Catastrophe Containment Facility
Chapter 1079 - 1081: The Catastrophe Descends
CHAPTER 1079: CHAPTER 1081: THE CATASTROPHE DESCENDS
Seeing that Qiao Feiya could not hold Egger back, Wen Wen’s face darkened.
In his current state, merely dodging Crooked Dragon’s attacks was already very challenging.
If Egger freed his hands to deal with him, he could be killed in an instant.
Wen Wen was absolutely unwilling to take such a risk, so he prepared to immediately enter the Catastrophe State.
Even though he only had ten minutes, within that time he should be able to eliminate all the monsters and fugitives present!
But before he could take action, everyone present simultaneously stopped what they were doing.
Egger looked toward the east with a grim expression, his fingers trembling slightly, his eyes revealing a fierce gleam.
Crooked Dragon was drenched in cold sweat, showing an expression of disbelief; his Yuriano should have been infallible, so why were so many unexpected events occurring today?
Wen Wen flashed a smile, leaping over to stand beside Qiao Feiya, guarding against Crooked Dragon and others making desperate moves at the last moment.
As for the other monsters and fugitives, they didn’t know what had happened.
From their perspective, the sky suddenly turned gloomy, and Yuriano’s misty sky changed color for the first time.
An intangible pressure bore down on them, making their hearts race, as if someone had gripped their hearts and something terrifying was about to appear here.
To the east of Yuriano, a shadow enveloped in black mist appeared, towering a hundred feet, eclipsing the eastern sky.
Wen Wen recognized that the shadow was the silhouette of the Black Night Knight.
The shadow of the Black Night Knight walked step by step toward Yuriano, and with each step it grew larger, soon covering the sky, the immense pressure nearly bursting the hearts of Yuriano’s monsters.
When the shadow occupied half of the sky, it suddenly disappeared.
At the same time, three figures abruptly stood in the center of the square.
They were the Black Night Knight, Morning Star’s Goddess of War Ishna, and Ha Erman, who was just tagging along.
Ha Erman, suddenly finding himself in the city, shuddered and glanced around, then spotted Wen Wen and happily waved at him.
Wen Wen, with Qiao Feiya, walked over calmly, playing the follower’s role, as now that the heavyweights had arrived, there was no need for him to intervene.
Crooked Dragon’s face turned ashen; now he regretted recruiting Egger, having been overconfident in Yuriano, which led to attracting two Catastrophe-Level enemies to Yuriano.
"Quickly kick me out of Yuriano, you promised you wouldn’t let the Black Night Knight catch me."
Egger shouted at Crooked Dragon; with a single thought, Crooked Dragon could place him outside Yuriano, and the Black Night Knight wouldn’t be able to chase him.
But Crooked Dragon slowly shook his head, as letting Egger out would also easily release others,
yet then what, leave himself to face these two formidable Catastrophe-Level adversaries?
He could leave through his own means, but then the Bronze Wedge would remain inside Yuriano, and he’d lose control of Yuriano!
Crooked Dragon was absolutely unwilling to let this happen, so he intended to keep Egger to battle these two Catastrophe-Level experts!
Seeing Crooked Dragon’s response, Egger felt a surge of murderous intent; he understood Crooked Dragon’s thoughts and added Crooked Dragon to his must-kill list.
But now he had no other choice, he roared in rage and once again erupted with the force of a Catastrophe-Level powerhouse, transforming into a colossal mass of deformed, bloody flesh.
These fleshy tendrils rapidly spread, assimilating any monster they touched in the blink of an eye into monstrous forms, and Egger used this blood flesh generated by the transformed monsters to grow even more powerful swiftly.
The Black Night Knight drew two short blades, walking toward Egger with a slight gravity.
This guy was certainly no match for him, but Egger’s last-ditch counterattack carried some threat; at this moment, Egger was burning his life every second, and the Black Night Knight just had to stall time to exhaust Egger to death.
Ishna did not intervene in the battle between the two; instead, she watched Crooked Dragon with interest, flashing a trail of Jin Guang as she appeared instantly before Crooked Dragon.
"The thing floating behind you should be the controller of this place, right?"
Ishna courteously asked, then reached out to grab the Bronze Wedge.
"Don’t touch it!"
Crooked Dragon roared, his dragon scales all standing on end, lunging at Ishna in a bear hug.
But Ishna did not even glance at him; he was directly bounced away by Ishna’s protective Jin Guang, his meat-grinder-like dragon scales shattered, bleeding from every orifice, looking quite miserable.
Only, the corner of his mouth was too high, so it looked like the blood was flowing down from his cheek.
Seeing the Bronze Wedge about to change hands, Crooked Dragon shouted, "Yuriano, protect your master!"
The Bronze Wedge floating in mid-air instantly emitted a large amount of blue light, like a mysterious totem, landing on Crooked Dragon’s body.
Ishna appeared ghost-like outside the blue light, throwing a punch at it, and the shockwave blew everything nearby into pieces, anything close directly turned into mincemeat.
But the strand of blue light remained steadfast.
Yuriano was at least a Catastrophe-Level containment item, and this blue light was its protection for its master, not enough for Crooked Dragon to best Ishna, but it allowed him to endure a Catastrophe-Level attack for a short time.
Ishna smiled slightly, "Interesting."
She then began to furiously punch the strand of blue light, while inside, Crooked Dragon’s flesh was loosening under the mighty vibrations; without the blue light, a single punch could end his life.
To the east of Yuriano was the battle between the Black Night Knight and Egger, while to the west was Ishna’s furious assault on Crooked Dragon.
Approaching the Catastrophe-Level battlefield meant life was in constant danger; the only safe area in all of Yuriano was a moderately-sized spot in the south.
The monsters living in Yuriano and all the vicious fugitives were hiding there, shivering in fear.
Now Crooked Dragon had closed off the entry and exit paths, and none of them could leave; they could only wait there for their final fate.
Wen Wen unfurled black wings behind him, leisurely flying to Zhu Pengpei’s side, looking at him with a grin.
Zhu Pengpei’s face trembled with fat, "Big brother, you just said we’re friends; can you let me go for the sake of our friendship?"
"Let you go? You’re not even taking your horse..."
Wen Wen dug his ears, then blew a breath, "Sure, we’re brothers, so I’ll agree to your request—if you have a horse, let your horse leave, but the pig, I can never let go."
