Building The Strongest Territory With My Sacrifice System
Chapter 50: Jareth
CHAPTER 50: JARETH
1st Hamlet
It was the early hours of a bright morning and the sun blessed the vast and populous 1st hamlet with its radiant glow.
Known as the biggest hamlet, the 1st hamlet has several dozen huts in good condition and a population of almost a hundred and fifty people. Their farmlands are known to be the biggest and most fertile — even in seasons where other hamlets starved, the 1st hamlet always has a good storage of food supplies.
The people of the Hamlet could be seen moving around with smiles on their faces. The farmers were already in their lands working, and the women were either sewing or cooking while the children played around.
At the middle of the hamlet, a group of men could be seen constructing a wooden structure. Some of them moved wood around, while others climbed on ladders and nailed the planks. They worked harmoniously.
Some young ladies strolled around the workplace and distributed food to the workers with smiles on their faces.
The atmosphere of the 1st hamlet was not only peaceful, but productive. A luxury lacked by the other hamlets.
While the condition of this Hamlet could be considered perfect, it has not always been like this — the Hamlet only began to improve when the leader of the Ironhand gang settled in their midst about five years ago.
On that faithful day, the Hamlet was attacked by a group of terrifying goblins.
The goblins tore down their huts, ruined their farmlands, abducted their beautiful young ladies, and slaughtered the men who were courageous enough to attack them.
The goblins left after wrecking much destruction, and the people were left with grief and plenty of damages.
While they mourned, a group of three young men arrived — two with black hair and one with red hair.
The young man inquired about their situation, and after learning about it, they stormed the forest.
A few hours later, the young men, covered in blood, returned with all their beautiful ladies that were abducted by the goblins.
On that day, the red-haired youth announced his name and goal, one that struck fear and admiration in their heart.
His stay in their land brought peace, power, and prosperity.
===
Inside a big log hall seated close to the southern border of the 1st hamlet, a young and handsome man with long red hairs could be seen seated in a meditative sitting position. A magic-gem was held in his hands that relaxed on his lap.
Tiny faintly glowing particles drifted around him in a gentle rhythm pattern, they were mana, which he absorbed calmly.
As he cultivated mana, a few footsteps were heard outside, approaching the log hall.
The eyes of the red-haired handsome young man fluttered open with a cold glint, his ocean blue eyes radiating a sharp look.
He gently placed the magic-gem on the ground before turning to the entrance of the log hall without breaking his sitting position.
At that moment, three young men dressed neatly and adorning leather armors strolled in.
"Boss!"
"Boss!"
The three of them quickly fell on the ground and bowed their heads.
"Report," the red-haired young man ignored their greetings and asked seriously.
One of them stood up and began reporting right away, "The monsterborn we sent out to neighbouring hamlets have returned with a lot of foodstuff this time, they should last for an estimate of two weeks. The 5th Hamlet was attacked by some bandits from the 7th Hamlet last night, but we dealt with them. There have been suspicious movement..."
The young man narrated everything in a loud but shaky voice while the red-haired young man listened with a frown on his face. His reports included details of hamlets under the leadership of the mysterious young man — it also included reports of territories that have not accepted his leadership yet.
After he was done reporting, the young men fell back on his knees and bowed.
"Tch.. boring." The red-haired young man scoffed. A chilly aura emitted from his body, causing the three gang member to sweat anxiously. "Get out." He then sent them out.
He watched the three young men cower away with a frown. A few minutes after they left, a duo walked into the log in — unlike the previous trio, these guys were calm, they didn’t even bow like the guys who just left.
They located a bench at a corner of the room and sat on it.
The two new arrivals had long black hair and shared the same resemblance, revealing their relationship as twin. They were dressed in neat red clothings that accenturred their refined muscles.
"Yo Jareth, you stayed up all night meditating again? You know it is bad to skip sleeps consistently, you might develop erectile dysfunction." One of them joked.
SLAP!
Nevertheless, he was quickly met with a slap to the back of his head by his twin.
"Chill out with the sexual jokes, Tico."
Tico held the back of his head and stared at his brother coldly and complained, "Come on, Zane, you know I’m telling the truth. Sitting around all day and night is the best way to get erectile dysfunction."
The red-haired young man, Jareth, stared at their interaction with a cold expression on his face. Though, there was an hint of familiarity within his eyes.
"How was the new fusion ritual?" His mouth parted and he asked coldly.
The twin stopped their altercation and turned in his direction. Zane answered, "The fusion ritual this time was a mess, honestly." He started and heaved a small sigh, "Although we succeeded in the transformation aspect, the body of the subject was unable to bare the transformation and exploded."
"Explosion again.."
"Yeah," Zane nodded, "But do not worry, we’re getting somewhere with our research, very soon, we would be able to produce the perfect monsterborn army."
Jareth nodded his head and rose up from his sitting position — standing up, he was over six feet tall and had a lean physique. Combined with his face, he would rival models on earth.
"Where are you going Jareth?" Tico rushed beside Jareth and asked.
"Taking a stroll." Jareth replied coolly.
"Good, you’re listening to my warning. Take more strolls like this daily and you would get plenty of strong erections to conquer all your fangirls."
"Tsk." Jareth scoffed and continued walking.
He was greeted with the bright morning sunlight as he stepped outside, causing his eyes to squint.
"LOOK! its master Jareth!"
"He looks so awesome and handsome as ever!"
"I think I’m pregnant already!"
"Master Jareth!"
The women lingering in the vicinity, including the married and unmarried, began chanting his name with admiration. But Jareth simply waved at them and continued strolling, alongside the talkative Tico.
The chants did not halt even as he strolled away.
Zane soon stepped out of the log hall and observed the frenzied crowd fangirling over his friend and sighed.
’If only these women knows his real plans for them,’ he thought as he walked faster to catch up with the two of them.
They strolled towards the biggest building in the Hamlet made of wood. It was guarded by a total of four men adorning leather armors, with sword strapped on their waist.
The three of them strolled inside the building which was filled with plethora of food supplies in good condition. Including preserved meat and farm produce, the room was filled to the brim with goodies.
The smell of the food items were pleasing to the nose.
At that moment, two monsterborn flew by. They bowed in front of the three young men respectfully before placing the supplies they brought inside the large hall filled with food — one of them, was the same monsterborn Ragnar and Noah spotted, the same one who killed the innocent farmer.
The same monsterborn strolled in front of Jareth and bowed his head before reporting.
"Alive? How?" Jareth reacted after hearing his report.
