Gatto Notes: Chapter 3 out of 5, before I make the Poll!

Well— you know what, I'll make it till both have the same chapters, just for y'all.

But, if it reaches 10 chapters, I won't post another chapter until the chapters I post of the other fic will also reach 10, and we finish the vote.

"...These two girls…" Father stared at Rem and Ram with narrow eyes as he caressed his chin, before looking at me, making me equally nervous as the two sisters in question.

Silence loomed on the house, as father continued staring at the twins with interest, sometimes even turning his head towards me, and then back at them before nodding and going back to thinking.

"U-um… Hello, Hisa-nii's father."

Rem was the one to break the silence, and father raised her brow before looking back at me and smirking, prompting me to roll my eyes before I asked him to let me down, which he fulfilled.

"Father, I'd like you to meet Rem and Ram, as you may have noticed, they are twins. I met them yesterday and due to some reason, they will be staying with me for the foreseeable future." I introduced the twins, which prompted Rem to bow shyly, and similarly Ram lowered her head as well.

"It's nice to meet you, HisaHisa's father."

"Un. It's nice to meet you, Hisa-nii's father."

The twins said in sync. Which reminded me of the first time I saw the two in the anime.

Father on the other hand, responded with a teasing smile as he looked at me and teasingly said. "Hohoho~ Look at you boy, So young yet already picking up girls! Tell me, which one of them is the lucky gal?"

For some reason, I felt 2 pairs of stares penetrating my back after my father said that, but I pretended to not notice it and instead refuted my father.

"Nobody, we just met yesterday, and the two of them are my friends. Besides, we're just kids!"

"Hoho! While that may be the case right now, but, what about in the future? Surely your relationship with these cute girls will reach—" I hurriedly interrupted father before he could say anything further, and sighed.

"Let's leave that for the future, okay?" I looked back at the twins and gave them an apologetic smile.

Honestly, it's not that I mind, but the girls literally just experienced a traumatic experience yesterday, so it must be quite stressful for them getting teased by my father like that.

"Ahem. Actually son, I'm not just here to apologize for neglecting you and your mother. I actually planned on bringing the two of you back with me this upcoming weekend, but alas—" A regret filled sigh was exhaled by my father, and I could only pat his back.

"Moving on… I was planning on revealing this once we reached my main residence, but, since these two girls are here—I'm gonna go ahead and reveal what it is, so they can decide whether to stick around you or not, after I reveal your real identity."

I realized what he was planning on doing, and I wasn't even a little nervous if Rem and Ram decided to leave me because of it.

And just like what I had thought, Facing Rem and Ram who were visibly curious about what my father was about to reveal— My father let out a pair of black, Bat-like wings coming from his back, making Rem and Ram flinch as it unfurled in the living room.

"As you see girls, I am in fact, a devil. And being my son, Hisaki is one too… So, do the two of you still want to be with my son even knowing this?" My father smirked, imagining the twins' horrified faces, after knowing that they now met a bonafide devil.

But, unfortunately for him, contrary to his expectations, Rem and Ram, except for flinching at first due to being surprised by my father sprouting a pair of wings, didn't really get scared at all. In fact, by the looks of it, they were quite interested in his wings.

My father noticed it too, as he blinked at the girls a few times, clearly surprised that these two weren't reacting as much as he had hoped.

As for me, I sniggered inwardly, because I knew that aside from being part of the oni race itself, the world that Rem and Ram came from didn't have any notion of Devils at all. Same with Angels, Fallen angels and Yokai's.

So I just chuckled, seeing Rem and Ram stare at my dad with confused but curious faces.

"My son. What's up with these two? — In fact, why are you not surprised as well!?!" Father clamoured, seeing not just the girls, but even his own son–me, not surprised seeing the wings on his back.

In response to that I shrugged and replied.

"Rem and Ram don't even know what Devils, Angels, Gods and Yokai are… and as for me, let's just say I recently encountered proof that the supernatural world existed.

And prior to her death, mother revealed your real identity to me… She told me I can just threaten you with her asking God to smite you if you don't spoil me rotten."

Hearing this, Father flashed a gentle smile, before a single tear escaped from his right eye. "Honestly, that woman…" He muttered before wiping the tear from his eye, and took a deep breath to compose himself.

"Alright! You girls, I'll allow you to be with my son, but— you must become his personal confidants. Maids to be exact, so the two of you will need to undergo training under the head maid of my estate. Are you two fine with that?" He says firmly, his face conveying that he didn't want to hear any refusal.

"Father! Rem and Ram do not need to be my maids if—" Just as I was about to refuse his words, I was interrupted by two distinct yet similar firm voices.

"I'll do it!"

"I'm fine with that."

Rem and Ram answered respectively, their faces resolute, which made me stunned. 'Is them working as maids, their personal Canon events?' I thought speechlessly, before I sighed.

"Oh well. If that's their decision, then who am I to stop them?" I muttered, before shaking my head.

My father on the other hand, smiled proudly, and gave the twins an approving look. "Alright! Pack your bags! We will go back to the underworld tonight!"

Suddenly, father paused as it seemed he remembered something. "As for this house… Hisaki, I'll give this house to you, so you can use it whenever you stay in the human world. I'll have people clean this place periodically, and also I'll make sure that this place will stay as it is even when you come back here in the future." He muttered softly, before he turned his head towards Hisaki and asked with nervousness.

"Son, may I know where your mother's body is laid to rest?"

Hearing this, I shook my head and smiled.

"Actually, my mother wished that she would be cremated after her death. So, I went ahead and had her wish fulfilled with the help of some of Mom's friends."

I pointed towards the Altar, where a picture of her resides, along with some neatly arranged flowers. "Mother is in that cabinet, along with a letter she asked me to give to you once you came back."

And without saying anything,Father suddenly appeared beside the altar, and already opened the cabinet which revealed an urn, and a white letter.

"Rem, Ram… why don't we go buy something at the convenience store for now?" I said with a faint smile, which they promptly agreed to. So we quietly went out of the house, leaving behind father with some alone time.

The three of us went back only after a few hours had passed. It was noon, so Rem, Ram, and I decided to buy ingredients for Rem to use, as well.

"We're back!" I announced as I opened the door. In my and Rem and Ram's arms were paper bags, one for each of us.

When we reached the living room, we father, now sitting on the sofa, watching a Gundam show, smiling peacefully as he did so.

"Yo, we're back, father. We also bought ingredients for Rem to use in the kitchen. This afternoon, Rem planned on making some hamburger steak." I said, as I and the twins put down the paper bag on the table.

Father heard my words, as he turned his attention towards us before he shook his head with a smile and said.

"Rem-chan doesn't have to cook this afternoon, I'll bring you kids to a restaurant today, This will be the last day that you three will be here after all. It will be a while before the three of you come back, so I decided to bring you guys to play outside."

I looked at him in surprise, and pondered, before I nodded with a big smile.

"Hmmm… alright! I wanna bring Rem and Ram to an amusement park too, if that's possible."
