Captive By Desire, A Love We Can't Deny
Chapter 93: I’m Done!
CHAPTER 93: I’M DONE!
Time passes quickly.
That afternoon, Debrah got busy chatting with her friends who she had been ignoring for a while. They reconnected in group chat, planning their perfect night out tonight.
Deborah smiled the whole time. Reconnecting with her friends gives her a new sense of happiness and she likes it.
If her husband can’t give her happiness, she will get it from her single friends!
It looks like staying single was a better choice than being married.
For a moment she was frozen in time. If she didn’t fall in love and marry Alpha Maxwell she would still have a great life nowadays, having fun with her friends without restrictions.
Oh, how she missed her single life so much!
Suddenly she craves freedom so she can do anything she wants with her life.
But it’s too late already because she is a married woman now.
Maybe it’s not too late yet!
She can get rid of her husband by divorcing him and granting him full custody of their son. That will correct all the mistakes she has done in her life. Sounds like a good idea!
She was glad she could still change her life for the better.
After the divorce she can finally reclaim her single status again. She will be free to do anything she likes with her life.
Ah, that is great! Full freedom is still within her reach. This time she is willing to do anything to achieve it.
She was tired of playing the role of a neglected wife.
She was fed up of trying everything just to make her husband love her again.
Marrying Alpha Maxwell was a very big mistake on her part. She only knew it now. Her eyes were now wide open.
She’s done with her stupidity.
It’s time to move on for real now!
Tomorrow, she will have a serious talk with her husband and ask for divorce. While the divorce proceedings are ongoing, she will leave this place and go back to her family and wait there for the dissolution of her marriage to her husband.
Then she can openly start partying with her friends, anytime, anywhere.
She is very excited to be a single woman again. Every fiber of her being is ready to embrace her single status once again.
Her suffering finally ends tomorrow!
After she finishes discussing the divorce with her husband she will leave the mansion immediately and go back to her family, and live in her parents’ mansion until the divorce is finalized.
No need to stay longer in this place which reminded her so much of the bad memories associated with being a martyr wife to her heartless husband.
She was done with the way he treats her.
She was so fed up with her life full of anger and suspicion. Her married life has become a cage of negative thoughts suffocating her every waking hour. She can’t go on like that!
Time to shine and live well.
With her plans already in motion, she finally feels at peace with herself.
Her husband would be very pleased the moment she finally told him the good news tomorrow.
Win-win for both parties.
But tonight she will reconnect with her friends first and have a blast with them in their favorite hangout because tomorrow she will finally get rid of her cruel husband.
She will reclaim her freedom and enjoy her life. After tasting the bitterness of married life, she finally decided to stay single for the rest of her life.
She will travel to exotic destinations, explore new places, meet new interesting people and enjoy her life to the fullest.
Now that her mind is already set on divorce, no one can stop her, not even her own family!
Tonight, party party because tomorrow she will DIVORCE her cruel husband.
A smile of victory curled up on her lips.
Previously her old self would never agree to this divorce but now she was craving it.
Her obsession with her husband has finally evaporated into thin air, gone with the wind! The best thing that has ever happened to her so far.
Feeling happy with her decision, she picked up her son and brought him to the garden to enjoy the blooming flowers.
She was sitting on a bench when she saw her husband coming towards her location.
Oh, he was home early.
He smiled and sat beside her on the bench.
She immediately put baby Zed into his arms and said, "Take care of our son. I’m going out early."
"Where are you going?" He asked with a raised brow.
"I’m going to meet my friends in our favorite disco bar for a reunion. Don’t wait for me. I will not sleep here tonight. I will sleep at my friend’s house," she said coldly.
"You can’t do this. Why sleep in other people’s homes? Why not go home?" he asked, questioning her sudden weird behavior today.
"Why can’t I do it?" she asked, annoyed.
"It is not proper, because you are a married woman and there is a baby waiting for you back home," he said calmly.
