Can't Stand This Lousy Jie Sect Anymore
Chapter 720 - 508: Stealing Half a Day of Leisurely Time_3
Tongtian Sect Hierarch nodded, then took out a Jade Scroll from his sleeve and handed it to Yu Yuan, "This contains some of my understandings and conjectures about the Heavenly Dao, along with some secrets of Zixiao Palace. Take it and study it; it might help you in your future quest for enlightenment."
Yu Yuan took the Jade Scroll, his expression solemn, "Disciple will not disappoint the trust of the master ancestor."
Tongtian Sect Hierarch watched Yu Yuan's departing figure, a complex emotion flickering in his eyes. He knew that his disciple was about to embark on a path unlike his own, and all he could do was to provide as much help as possible.
Yu Yuan left Biyou Palace, his mind filled with thoughts. There was a problem with the Heavenly Dao, which meant the entire Three Realms might face an unprecedented crisis. And he was to confront it all.
He clenched the Jade Scroll tightly, his eyes shining with resolute light.
Attaining enlightenment and becoming a Saint were urgent matters now.
Having left Biyou Palace, Yu Yuan stood alone on Tian Yuan Peak, gazing at the layers of celestial mist in the distance, yet the turmoil in his heart was hard to calm.
He well knew that at some point he had become a thorn in the side of that false Taoist Ancestor, a constant irritant, desperately wanted to be rid of him at the earliest!
But who exactly was this false Taoist Ancestor, and why did he target me?
Yu Yuan pondered silently to himself.
He could feel it— that mysterious strength was always spying on him, like a fierce beast lurking in the shadows, ready to strike lethally at any moment.
However, Yu Yuan also understood that if the false Taoist Ancestor truly had the power to strike him directly, he would not have chosen such indirect methods. There must be some hidden reasons he was unaware of, perhaps some rules of the Heavenly Dao, or maybe constraints from other Saints preventing the false ancestor from taking direct action.
This situation offered Yu Yuan a slight comfort, but more so a heavy pressure. He clearly knew he was standing at a perilous juncture where every step must be cautiously taken.
"Only by attaining enlightenment and sainthood can I truly control my fate, and not be swayed by anyone." Yu Yuan thought firmly, his gaze becoming even more resolute.
He knew time was of the essence, and he must seize every moment to find the opportunity for enlightenment. In this unpredictable world, only by possessing enough strength could he ensure his safety and protect everything he cherished.
Yu Yuan gripped the Jade Scroll tightly; this was the Tongtian Sect Hierarch's understanding of the Heavenly Dao, and also the crucial clue for his enlightenment. He decided that from today onward, he would engage in closed-door cultivation, sparing no cost to break through his current realm as soon as possible.
He looked back at Biyou Palace, where his master ancestor was, his support, and his responsibility. He would not let his master ancestor down, nor would he allow himself to regret.
Yu Yuan sat down cross-legged; Tian Yuan Peak would be his practising ground for the coming days.
He knew that in the days ahead, he would face countless challenges and tribulations, but in his heart, there was only one goal—attain enlightenment and sainthood.
It seemed that even the forces under the cliff could feel Yu Yuan's determination, as the winds stirred and clouds surged, gathering an invisible strength silently.
Yu Yuan was meditating with eyes closed, trying to find the clues for enlightenment from the Jade Scroll gifted by his master ancestor, when suddenly a light footstep disrupted the tranquility of the peak. He opened his eyes to see a red figure fluttering towards him; it was his senior sister Huo Ling'er.
Huo Ling'er, in a long red dress, danced in the mountain wind, her eyes flickering with concern. As soon as she saw Yu Yuan, she hurried forward, her tone full of worry, "Junior brother! You've finally returned! I heard earlier that our master ancestor wanted to kill you, I was almost worried to death! Are you alright?"
Yu Yuan smiled slightly, his senior sister always managing to bring a warm stream to his heart.
He replied with a smile, "It's all in the past, you don't need to worry."
However, Huo Ling'er frowned slightly, clearly somewhat dissatisfied, "It's just over? You faced so many dangers alone, and I couldn't help at your side... Now that you are powerful, I'm just a burden, right? No wonder I feel that the distance between us is growing."
Yu Yuan looked at Huo Ling'er's slightly flushed face due to worry, feeling a warmth in his heart. He extended his hand, gently patting her shoulder, consoling, "You're overthinking it. After all, who are we to each other? How could the distance between us possibly grow?"
Upon hearing this, the dissatisfaction in Huo Ling'er's eyes seemed to dissipate a bit, but she still pouted, appearing a bit petulant, "Then how are you going to prove our distance hasn't grown?"
Yu Yuan pondered for a moment, a sudden thought striking him. He had been so busy lately with intense cultivation and dealing with crises, perhaps he really should relax a bit and adjust his mindset. He revealed a radiant smile to Huo Ling'er, "Sister, let's not talk about cultivation or crises today. I'll accompany you to do something fun—whale fishing in the East Sea, how about that?"
Huo Ling'er's eyes instantly brightened upon hearing "whale fishing in the East Sea", her nature always loving novel and fun adventures, "Really? You better not be tricking me!"
Yu Yuan nodded, speaking earnestly, "Of course, it's true. Let's just treat it as taking a lazy break, to relax a bit."
Huo Ling'er clapped her hands happily, her laughter as clear as bells, "Then what are we waiting for? Let's go right away!"
The two figures quickly vanished from Tian Yuan Peak, flying towards the East Sea. On their way to the East Sea, Huo Ling'er occasionally shared funny stories, her crisp laughter echoing through Heaven and Earth, as if all worries were swept away by the wind.
