This woman was none other than Bai Ling, the Clan Leader of the Qingqiu Nine-tailed Fox.

"Clan Leader Su, you called me here, is there something important?"

Bai Ling's voice was gentle, like a spring breeze, yet it carried an irresistible force.

A hint of pleading flashed across Su Daji's eyes: "Clan Leader Bai, I know you possess the ability to communicate with heaven and earth. Great Shang is now in imminent danger, and Di Xin's life is at risk. I... I seek help from no one else, only hoping that you could find a way to save Great Shang and preserve his life."

Bai Ling frowned slightly. She looked around, as if sensing something, then softly said, "The fate of Great Shang is already hard to reverse. You should be considering your own life now.

Although Nuwa commanded you to allure the emperor's heart, she also repeatedly instructed not to harm the loyal and good, or take lives indiscriminately. Yet, you disregarded these commands and committed numerous murders.

A bright future, you have completely ruined."

Upon hearing this, a flicker of fear passed through Su Daji's eyes, and she quickly asked, "What should I do then?"

Bai Ling looked at Su Daji intently, as if weighing something.

Finally, she slowly spoke, "There is only one way that can temporarily reverse the situation and give you a chance to escape this calamity."

Without hesitation, Su Daji quickly asked, "What is the method?"

A contemplative look crossed Bai Ling's eyes as she slowly said, "Su Daji, you know that if Xi Qi's army invades Chaoge, both you and Di Xin will have no escape.

After all, Bo Yikao was tragically killed by your hands, and that Western Marquis, no matter how generous, would not possibly forgive you."

The color drained from Su Daji's face; she clearly understood the implications of Bai Ling's words.

Bo Yikao had initially come to Chaoge to admonish, but under orders from her and Di Xin, he was turned into jerked meat and sent to Western Marquis Ji Chang.

It was intended as a deterrent to Xi Qi, but it ended up backfiring and provoked Western Marquis to rebell.

At this moment, Bai Ling continued, "But now, those rebelling are not only from Xi Qi; another powerful army is also significant."

A thought struck Su Daji, and she immediately guessed the answer.

"Are you talking about Linhuan Pass to the southeast?"

"Correct," Bai Ling nodded and continued, "Wen Zhong is the master of Linhuan, and although he is ambitious, he does not wish to see Chaoge become Xi Qi's territory.

If you could convince Di Xin to surrender to him before Xi Qi's army breaks through, it might secure a chance for you both to survive."

A complex light flashed in Su Daji's eyes; she knew this was a dangerous path but seemed to be the only way out in this desperate situation.

"But His Majesty..." Su Daji hesitated. She knew about Di Xin's pride and self-esteem, and asking him to surrender to Wen Zhong was like asking him to forsake his dignity.

"You must persuade him; this is the only way," Bai Ling said firmly, knowing that there was little time and a decision must be made quickly.

Taking a deep breath, Su Daji's heart filled with struggle and anxiety, but she knew she must try, for Di Xin, for herself.

She turned and hurried towards Di Xin's sleeping quarters. Her heartbeat quickened, aware that the decision she was about to make could alter the fate of Great Shang.

Pushing open the door of the sleeping chamber, she saw Di Xin still asleep. She walked gently to his bedside and softly called, "Your Majesty, wake up."

Di Xin slowly opened his eyes and seeing the anxious expression on Su Daji's face, he mumbled, "My beloved, what has happened?"

Su Daji was about to speak when she heard a frightened cry from a servant outside.

"Your Majesty, it's terrible… Xi Qi's army has begun attacking the city again!"

"What's all the noise about!"

Di Xin furiously declared, "Drag him away and execute him by heating!"

The servant outside was so frightened that he was speechless as the guards dragged him away.

Di Xin turned his face towards Su Daji, looking at her kindly, "What were you about to say?"

Su Daji took a deep breath, shook her head, and ultimately remained silent.

"If my beloved has nothing to say, then I will go to the city wall myself. If I'm not there, each of them turns into a scared turtle..."

Di Xin grumbled a few more words.

Su Daji silently helped him put on his armor, watching him as he walked away.

At dawn, the sky began to lighten, and Xi Qi's war drums thundered once again, piercing the quiet dawn. Underneath Chaoge's walls, flames leapt high, and Xi Qi's army surged forward like a tide, launching a new fierce assault.

On the city walls, the defenders, after a brief respite overnight, re-engaged in the intense battle. Stones and arrows fell like rain, boiling oil and molten metal poured down, burning the enemy soldiers climbing the walls, who screamed in agony. But the Xi Qi army seemed to have gone mad, determined at all costs to break through Chaoge's strong defenses.

Jiang Ziya stood on the command platform, his eyes sharp, surveying the battlefield ahead. He saw his own soldiers suffering heavy losses in repeated charges, his brow deeply furrowed. He knew that a direct assault was not enough to take Chaoge and that he needed to find another way.

Thus, he secretly ordered, calling upon Tu Xingsun, skilled in Earth Escape Technique.

"Tu Xingsun, can you use your Earth Escape Technique to infiltrate the city and open the gates for me?" Jiang Ziya whispered.

Tu Xingsun nodded, his figure flickered, and he disappeared into the earth. His body moved through the soil as easily as through water, heading towards the inside of Chaoge.
