CHAPTER 418: CHAPTER 419: AWESOME! CAN I NOT LIVE WITHOUT HER?

Gu Mingzhu remained silent, her lips pursed slightly.

The girl beside her snorted. "Mingzhu comes from such a good family. How could Wang Qin possibly compare?"

Gu Anxi sneered. "Acting so high and mighty, why do you even feel the need to compare yourself with Wang Qin? Ah, I understand now. You’re just sour because Fang Ming chose her and not you. In Fang Ming’s eyes, even a girl from a modest background is preferable to a Gu family princess like you."

She paused for a moment. "If you’re upset, just say so. There’s no need to hide it and look all bitter."

With that, she pulled Wang Qin away.

Once outside, Gu Anxi looked at Wang Qin, whose eyes were a little red.

"You’re something else. About to cry already?" Gu Anxi laughed gently. Then, putting an arm around Wang Qin, she called Fang Ming. "School Prince, Wang Qin’s crying. Come over."

After hanging up, she smiled and waited nearby, close to the restroom.

About a minute later, School Prince Fang Ming arrived, and quickly at that.

He walked over to Wang Qin, gently lifted her small face, and frowned. "What happened to her?"

Gu Anxi briefly explained. "Alright, that’s the gist of it. She’s all yours."

She was his girlfriend, so of course, it was better for him to protect her. Although I could do it too, it would be more effective if Fang Ming stepped in. Plus, I can see his attitude this way.

With her mission accomplished, Gu Anxi left. Fang Ming looked down at Wang Qin and said gently, "Don’t cry."

Wang Qin nodded obediently. "I won’t cry."

But his little pet cried anyway, burying her face in his chest and sobbing pitifully, her distress making his own heart ache with a numb, sour, and heavy feeling. This wasn’t a pleasant sensation, but it made him even more resolved never to let her go.

He murmured sweet nothings to her, coaxing her tenderly.

When Gu Mingzhu and a few of her close confidantes came out, they saw Fang Ming holding Wang Qin. His expression was incredibly tender. For Gu Mingzhu, the scene was an absolute eyesore!

"There, there, what are you crying for?" Fang Ming soothed, wiping her nose with infinite patience. "I never said I didn’t want you. Why would I pursue you if I didn’t intend to marry you, hmm?"

Gu Mingzhu’s face darkened with anger. She spun around and stalked off.

After they left, Fang Ming tried to console Wang Qin for a long time but couldn’t stop her tears. Finally, he simply lowered his head and kissed her fiercely.

After a long moment, Wang Qin, her eyes wide, finally stopped crying.

Fang Ming didn’t have the best temper, but he was exceptionally patient with Wang Qin. Usually, he enjoyed teasing her with a wicked sense of humor, but now that his little pet had been bullied, he naturally had to comfort her properly.

Wang Qin said nothing, merely pressing herself against his chest and hugging his waist.

Fang Ming pressed his lips together, a hint of fury in his eyes.

Later, he took her home and spent the entire afternoon with her. When classes at Beicheng University were about to end, he drove back and intercepted Gu Mingzhu in the parking lot.

Princess Gu was about to go home and had her car door halfway open when Fang Ming jumped out of his own car and ran over. "Gu Mingzhu!"

Gu Mingzhu paused briefly, then got out and closed her car door. "Fang Ming, what is it?"

Fang Ming’s expression was grim. "Gu Mingzhu, are you fucking sick in the head, saying those things to Wang Qin? Who the hell I marry—does it have a damn thing to do with you?"

Gu Mingzhu had initially assumed Fang Ming was going to explain why he had embraced Wang Qin in front of her.

He... he’s liked me for a long time, hasn’t he?

But now, he was speaking to her like this!

Gu Mingzhu bit her lip. "Fang Ming, do you even know what you’re saying?"

"Of course, I do!" Fang Ming strode forward, roughly shoving her against the car. He leaned in close. "You thought I liked you? Let me tell you right now, I fucking like Wang Qin! I can’t live without her! Understand? Get it? Know it? Stop fucking acting like my damn spokesperson, blabbering about what my mom thinks or whatever! You’re not my fucking mom! Besides, that’s my family’s business! What the fuck does it have to do with you!"

His furious outburst drew the attention of nearby students, who quickly gathered around, eager to watch the drama unfold.

Gu Mingzhu was livid, her face pale and her eyes red. "Fang Ming, how dare you be so harsh to me over someone like Wang Qin?!"
