CHAPTER 17: CHAPTER 17: QIN SIYUAN, STEP ASIDE

Chu Yan swallowed. "You read this during class, Gu Anxi? You’re so cool!" she exclaimed, then added, "And you can understand such a professional book? You’re amazing!"

Shen Wanqing flicked her hair.

Nearby, Lin Qi sneered, "Just showing off."

Just as Lin Qi finished, Gu Anxi lazily said, "I don’t understand it." Her English was good, but this was a specialized book, after all. It wasn’t something one could digest instantly; there was always a process.

After Gu Anxi spoke, Chu Yan looked a bit embarrassed but quickly became exceptionally enthusiastic again.

Meanwhile, Gu Anxi closed her book, silently reminiscing about when she shared a desk with Shen Wanqing. No pleasantries required back then!!! She threw a silent glance at Chu Yan.

A sarcastic laugh echoed in the classroom. "No matter how good he is, can he be better than Qin Siyuan?"

Chu Yan flushed with anger. "Why couldn’t he be as good as Qin Siyuan? My brother, he’s..." The words that were about to tumble out were quickly swallowed back.

Another round of sarcastic laughter rippled through the classroom, clearly mocking Chu Yan for her boast.

Just then, Shen Wanqing said magnanimously, "Lin Qi, don’t be like that. Be more low-key."

Lin Qi nodded, looking rather smug. "Our Wanqing’s boyfriend is the student council president of Qing University. Who can compare to that?"

Chu Yan covered her face. "So amazing! But... is he nearsighted by any chance...?"

When someone prompted her, Chu Yan slowly drawled, "Well, if he isn’t nearsighted, why would he choose such an underwhelming girlfriend?"

Chu Yan didn’t voice these thoughts aloud. If she had, Shen Wanqing would probably have died of anger.

Shen Wanqing was furious, but she was exceptionally tolerant and said magnanimously, "Lin Qi, don’t stoop to arguing with others."

Lin Qi protested indignantly, "I just don’t believe her brother can be all that great."

Qin Siyuan lowered his head. "Your aunt is waiting for you outside."

Gu Anxi ignored him, pushed him aside, and walked out.

Qin Siyuan instantly grabbed her hand. "Gu Anxi!"

The classroom fell silent.

Wow! So the campus beau and campus belle really do have something going on!

Shen Wanqing’s expression turned extremely ugly, while Lin Qi was dumbfounded, not knowing what had just happened.
