Carnal Immortal
Chapter 398: Here To Kidnap
CHAPTER 398: HERE TO KIDNAP
Amon went back home after spending another hour cuddling with Stephanie. She wanted to come with him and spend the night at his place, but Amon told her no.
He, of course, didn’t want to put Stephanie in a stressful situation. Of course, since he would be there, no harm would fall upon her, but Amon just didn’t want anyone around when things eventually hit the fan.
Returning to his apartment, he snaps his finger and gets rid of the smell of sex off him before sitting down in front of his computer.
He then begins surfing the internet, watching humans be humans, fickle, rude, obnoxious, greedy, evil, and sometimes good. Which Amon finds interesting and entertaining, as no matter what they do to each other, it doesn’t relate to Amon one bit.
He just finds the chaos amusing. Sometimes shitty people get the upper hand, and other times, Karma hits them harder than a truck.
Time flies by when you are entertained. Amon couldn’t have wished for a better time to get out of his prison, as the internet is one of the best things humanity has ever invented.
To an immortal god like him, it manages to provide endless entertainment. Every second, millions of humans put something on the internet, whether it is personal videos or a studio-produced one; a few of them turn out to be very entertaining.
It’s 2 AM at night. Amon is wearing a black shirt and white pants, which perfectly sit on his godly body, giving him a very attractive appearance.
He spins around in his chair, waiting for someone.
A few seconds later, there is some clicking and clanking noises, and then a snap, which is followed by the doorknob twisting.
The men outside the door just picked his lock and pushed the door open.
And what greets their eyes catches them off guard.
They see their target, sitting in a chair with one leg over the other, leaning back in a relaxed position, and a big smile on his face, looking at them as if he were expecting them.
They didn’t know what to say.
"Took you guys long enough. You know, I have been waiting for hours. You people clearly don’t value other people’s time," Amon says, getting off his chair and approaching them.
The ten or so men immediately tense up seeing Amon walk up to them, so they reach for their weapons.
"Whoa there, no need to be scared. I am not going to hurt you guys," Amon says as he comes right before them.
For some reason, the men find themselves frozen in fear. The absurdity of this situation is beyond anything they have ever experienced.
They came here to kidnap this man, only for them to realize he knows about the kidnapping and is willingly waiting for them. What the fuck does that mean?
Is this man a retard? Or is he not scared of them at all? And if it’s the latter, what gives him the confidence not to be scared about his current situation?
Amon smiles at the scared men and just walks past all of them and out of his apartment.
He stops and turns to look at the men again, who are still frozen in their place, completely bewildered by what is happening.
"What are you guys doing? Come out. I need to lock the door," Amon says.
The leader of the group slowly turns around to face Amon and sees him continue to smile without worry. This scares the man even more.
He has lived his entire life in a crime-filled environment. He was born in it, lived in it, got molded by it, and became one of it, and through the entirety of his lifetime, he has never experienced something like this before.
He slowly walks out, and his goons follow him. Amon smiles and closes the door. He then takes out a key and takes his time locking the door.
"You know, you didn’t have to bring so many people. As you can see, I am willing to come with you guys on my own accord. I really want to meet Danial myself. He and I need to talk about someone very important," Amon says as he turns the latch and locks the door.
The men just stand there, listening to Amon nervously.
By now, it’s very clear to them. This man knows everything. He even knows the name of the man who hired them to do this. There is nothing they can provide to Amon that he already doesn’t know.
This also makes them realize that they are in the presence of someone they should not mess with. Luckily for them, Amon didn’t exercise violence on them the moment they stepped into his apartment.
"Alright, let’s go," Amon says, stepping away from the door and beginning to make his way down the stairs, but stops midway as he notices that the men are not following him around.
"What are you doing? Don’t waste time just standing there. Hurry! I don’t have all night. I have work tomorrow," Amon says.
Some of the men flinch but are too afraid to move. Their gut feeling is telling them to abandon everything and get the fuck out of here, but they don’t even have the courage to do that.
Luckily for them, their leader decides to move, and like sheep, the rest follow.
The leader comes next to Amon and joins him on the stairs. Amon smiles while the leader is a nervous wreck.
"So, tell me, Dan. How’s life treating you? Is your wife and son doing well?" Amon asks.
The leader suddenly freezes in his spot. He slowly and nervously turns to look at Amon. His eyes were wide with shock as Amon just called him by his real name.
Even the men who are with him right now don’t know his real name, so how did Amon figure it out?
On top of that, he also knows about his wife and son? No one should know this. He made sure that not even the men he works with know about his private life, but here is Amon, asking about them nonchalantly as if he is just talking about something obvious.
Even the men following them are terrified hearing Amon’s words. None of them knew that their leader’s real name is Dan. They called him Leader, while his codename was Panther.
This is the first time they are hearing his name, and about him having a family.
But Amon already knows about it. He knew they were following him, and he also knew about their private life. Just who in the hell is this man they have been assigned to kidnap?
The more they think about it, the more they want to curse Danial. They could only praise their luck for Amon not being a violent man.
If he were, they couldn’t even imagine what kind of hell would have awaited them.
He already knows everything about them, their weakness, their family weakness. Amon doesn’t even have to hire someone to make them regret coming here. Just his words are enough to scare their souls out of them.
"They are doing good..." Dan finally answers, nervously.
"Hahaha, I already know. I was just asking to do small talk," Amon says, laughing. To not anger Amon, Dan goes along with him and laughs awkwardly as well.
"I must say Dan, you are a good man. Your wife doesn’t deserve you. You go out doing such dangerous jobs, only to come home to a wife who doesn’t love you. Your life’s quite sad," Amon says, showing fake pity.
Dan is stunned hearing Amon’s words.
"Wha...what do you mean?" He asks, shocked. Why would Amon say that his wife doesn’t love him? She loves him a lot. Every time he goes home, she treats him with so much love. They even have a son whom they love dearly.
Amon turns to look at Dan and meets his eyes. "Oh, you don’t know?" Amon says, surprised.
"Wha..what?" Dan asks as he starts feeling sick in the stomach.
"I am sorry, you had to find out like this, but... You see... Your wife is having an affair with your brother," Amon says.
Dan is stunned hearing Amon’s words.
"No! That can’t be true... You are lying!" Dan says.
"Dan, now why would I lie to you? What would I get out of this by lying to you? Just think about it. Your brother lives right next door. He is a jobless idiot who spends all his time at home. While you are away working all day, he gets to spend that time with your wife.
What do you think will happen when a woman and a man spend all that time together?" Amon asks.
Hearing Amon’s words, Dan’s world comes crumbling down.
"You should also get a DNA test. I think your son is actually just your nephew." Amon then drops another bomb.
Dan feels overwhelmed. He doesn’t know if Amon is just saying this to mess with him, but then again, why would Amon even bother doing such a thing?
Dan silently follows Amon into their car while Amon has an amused smile on his face. He wonders what Dan will do now that he himself finds out the truth by confirming Amon’s claims with the DNA test.
"Don’t worry, Dan. Things are going to be alright. There are plenty of fish out in the sea for you. I am sure you will find yourself a better woman. Someone who won’t fuck your brother while you are risking your life to make money for her," Amon says, patting Dan’s shoulders.
His tone sounds full of empathy, but that’s betrayed by the amused smile on his face, which Dan doesn’t notice.
