Burn those who burned me!
Hunted 66
bChapter /b66
biEthan’s /i/bbPOV/bb: /b
As we made our way to the conference room, Jameson was trying to make small talk. Though I paid him no mind, truth was I was there for one reason only, ra Granger–Rouleau. I had no interest in JGP, honestly I found Jameson rather repulsive, but I acknowledged that as his daughter, poaching ra would be close to impossible. So even if it meant partnering with this insufferable man, if it meant getting close to her, I’d endure it.
After arriving, Jameson and Edward began setting up proposals and paperwork. Edward spoke first.
i“/iiChairman /iiTaylor/ii, /iilet me /iijust /iisay/ii, /iion /iibehalf /iof iJGP /iwe iare /iiso /iexcited iabout /iithe /iipossibility /iiof /iiworking /iiwith /iiyou/ii! /iiNow-/i”
Before Edward could finish, Jameson cut him off.
“iYes/ii, /iiwe’re /iidelighted /ito ipartner /iiwith /iiETP/ii! /iiAnd /iI isay /iithis /iias /iithe /iChairman of ione /iithe /iimost /iiinfluential /iipharmaceutical /iipanies /iin ithe /iiworld/ii, /iI’m id /iiyou /iihad /iithe /iiresolve /iito /iie /ito ius /iifor /iihelp/ii./ii” /i
Arrogant.
Was this jackass for real. He honestly thought I came to thispany for him. I would need to end this meeting quickly before I lose my reserve. I nced over at Edward who was now looking at Jameson with nervous annoyance.
“A–iAs /iiI /iwas isaying /iiChairman/i, iwe’ve /iipose /iian /iientire /iiproposal /iiregarding /iiour /iirecent /iiadvancements /iiwith /iinano /iitechnology /iias /iiwell /ias imedicinal /iibreakthroughs /iithat /iiI /iithink /iiyou /iiwould /iifind /iivery /iiimp/i…-
I held my hand to cut Edward off, I wasn’t trying to be rude to him, honestly I had no qualms with Edward. But I didn’t want to waste anymore time if I didn’t have too.
“VP iLawrence/ibi, /i/biforgive /ime ifor /iibeing /iicurt /iibut /iiI /iiactually /iihave /iianother /iimeeting /iI’ll ibe /iiintending /iisoon /iiso /ibiI /i/bidon’t /iiwant /ito itake /iitoo /iimuch /iiof /iiyour /iitime/i. iWhile /iI’m isure /iiyour /iiproposal /iiis /iiimpressive/ii, /iiETP /iihas /iialready /ibegun inano /iitreatment /iiresearch /ias imy /iifather /iiand /iibrother /iruns one ithe /iirgest /iitech /ipanies in ithe /i
iworld/i.”
Both Jameson and Edward stared at me with confusion. I could tell Jameson’s annoyance was rising but I couldn’t care in the slightest. I knew theirpany’s finances weren’t in the greatest position. Granger had been spending hispany’s funds quicker than he was producing. Over the past few years their medicinal production grew stagnant, and the talent was dwindling. Edward exhaled and began to speak.
i“/iiChairman/i, if iyou /iidon’t /iimind /iimy /iaskingi, /iiwhat /iiexactly /iidid /iiyou /iiwant /iithis /imeeting ifor/i?”

Fair question.
i“/iiActually /iiVP/ii, /iimy /iiinterest /iiis /iin iChairman /iiGranger’s /iidaughter/i, i1-/i”
Before I could finish, Jameson’s eyes beamed with joy.
b74/bb% /b
“iWell/i, iwhy /ididn’t iyou /iisay /iiso/ii! /iiYou /ididn’t ihave /ito ihold /iithis /iimeeting/ii. /iiIf /iiyou /iiwere /iiinterested /iiin /iimy /iiSophie /iiall /iiyou /iihad /iito /iido-/i”
i“/iI’m sorry iChairman/i, iwho /iiis /iiSophie/ii?/i”
Jameson looked at me with confusion. For some reason he thought I was referring to his idiot daughter Sophie. I’d done my research on the other Granger daughter, I’m not sure what the spell was she’d cast on her father, but there was nothing special about her at all. She was ackluster student at best that clearly only got into the schools she went to because of her father’s
connections.
“iWho’s /iiSophie/ii? /iiShe’s /iimy daughter/ii. /iiHow /iicould /iiyou /iibe /iiinterested /iiin /iiher /iiand /iinot /iiknow /iiher /iiname/ii?/ii” /i
I could see Edward slightly roll his eyes in annoyance; we clearly were on the same page. Clearly his
throat, he began to speak.
“Umi, /iiJameson /iiI /iithink /iithe /iiChairman /iis ireferring /iito /iiyour /iiother /iidaughter/ii, /iira/ii./i”
Jameson shot Edward hard re.
“Why ion /iiearth /iiwould /iihe /iibe /iiinterested /iiin /iiher/ii!/ii” /i
His voice raised higher than a normal tone. Clearly his held a disdain for her, though I wasn’t sure why, I had my spections. Looking over at my assistant Owen, I gave the signal it was time to leave. Clearly I would have to think of another way to work with ra. Standing up, I could see panic rising in both Jameson and Edward’s eyes. Edward held his hand up.
“Wait a second iChairman /iiTyler/ii! /iiIf /iiyou’re /iiinterested /iiin /iiworking /iiwith /iira/i, you made the iright /idecisioning here,i” /i
