Campus Ace Girl
Chapter 50 Little Uncle
CHAPTER 50: CHAPTER 50 LITTLE UNCLE
Bo Xichen went to Qing University early the next morning. Feng Mian drove him in a very low-profile black car, its brand hard to identify, bearing a license plate from Beicheng.
When the car reached Qing University, it was halted by security. Feng Mian produced a pass, and the security guard promptly opened the main gate, his eyes still wide with disbelief. If he wasn’t mistaken, the signature on that pass belonged to... the most powerful person in Qingcheng.
Feng Mian found a spot in the parking lot, parked the car, and turned to Bo Xichen. "Young Master Bo, I’ll wait here."
Bo Xichen nodded.
As he was getting out of the car, he called Gu Anxi. "I’ve arrived. Come to the department’s academic affairs office."
Gu Anxi, who was in her classroom, left as soon as she received the call.
The students around her began to whisper.
"It seems like Gu Anxi’s guardian is here."
"Didn’t they say Gu Anxi’s mom abandoned her?"
"Who knows what kind of character has shown up now?"
Shen Wanqing pursed her lips and glanced at Lin Qi.
Lin Qi said softly, "I’ll go take a look." With that, she followed Gu Anxi.
「Fine Arts Department Academic Affairs Office.」
Professor Gao was quite surprised to see Bo Xichen. The young man was strikingly handsome, with an undeniable charisma. Professor Gao, who had always held himself in high regard, remained seated and didn’t offer Bo Xichen a seat. Instead, he asked coolly, "And what is your relationship to Gu Anxi?"
Just then, Gu Anxi walked in. Bo Xichen’s ice-blue eyes landed on her face, and his voice was gentle as he said, "You could say I’m her brother."
Gu Anxi, however, was very direct. "According to seniority, he’s my little uncle."
After she spoke, a peculiar glint appeared in Bo Xichen’s eyes, and he merely chuckled softly.
His parents weren’t of the same generation. His mother used to call his father ’Little Uncle’ when she was young, and even now, she occasionally calls him that in private.
Professor Gao was rendered speechless. He slammed the book in his hand onto the table. "Whether you’re her little uncle or her brother, Mr. Gu, you need to discipline Gu Anxi properly!"
Bo Xichen calmly stated, "My surname is Bo."
Professor Gao continued, his anger flaring, "Her scores in basic subjects are practically zero! As for her professional knowledge... let’s not even talk about it! It’s complete chicken scratch." Finding an outlet for his frustration, Professor Gao launched into a tirade. "I’ve been teaching for so many years, and I’ve never encountered such an unmotivated student!"
At this, Bo Xichen turned his gaze to Gu Anxi. "Zero? Really?"
Gu Anxi remained silent, which was a tacit admission.
Professor Gao continued his rant for a while, clearly feeling much better afterward. Finally, with fire in his eyes, he declared, "If she makes any more mistakes, if there are any more instances of her skipping classes, leaving early, or getting zero scores, I will propose to Principal Wang that her enrollment be terminated."
Professor Gao didn’t expect Gu Anxi to take his words to heart. "Look at your classmate Shen Wanqing! She excels in every aspect and is top of her class campus-wide. Her foundational skills are excellent, not to mention her professional knowledge is so solid that Elder He is even considering introducing her to the Jia Ren Auction House."
Gu Anxi frowned slightly. "Elder He? Is that the Elder He I know?"
Professor Gao smiled proudly. "A contemporary master. He’s also my senior."
Professor Gao himself was quite accomplished, but his work had a touch too much technical precision and lacked a certain artistic flair, so his achievements paled in comparison to Elder He’s.
Noticing that Gu Anxi seemed to be listening, Professor Gao continued, "Elder He also has a disciple, a true prodigy who has won numerous international awards. Have you heard of Luo Lin? That’s the one!"