She smirked. "I’m no longer your wife. You heard that? Starting tomorrow, I’m no longer your wife..." she declared haughtily.
His brows snapped together. "W-what do you mean?" he asked, sensing something huge had changed about her.
Deborah smirked. "I have already agreed to a divorce. Effective tomorrow we are no longer a couple. Go to your attorney and file for our divorce. The sooner the better. I signed it immediately. If you want, you can have full custody of our son. I will give him to you. If not, then I will hire a nanny to take care of him. Tomorrow when I come home, I will pack my bags and take my son with me to my parents’ house. I can no longer live in this place anymore. I don’t want to be your martyr’s wife anymore! I WANT A DIVORCE!"
He was stunned by her outburst. His jaw dropped to the floor.
Deborah turns around and walks in the direction of the bungalow house to dress up for tonight’s party, leaving her husband shocked by her explosive statement.
She wants to arrive early to the disco bar and meet her friends for a chitchat. Feeling excited and energized she entered the house and went straight to her room to take a shower and get ready for tonight.
Back in the garden, Alpha Maxwell was still reeling from the shock of his wife’s meltdown and declaration of divorce.
W-was that his wife?
Did she turn into an alien or what?
The woman who talked to her just now asking about divorce was like a stranger. She was no longer the same woman he married.
What the hell happened to Deborah?
He was hoping that she was telling the truth that she wanted a divorce. But he didn’t want to raise his hopes high because she could change her mind at any minute. Women are known to have changeable minds and Deborah is not an exception.
It’s too early for a celebration.
Maybe his wife’s outburst was just a byproduct of her anger and she will revert back to her old self.
He will wait for tomorrow. If she still insists on the divorce, she is telling the truth.
After an hour of dressing up, Deborah left the bungalow house. She didn’t even bother to say goodbye to her husband. For her, being single started today.
On her way to her car in the drive way she met Luna Adela and Grandma Franchia.
They were surprised by her choice of clothes. They examined her from head to toe, scrutinizing her skimpy attire consisting of a black mini skirt and burgundy halter neck sleeveless blouse. Revealing too much skin.
"Where are you going, dear?" Luna Adela asked, puzzled by her sexy get up as if she was going to attend a party.
Deborah smiled. "Going to the disco bar to party with my friends. I will sleep at my friend’s house. Girls, don’t wait for me. I will come home the next day to pack my bags and return to my family’s house and stay there starting tomorrow. I will bring my son with me," she explained casually.
Luna Adela’s eyes widened in shock, stunned by her revelation. "W-what do you mean?"
Deborah smirked, loving the extreme surprised look on their faces. "I already told your son that I wanted a divorce. And starting today, we were no longer husband and wife. We are divorcing. Don’t be alarmed and feel shocked, divorce is what your son wanted from the very start. I’m just stupid for believing our marriage will work. But now my eyes are wide open. I no longer love your son. He is free to do anything with his life," she said haughtily.
Then she gave the old hag a glare before sliding into the driver’s seat of her car. Smirking, she waved them goodbye, ignoring the confused looks on their faces.
Debora drove the car to the gate and sped out of the Burke property, enjoying her newfound freedom.
Stunned, both Luna Adela and Grandma looked at each other, truly shocked by Deborah’s ridiculous attitude today.
They looked at each other, pure disbelief shone on their faces.
"Is she for real?" Grandma murmured. "What happened to her?"
"I’m sure something has happened to the couple. We both knew Deborah would never divorce my son. She was so obsessed with him, then all of a sudden she wanted a divorce? Unbelievable! I’m deeply puzzled by the way she acted today," Luna Adela blurted, shaking her head in bewilderment.
"The only way to find out what happened to Deborah is to ask your son," Grandma replied.
"That’s right." Luna Adela agreed.
The women left the mansion and proceeded to the bungalow house to investigate what had happened to Deborah.
