Jack seemed interested and suggested, "Why not invite them to join us for dinner?"

Jiang Chaoge was a little surprised, but she entertained some girlish whims. She wanted to see Bo Xichen’s reaction to her relationship with Jack. Perhaps he would be... a bit disheartened!

So, Jiang Chaoge approached them and gently said, "Senior Bo."

Bo Xichen looked at her, surprised, replying, "Doctor Jiang."

It was a very distant form of address, but some people simply couldn’t let things go.

Jiang Chaoge flicked her hair back. "My boyfriend and I are dining here. Would you and Anxi like to join us?"

Gu Anxi peeked over, noticing Jack. Jack raised his glass and seductively took a sip.

Gu Anxi secretly made a funny face at him! Bo Xichen saw this from the corner of his eye. With a helpless and indulgent smile, he turned to Jiang Chaoge and said, "Let me ask Anxi."

Gu Anxi, with her innocently pleasant demeanor, responded, "I don’t mind. Whatever Doctor Jiang deems appropriate."

Jiang Chaoge, dressed in a fiery red slip dress, looked extremely self-assured as she said with a smile, "Alright, then let’s have dinner together."

Gu Anxi sighed and shook her head. Even under these circumstances, the fact that she could remain so calm was truly impressive.

The four of them sat together. Jack swirled his glass. "AN?"

Jack smiled at his female companion. "Many years ago, AN and I were classmates. I was the one who took AN out to internet cafes, drinking, and fighting."

Bo Xichen was looking at Gu Anxi. Gu Anxi nearly spat out her pre-dinner drink. Was Jack’s desire for revenge really that strong? Talking about all of that in front of her young uncle!

That wasn’t all. Nugul Jack, holding his glass and reminiscing, said, "That’s right, back then AN had a crush on a boy named Qin Siyuan. She talked about him all the time, Qin Siyuan this, Qin Siyuan that."

As he said this, he noticed with satisfaction that AN looked like she was about to bite someone! Although Gu Anxi didn’t actually do so, she secretly kicked Jack hard under the table! Jack didn’t appear bothered and just smirked.

This interaction made Jiang Chaoge extremely uncomfortable. She hadn’t expected Gu Anxi and Jack to be so close! Fortunately, it seemed like Jack wasn’t too fond of her. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have spilled the beans about her past with Qin... Siyuan in front of Bo Xichen. With that thought, her mood improved greatly.

Having vented his anger, Jack was cheerfully attentive to his female companion. Jiang Chaoge inexplicably felt much better. He pushed the dessert towards her. "Isn’t this your favorite?"

She had always stood out in her own remarkable way, her radiance too bright to be overshadowed. Yet, now, she was willing to dim her own light and stay by this man’s side. Gu Anxi drew out a long "Oh," flicked her hands dry. "Congratulations in advance then, Doctor Jiang."

"You can officially congratulate me at the banquet." Jiang Chaoge smiled. "Also, Jack and I are dating. Our relationship cannot be compared to simply being schoolmates."
