundred trillion Unicreds to build the foundation of a new dynasty."
